Nice place . Pretty small lobby (pool table at the lobby) overall clean rooms , we got the beach view which was gorgeous.

Manager Alex grasped gift bow I couldn't in my grief outside at beach railing, I didn't lose Joe's Bow thanks to professional courteous Alex

God Bless You All! Anything that might need suggested emailing could do. Genuine Comfortable-ness. Everything there for an airport to shore stay escape (carousel in heated roundhouse included! : You find out about that old shoreline brown brick building near it!)! Manager Alex, Jessica, staff All were authentic!, such a gifted respite from worse scenarios. ! 40yrs a Floridian: Waves' interior even in late NJ winter gives beach vibes, same 24hrs I was Sarasota FL Siesta Key beach to the Waves' Long Branch NJ it felt next room not miles! Singles to families I noted here. Walk to eatery Choices& shops. Sound of ocean waves assured my life's questions gambit / prayers heard. I or You were meant to see this place ! Thank You All for it's helpfulness to life/Good things ongoing !

It's my second time reviewing because I stayed in the hotel this time around. Last time we just did massages. The hotel is beautiful, location and views are perfect. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The front desk staff was helpful for an easy check in process. Overall, a very smooth stay. I did an 80 minute deep tissue massage. Rheena was awesome. She listened to what I mentioned about the areas I use the most at work and really tailored the massage to that. I really appreciated it and left feeling relaxed. I used the Fitness Center. The equipment was clean with a nice selection of dumbbells and a resistance machine. It was small but had all of the essentials with a perfect view of the ocean. The only areas that could do a little better -- it's hard to find reasonable breakfast food. They have the coffee shop but the food selection was like a Starbucks as they weren't offering the full menu. I have a gluten problem so there was essentially no breakfast option for me. Branch Cantina had terrible food which I reviewed separately. That being said I went to the nicer restaurant in the hotel a few years ago (which wasn't open when I went this visit) and their food was very good so during "peak season" the food concerns I had probably don't play in as much. I love Pier Village and I think this hotel has a lot of excellent qualities. I recommend it all around.

LONG BRANCH: Wave Resort is not only a dog friendly hotel, they also have Yappy Hour once a week at their outdoor Carousel Bar! All animals must be leashed on the property. Every Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm there are drink specials, doggie treats from Doggie Sweets, dog rescues, and beautiful views of the ocean! Check their website for schedule and ground rules.

When we photographed at Wave Resort, the weather started off terribly but thankfully the venue has beautiful tall windows in their spaces which was perfect for getting ready photos. Their balcony also had a covered area which we used for first look. Because of rain, we also used a few spaces indoors for photos which was fun as their lobby is nice and colorful. Once the weather got better, we were able to go outdoors and use a lot of the fun Long Branch locations like the boardwalk and merry go round. Wave is definitely a unique venue and one that is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed working with their staff and they made the day run smoothly for our couple. Looking forward to going back one day! Jenn & Ro J&R Photography www.jrphotony.com

This is one sad representation of a resort No beach chairs, loungers or umbrellas after October 1st. Most of the restaurants were also not available during my stay. If you partake in legal recreational cannabis consumption don't do it anywhere near the property. They will charge you $200 for smelling like cannabis. This "resort " will also double or triple charge you so make sure you check your credit card statements

Looking for a short vacation not too far from home for my wife and my birthdays, we settled on Wave Resort in Long Branch. Having stayed at Asbury Ocean Club the prior year (and being pretty disappointed there), we wanted to try something different and Wave Resort seemed like it had what we were looking for - luxury hotel, right on the beach, ocean views and a bunch of nice food choices both in the hotel and at the surrounding Pier Village. As an Amex Platinum holder, we noticed a couple of days before our trip that Wave Resort began participating in Amex's Hotel Collection. Unfortunately it was past cancellation time as our original reservation was made direct through the hotel so we couldn't cancel and book directly through Amex. I figured it was worth a shot and brought it up to the front desk at check-in. They were able to accommodate us and allowed us to cancel and book quickly through Amex's portal so we would be eligible for Amex $200 hotel credit and $100 food and beverage credit. Really great service at the front desk. Friendly, courteous and efficient. Surprised to read some of the reviews about negative customer experience as we experienced such great service throughout. The room was really nice. We had a Deluxe Oceanfront King with a direct view of the Ocean from a nice sized balcony (again - a far cry from Asbury Ocean club where their oceanfront rooms are mostly street & parking lot, and a lot of neck-craning to see a slither of ocean). Pretty spacious. Nice decor. Balcony could have been a little cleaner but at a beach resort, not too surprising. We had a little issue with Chromecast on the TV but the hotel was quick to send over engineering. Two gentlemen who came were a great help and got us up & running in no time so we could enjoy all of our streaming services on a rainy day. No Room Service yet - I definitely recommend the hotel thinks about adding it. But we didn't miss a beat using UberEats and Doordash for a few meals. The front desk was gracious enough to even bring up our orders most of the time. Much appreciated! We had some small bites at the Boardwalk Cafe off the lobby. A nice bright and airy cafe with sandwiches, croissants, muffins, etc.... Great for a quick bite (and also eligible for the F&B Amex credit). We also had a dinner at Branch Cantina, their Mexican restaurant. Food was very good as we sampled their Nachos, Chicken bowl and Chicken tacos. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great - we had some cool and rainy days, so didn't get to try the pool or the beach, but we walked around Pier Village - a nice upscale shopping and restaurant center. There's a 7/11 right up the block if you need to pick up some convenience items. Two restaurants that we loved were Simply Greek (delicious authentic Greek food) and Turning Point (a good substitute for Room Service breakfast - great eggs/omelets/etc...). Their home fries were amazing! All in all - exceptional guest services - from the Valet, Bellhop, Front Desk, Cleaning Service and Engineering - everyone had a smile on their face, was helpful and efficient, and helped to make our stay a terrific one. We're already planning our next excursion here for later in the summer when hopefully the weather will be nicer and we can get to try out the pool/beach. Forget the negative reviews, as someone who has travelled often and sampled many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world, Wave Resort is definitely a worthy upscale Jersey Shore destination.

I really liked this resort! Had a chance to come for a work retreat and they were sensational. Granted, I didn't partake in the background planning, but everything was flawless. From the room to the spa, such great hospitality and accommodations. In talking with the locals, this is the newer, more upscale part of Jersey Shore (right up my alley) and they did not disappoint. I'll have to come back in Spring/Early Fall to do it all again. Bonus: In visiting the spa, Ingrid gave me a very relaxing full body massage! She got all the kinks out. Much appreciated!

I didn't stay at the Resort but attended the New Year's Eve Candlelight Concert, and it was an enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the Drinks and Food served were pretty good.

A very nicely manicured beach front resort nestled within Pier Village at Long Branch. The resort is modern and clean. Some of the amenities include an outdoor heated pool, a spa, kids playroom, fitness center, and several restaurants onsite. The room is very nice. We booked a deluxe oceanfront room which has a walkout balcony that overlooks the boardwalk and beach area. It wasn't cheap by any means, but when compared to the nearby Ocean Place, I'll gladly pay extra to stay at Wave instead. I also like the fact that because Wave only has around 60 rooms, it never felt really crowded in the hotel. Only negatives for those considering Wave are that the rooms are a tad on the small side, and like I mentioned before, it is not cheap to stay at Wave, especially during peak season.

Had a lovely stay here. Front desk was welcoming, parking staff were great. We had a room with the ocean front view and could watch the sunset and sunrise. Only issue was it was cold. 66 degrees in the room when we checked in. When it wouldn't get warmer we had to get someone to come check the thermostat and then they had to go into the computer to let the thermostat go past 68. Still never really warmed up. Other than that, everything was good.

But my god, it is splinter hell. Us, along with 3 other families that we knew of, were realizing at the pool that us and our kid's feet were completely full of splinters. We spent a total of about 3 hours at the pool over 2 days and my four year old had over 50 splinters in each foot! I had about 10 and spouse a few less. My four year old will not even let me look at his foot, nevertheless remove the splinters - yeah right. I think we are going to need to get sedated. This has ruined the stay to be honest. The hotel also didn't have tweezers. At least two families complained and nothing seemed to be done about it. The deck is extremely dry. This wouldn't be a hard problem to solve. ICE. I requested ice about 20 different ways, because there is no ice machine so they say just request it: - through the app on their tablet (3x, nothing) - through calling the front desk (2x, nothing) - in person at the front desk (2x, nothing) - through text to the front desk (4x, nothing) - in person to the person that came to the room one night (2x, 1x worked!) I got ice once, woohoooooo! The tablet is a joke. I needed an extra bedsheet and requested it through the tablet and it never came. In person at the front desk it did, however. Beautiful hotel, but the splinters ruined it. You could not pay ME to stay somewhere that my autistic kid gets 100 splinters in his feet. The hotel is feeling a bit neglected in some ways. Our "terrace" had algae on the deck area, one couch cushion had a big brown spot and there was half of a DEAD BIRD on our terrace. It was there the whole time. Of course my 4 year old was enthralled.Yay.

I am writing this review because I feel strongly that a family was treated extremely unfairly by…read morethe owners of the Surfrider Beach Club. This family had been loyal members for approximately five years and built many friendships within the club community. For the 2026 season, they paid roughly $8,000 in membership fees. About a week before the official opening, they stopped by briefly--at approximately 2:55 pm, just minutes before the 3:00 pm closing--to drop off a single bin at their cabana. This was a simple, two-minute task. Instead, they were confronted by a maintenance employee, Jimmy, in what can only be described as an unnecessarily aggressive and disproportionate manner. The situation escalated quickly over something minor and easily resolved. Thankfully, their children were not present to witness it. The following day, the family was informed that their membership had been canceled. According to the owners, this decision was driven by the same employee, who reportedly threatened to leave if the family remained. He also made several accusations against them--claims the family firmly denies. What is most troubling is that the owners appear to have accepted these accusations at face value and made a drastic decision without a fair or balanced review. Long-standing, paying members were removed based on one employee's demands, with no meaningful attempt at resolution. The explanation given--that the club "can't afford to lose him right now"--is not only disappointing, but speaks volumes about how little value is placed on members who have invested both financially and socially in the club. The impact has been especially hard on the children, who were part of the swim team and are now excluded from a place that had been an important part of their summers for years. At its core, this situation reflects a serious failure in judgment and management. Members should expect fairness, professionalism, and basic respect--none of which were demonstrated here. Anyone considering joining Surfrider Beach Club should think carefully before making a significant commitment. Based on this experience, there is little assurance that members will be treated reasonably if an issue arises. While this has been a deeply disappointing experience, the family has fortunately found another club where they hope to be treated with the consideration and respect they deserve.

The price of the room is that of a 5 star hotel and the lobby and event spaces are amazing. But the hotel rooms themselves feel like a 2 star hotel unfortunately. Really needs an update. The bed was comfortable but the furniture, the noise, and the old AC system were surprisingly low effort. I wouldn't stay here again unless I absolutely had to due to proximity to their event space.

I highly prefer to just be able to call, and this felt like one of those modern updates that are actually less convenient. I ordered room service, and here is where I would give 5 out of 5 stars - the staff here was very friendly and sweet. The spinach and egg white wrap I got? Y'all, skip it! I'd even say, please take this off the menu. I couldn't eat it. The mushrooms were chewy and tough. And the combination of everything was almost muddy? I'd suggest maybe trying to dress the spinach and seasoning the eggs. The coffee was fine. I highly preferred the espresso! Not bad, but I might go elsewhere next time.

The front desk staff was professional and courteous. One young man was clearly in training, and the young woman guiding him was extremely knowledgeable and polite which to me was a great example of mentorship done right. Unfortunately, our original room had a heater that was rattling loudly and had pooled water on top of it, which I recorded and showed to the front desk. To their credit, maintenance responded quickly, and the technician was friendly, professional, and even helped move my luggage. He brought us keys to a new room, and the front desk upgraded us to the North Suite, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture. The North Suite was fantastic with a large space with a massive balcony and beautiful views, along with a comfortable seating area outside. Sadly, due to the season, it was too cold to enjoy the balcony, but we appreciated the feature. That said, the suite wasn't perfect: The shower area was oddly dark, with little lighting. There was no air vent in the bathroom, which seemed unusual. The sink was smaller than the one in the standard suite. Neither of the two TVs worked, though I didn't want to complain during the stay and just mentioned it at checkout. The bathroom door didn't latch, which was a minor but noticeable issue. The smoke detector is missing from the ceiling, which gave me pause. Despite those flaws, the service and staff stood out. I witnessed two bar employees being rudely berated by guests over late food (which obviously wasn't their fault), and they handled the situation with professionalism and calm. I was so impressed by their professionalism under pressure (and so thoroughly disgusted by that table of senior citizens who should know better than to act that way) that I tipped each of them $50 each on top of our drink tab to make up for how poorly they were treated. Speaking of which, the bar area is a wonderful little spot, with friendly staff and the occasional live music, making it a fun place to unwind without leaving the hotel. The cocktails are excellent as well. This hotel has long been our go-to when in town, and while there were a few issues this time, the staff's attentiveness and care truly made the experience special. We're already looking forward to our return in 2026. TIP: Be mindful of where you park! The handicap parking is limited, and one of the spaces is under a tree that's heavily populated with birds.
