What really sold me though was how warm and lovely Mary was on the phone. She wasn't pushy AT ALL about signing up- she even told me to wait until the first day to sign up/ pay in case my daughter was really afraid and didn't want to do it. My daughter was a little reluctant about surfing but the counselors/ instructors eased her into it and by the 4th day, she was standing up on the board, riding the wave! The ratio of counselors to kids was outstanding and the counselors were caring, patient, and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. My kids made great friends, had a blast, and were up surfing right away with lots of encouragement and help when needed. Little kids, like my 4 year old, take turns going out one on one with an instructor and get to catch waves like everyone else. It's amazing, safe, and a great value for what you pay. Not a problem but we told him we had been learning on glass boards and preferred looking at those. He then proceeded to say "Oh! So you're popping up and riding waves? Wow. Not to sound like I'm better than you but most people who learn from non professionals are already doing 5/6 things wrong..." I then immediately walked out.
