Clean, sleek rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Great family-friendly pool, nice spa, gym, kiddie room. Staff is Excellent-- not more than 10minutes to fulfill any request. Pool staff excellent. Front desk great. Maya restaurant- excellent service & delicious. Only complaint for the resort is the distance between the beds and the dressers-- way too narrow. Especially when you have a wobbly toddler that falls into & gets a bruise from the bedframe that sticks out too far from the mattress (but the website photos so accurately show this). Also, the shower could be better sealed so as not to leak to the floor. Beach is pretty clean, could use at least 1 path to go towards the ocean for carriages , and better communication for beach staff to restaurant (technically there is no food service). read more

Came for an anniversary getaway on a Thu/Fri, because there are usually weddings Fri-Sun and didn't want to be around any of that. With that being said.... Pros: - Staff was nice / helpful - Nice location - Bed was comfortable Cons: - This place is wayyyy overpriced. - The balcony chairs are cheap and rusty. So bad, that I had to put a towel down to even sit on them. In fact, there are even rust stains everywhere on the balcony floor from them. I paid for a nice view, ruined by a cheap balcony set up. The balcony light that stays on the whole night is annoying, too. - The glass door to the balcony, and all the balcony glass was filthy. Looks like they haven't been wiped down in a long time. - Bathrooms toilet paper roll was broken, and the paint job looked rushed / bad. - The walls are thin! We heard everyone's conversation and showers next to us. I was woken up at 4:30am from my neighbors alarm going off! And all the screaming loud kids / people in the hallways throughout the night. - On the 2nd floor, you hear all the noise below, from the cafe and restaurant, and people passing by. - Valet / parking is an ugly fenced off area across from hotel that looks like a construction site. I was so surprised to check into this over priced hotel and was nothing but disappointed. It took forever for our room to be ready, the pool is tiny, nothing opens until 11am. The elevators were dirty, the hallways were not clean. The other hotel guests were just as sloppy - cups left all over the pool area that no one cleaned up, leftover food in the hallways for days, towels no one picked up. A woman was changing her kids diaper on the white sofa in the hotel lobby and no one said anything. Everything is expensive and the quality is not great. Not only is the place unsanitary but it's truly uneventful. It's actually sad. I would never come back ever again. read more

This place needs proper management. It's currently being run by teenagers. My room was lovely however I was promptly disturbed every morning by 8am from the blaring club like music coming from the pool area. I complained multiple times but to no avail it kept occurring during my week long stay here. The hotel was stingy with the water, which is always a pet peeve of mine. When I am paying over $500 a night for a room you can provide complimentary water. They also price gouge you on the the parking at over $55 a night to only put your car in an open dirt lot. Lastly there is no room service. Lacking all of the luxuries of a marketed luxury hotel if you ask me. Know your customer !!! read more

This hotel claims to be a 4 star resort. in order to be 4 star, they need to have a restaurant open everyday. They have 2 restaurants and a coffee shop. Both the restaurants were closed upon my recent stay. non 4 star. They offer NO room services, so basically you can eat there. The coffee shop is a joke. They have pre-made breakfast sandwich's that they stick in Microwave to heat. The are no serves. If is completely self serve and the food is served to brown take out boxes. The coffee shop had 1 employee who was rude and not helpful. The food was terrible. 2 bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich wit 1 OJ and 1 coffee were $40. served pick up style in a brown box. Now the room, it was dirty and not well cared for at all. The light color fake wood floors have burn stains and look like they haven't been cleaned in a while. The couch was badly stained and I would not sit on it. There were no chairs in the room and no table either. The refrigerator could only hold 4 cans of coke and nothing else. There was a coffee maker, but no microwave. The closet space was jokingly small and the gave you 2 hangers. There is nothing 4 star about the wave it has none of the required items you would fine in a hotel. The price is very high and you pay $55 per night to park in an open lot. when we arrived there was a car valet and park you car for $55 per night. however there was no doorman and no valet to bring you bags to the room. They gave us a porters rack and told us to bring the bags to the room ourselves, then leave the rack in the hall and someone would come and pick it up later. By The way you can't bring the rack into the room past the bathroom as the space between the bed and the dresser is only 18". The beds were comfortable that is the one and only think about this Hotel that was good. I would NEVER stay there again and I would recommend no one stay there. A total rip off. read more

If I could give zero stars to this resort I would. From the moment we walked in through the doors it was nothing but problems. We booked through a third party website which I understand we got a deal for, but that is no reason for us to have received the terrible service we had. We booked to stay from Sunday to Monday as we had a wedding nearby at 5pm Sunday night. We arrived at 3pm, which is the check in time listed on their website, and were told our room wasn't ready yet. We weren't given a set time, just "15 to 30 minutes", and we told them that we had a wedding at 5pm and would like to get into a room as we needed to get ready and were told we could check in at 3pm. 50 minutes went by as we sat in the lobby, we went to go find someone to see if our room was ready and they said that our room was finally ready at 3:50pm, 50 minutes after check in. We get our keys and head up to the room and as we get to the door we hear people talking in the room. We knock on the door and it turns out they gave the same room keys and room number to my mom and I who also booked a room, even though we were on two separate reservations under different names. Imagine if we had opened the room to complete strangers in there? We went back to the front desk and told them what happened where they barely apologized and gave us a new room. This new room was situated right in front of both elevators on our floor, plus the service elevator for staff, which we heard beeping and dinging ALL day and night. We were also woken up at 8am by the doors being slammed constantly by the cleaning staff (who were understandably just doing their job), but this was very loud. To top it off, we paid ahead of time through the third party website. When we arrived, they asked us for a credit card where they charged us AGAIN. We told them we already paid and showed them the receipt, they removed the charge from our card. Then a few hours later they mistakenly charged us for a second time. As other reviews said, this place is absolutely not worth anywhere near the price. $55 for valet to park our car in a construction site filled with rocks where my care came back filthy. Dirty balcony. Sand on the floor even though we had not been to the beach. Bad service. Cleaning staff waking us up early. read more

This is a review based on my personal experience. I am copying and pasting a letter I sent to management to best explain how I felt. I will say that the spa was lovely and the pool staff were hospitable. My husband and I stayed at the Wave Resort on Friday July 16 and Saturday July 17. The property was pretty and we were excited for a weekend away. On Saturday evening I contracted food poisoning and was violently ill for the next 9 hours. When my husband went to the front desk for crackers or bread, or something to soothe my stomach, he was advised to "go and get crackers himself". When I called and begged for bread or anything that would help, I was told that he would "see if he could find something, and if he could, he would send it up". To say that these remarks are not only unprofessional, they do not represent the level of customer service or hospitality one would expect when spending $1200.00/night. If I had a house guest who had food poisoning, I would be sure to run out and get them anything they would need. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I have never stayed at a property before where I didn't feel as though my needs were important.   I wanted to also bring to your attention that people not staying at the resort were at the pool.  They simply walk in behind other guests.  This does, again, not reflect the exclusivity one seeks when spending money for a weekend away at a hotel with a pool for guests only. read more

The experience here was horrible. The construction quality is not good but we could have lived with that as it is relatively new but it will get older fast. Our real problem was that we were paying $1100 a night this weekend, only to find that the floor above us was being used both night for weddings with large crowds and very loud live music. Poor construction means that they didn't shield for this kind of sound so we had to listen to crowds jumping on our ceiling until late at night while the band played on. Don't come here on a weekend unless you verify that you are not on the 5th floor and that there is no big party on the roof level. read more

We booked a stay at this hotel on November 26th and checked out November 28th or 2021. Will never go back or recommend anyone else stay either! 1. Way over priced to not get what the pictures show! Our view was a dirt parking lot and metal construction fence with advertising all alongside of it! Minimal ocean view as long as we stayed staring to the left!! 2. They're clearly not used to having many people of color stay there because wherever we went inside the hotel we got "the look" smh never a hello, good afternoon, Goodmorning or how can I help you! 3!! Upon checking out I noticed my business account charged additionally in the amount of $250. I immediately called the hotel to find out what the charge is and was told someone would call me back to explain. Instead I received an email from the night auditor saying the charge was for smoking in the room. This accusation was outlandish because we never once smoked in this room. My husband however recreationally smokes marijuana, which in the state of New Jersey where this hotel is located is completely legal as well as the state I live in NY. He would do this off of the premise that weekend while going out for activities OUTSIDE the hotel and at times use their garbage cans for trash. The only thing I can think of is their housekeeping is taking that evidence from the trash and using that to say we smoked in their room but in fact we did not!! I have now been calling them since the 29th of November to find out what lead them to believe we did this and to have my money refunded to my account but am getting nothing but the run around told everyone from accounting to management will call me back but no avail. I can only think that they have no evidence of this and do not know how to refund this money back to me without admitting they had no grounds to charge me! I have now called once maybe 2x per day since to speak to someone and they are not taking this matter as seriously as I am! One because it is my hard earned money and two because I want to make sure they know they can not make assumptions of people which lead to them being out of hundreds of dollars! I want my money back and an apology from this hotel! There could not have been any evidence of smoke detected in this room and I want them to prove it! Knowing they can not because it didn't happen I want to be repaid immediately and no longer given the run around. I will never stay more recommended anyone stay at this hotel. read more

From the moment you drive up until the time you leave you are greeted with such an awesome, professional and overall friendly staff. The rooms are very chic, spacious and incredibly clean. We also tried two of their great restaurants: 100 Ocean for Dinner and Ebb's for Lunch. Both were top notch and again the service was amazing. 100 Ocean is more upscale and has a very romantic, candlelit vibe at night and during the day they throw open the large doors, let the ocean air come in and some days even have incredible live music! Some of the items we loved: Ahi Tuna Tartare, Crisp Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Cauliflower, Braised Short Ribs and the 100 Ocean Burger (mmmmm!). Oh and definitely top all of that off with one of their signature cocktails! To top all of that off, the views of the ocean are absolutely stunning! And you are a stone's throw away from Pier Village. The Wave Resort is Highly recommended in my book and I can't wait to visit again! Special shout out to Ryann Liguori for all your assistance! We had a wonderful stay at a special property and an exciting project. From our arrival and Valet w the no paper system to the friendly greeting and efficient check in, exceptional Head bellman (Theo) who shared detailed info on the hotel to our check out, outstanding. Our room was Beautiful, comfortable and consistent with Practical, functional design, very appealing. The building Beautifully positioned on the boardwalk with attractive lighting. Looks spectacular. Our Dinner at 100 Ocean was delicious and our waiter knowledgable and helpful with food that was creatively presented and deliciously prepared. Over all an excellent experience and your team is off to a great start. I met with Julian the general Manager in the morning and talked shop,. They have a solid team there with great attitudes. I'm not sure where to start, at first glance the hotel itself is pretty. Our room was stark to say the least the closet was insanely small, the balcony has a gorgeous view l, however there was not even a chair. We were told that we had to request that and they brought up 3 orange plastic chairs. No ice bucket that was also a request only item. No iron, no luggage racks also a request. They clean with what smells like the same cleaning products that are used to clean the nyc sidewalks. No valet assistance with your luggage when departing and then there was a 2 week long issue with the billing. My friends card that was used to book the trip had erroneous charges being billed for week after we left the hotel. Yes the location is great but even at the pool which is small but lovely there was not consistent service which was supposed to be until 5pm. We did enjoy the spa the hostess was lovely and so was the massage specialist. That said I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel. read more

I had stayed at the Wave once before and enjoyed it so much that I went back for 5 days and booked two rooms for my family. I thoroughly enjoyed the dos, I had the best foot massage imaginable. My son had an exfoliation scrub. Thedpa at the Wave is too notch. The problem I encountered was construction was going on, and I was not told this when I booked the rooms. I have adusabked daughter , so everytime I wanted to go to the beach I had to take her completely arojndthe hotel. Along walk for her. In addition to this, there was constant banging that could be heard in my room all day. To make matters worse, I had an oceanfront room, next door they had a dog, it barked and stuck its nose on the balcony between rooms , so I couldn't even enjoy my coffee on the deck. When I checked in I was given 4 complimentary drink cards to use in their new restaurant. When I went there, they said they didn't take them. I told the front desk, they said they would speak to them. We sent again and the same scenario happened. The food was pricey but just ok. When I checked out I was told because of the inconvenience they would remove 4 resort fee charges off if y bill. This was not done. We spent about 9,000 dollars there, and I can say this, never again. BTW, both roomswere only ckeanedonce, we had one roll of toilet paper, had to ask for it, and no tissues, I am very disappointed. When I returned home, my makeup case, all my medication, and credit cards were missing. What a disaster for me. read more

**WEDDING REVIEW** Do not get suckered into what this place does well: social media, photography, and posing to be a high end resort/venue without experienced and quality people running the place. We got married at the Wave Resort this past August (2020 covid bride here) and the staff and management of the place completely ruined our wedding. This place will continue to get bookings because of the location, and yes the rooftop is stunning. But if you can deal with poor execution of a wedding because you want that backdrop over the ocean, then go for it. Also, tell your guests to eat before they come. Our wedding was replanned due to covid rules (which we understood) several times, on top of this place mandating their own rules that weren't even formal NJ restrictions. Ryann although a super sweet person, fell short of executing our wedding due to a lack of communication with her staff, but most importantly with the executive Chef on the night of. We changed our wedding so that we could still host it outside, with just 50 guests. If you can't get it right with 50 guests, I really don't know how they can execute a non-covid wedding so just beware. Unfortunately, we had impeccable timing with a short summer rain shower that started the moment I walked down the aisle on the outdoor terrace. We powered through the ceremony, but the cocktail hour needed to be about an hour delayed. Anyone could have seen on the radar that we needed to just wait it out so we could enjoy the terrace, the one thing we looked forward to for the venue. During the hour of rain, it was complete chaos as if they never knew the rain would come so I'm sorry that they had to reset 9 tables, but being that we were one of their first weddings they should have had all hands on deck. We had our first dance inside, with our friends and family all masked in an awkward circle of the ballroom. Fine that worked, but they didn't even bother to turn the lights on for us and staff was no where to be found, it was just bizarre! Once the rain cleared, we went outside to start dancing and to re-start the cocktail hour. Our guests didn't receive a morsel of food until 8pm. To put this in perspective, the rain was cleared by 6:45 (Ceremony ended at 5:30) and they still couldn't get cold food out on the table in a timely manner. Our families were starving and it was just the tip of the iceberg for the evening. We paid to upgrade to a raw bar appetizer, which was poorly done and not even what we ordered. What we paid for: oysters, shrimps, clams, tuna poke, salmon tartar, Hamachi and yellow tail. What we got: oysters, shrimps, clams, and slabs of raw tuna and salmon ( no soy sauce mind you, so inedible). The meat and cheese platters for the table were completely pathetic. The items looked like they picked them up from a local shoprite and threw them on a plate. Then our pasta serving (3 different types) and 8 more appetizers were just completely NOT SERVED TO US. I stormed inside when I saw that they started serving the dinner when we hadn't even received any of our cocktail hour items where Ryann told me 'Chef said we lost the hot food' Excuse me? How did you lose all of this food? Did you just throw it out? Did you not even make it? I'm sorry but I've been in banquet planning and group events for years, none of this food would have 'gone bad'- it actually can remain just fine under heat lamps or reheated. Or why can't you remake a bag of pasta? The cheapest thing on the menu and they refused. What we still don't understand to this day is, how did you fire the food when you knew it was raining at the start of the ceremony. Even if the food was made too early, you had 1.5 hours to remake it or to reheat it at that point. The chef said 'it wasn't up to his standards to serve'. I'm sorry but this was a private event that people were STARVING at, we needed the food out! It was beyond embarrassing and I went to all my tables to apologize for the lack of food after telling them not to eat all day and how amazing the cocktail hour would be. I was in tears for half of my wedding whereas if Ryann and the chef had better communicated the plan, none of this should have happened. Fast forward to our discussions with the Wave post wedding, we were just distraught the days following the wedding of how much of a complete mess the evening was. The food and beverage manager is completely rude and inadequate at his job, Anthony. Months later they finally give us some money back for the food not served ( not enough), and promised us a $300 gift card and free stay at the hotel (they mailed this to us in mid November mind you and we have to use it by Dec 2020 so a complete joke). When we told Anthony this wasn't a fair offering and wanted to pursue legal action he basically laughed in our face and told me 'yea Jared Kushner owns this place' so basically good luck lawyering up. To give this hotel even 1 star is generous. The staff is rude and unprofessional. How is it that my key was able to open up 3 rooms on the same floor? I accidentally went to the wrong room and was able to open the door. Thank goodness the guest had their chain lock on otherwise who knows what I would have walked into. When I went to the front desk, I was given yet another room number and yes my key worked for that room also? The front desk literally did not offer any help or guidance. I was treated poorly and was not respected. How does one feel safe at this hotel, knowing that anyone can enter your room and the staff simply does not care. They are not concerned about the safety and security of their guests. I definitely would never recommend this hotel and will not go back. read more

This review specifically regards a wedding celebration held at this resort. We found the venue unaccommodating. Simple requests that would have been automatic at most places (for example, the father of the bride wanted to get into his room early to get dressed for pictures) would not be honored. Communication was poor. The phones were often not working, and messages were not returned. The resort jerked the bride around, A LOT, changing arrangements, which of course, cost more money at every turn. For a business in the hospitality industry, it was exceedingly poor customer service. The food was good, not great. The drinks varied wildly in quality. Overall, the value provided was poor, especially for the price. One positive note: the people working the evening of the event did a very good job, especially Tyra, who coordinated the proceedings. read more

The Wave Wedding Venue: Save your Money!! Had my son's wedding, a Sunday brunch at the Wave. Was excited for the day, the ceremony went smoothly but the rest was a disaster. The cocktail hour, hardly no food was passed out that I ordered, the brunch was not set up completely, they set up an egg station with 1 person working it and I had 140 people waiting 2hrs for eggs, then after asking where the rest of the food was I was told that the chef wanted to put it out at his own pace. By the time some people got eggs, there was no bacon or potatoes left. The brunch was from 12-3pm. they served only eggs by one person till 1:45pm. then they brought out chicken and salmon, not the way it was supposed to be cooked. We got cut up chicken, which was dry and dry salmon, my menu was for chicken breast cutlet with wild mushroom and roasted tomatoes, it was a bunch of cut up leg, thighs, and breast with bones. The salmon in lemon dill sauce with sautéed spinach was just a bunch of overcooked salmon sitting in oil in a dish. We never got our carving stations. The person in charge told us she does what she is told. I spent my entire day apologizing to my guest for the lack of food that the chef decided not to serve. It was the worst Brunch, if you can call it that , I have ever experienced. Thank god I ordered the Ice Cream from The Baked Bear, so my guests got to eat Eggs and ice cream! I had many people come to my home after the wedding we ordered white castle's, everyone was hungry. They need to fire the chef and get a better matradee, she was the worst." although they heard my complaints and concerns the next day & in turn refunded some of my costs, no amount of money can replace a wedding day and frankly I wouldn't trust them with yours" read more

Two summers ago I figured the Wave had to work the kinks out. Last summer, I figured it was Covid - by now, the hotel should have this figured out. You can't charge over $1,000+ night and deliver 2-3 star service. Check in is not permitted before 3. Guests cannot use facilities until checked in. If you're lucky, you can get to the beach by 4:30. Be advised, by 4:45 your told quite rudely, to get up off a chair, the chairs have to be packed up, and taken away "closed by 5". Today one employee said to another " just take the chairs". Regardless of having 75-100% occupancy, be prepared to get kicked off the beach area. Keep in mind, you can stay on the beach, but since you have no towels and no chair, you don't have much luck. Three days in a row, we have been told they did not receive their towel deliveries. How is it possible a hotel trying to portray an exclusive image, cannot receive towel deliveries for several days. You would think they would take advantage of the 5pm "kick off the beach" crowd at 5 pm, and welcome guests to the pool. After all, why attempt to generate business or offer guests an alternate place to cool off. Don't count on that, because if you go to the pool once your kicked off the beach, hoping to relax and perhaps enjoy a late afternoon cocktail, you'll be greeted with we close at 6 pm and already starts to close up. Lack of service, rude employees, and no hospitality, including the day shift front desk (manager?). One understands why the employees are rude, she must be training them. The only positive service is house cleaning, which do a thorough job. Very few staff on site are accomodating, which suggests the hotel needs to recruit qualified personnel, and clearly pay the employees so they are not so miserable. It clearly doesn't resonate with staff that service matters and should be expected. This starts with management. Nice location, but the price does not reflect service. I can not even begin to explain how unpleasant my stay was here. The staff was extremely rude, unprofessional and not accommodating in the slightest. I have been to so many awful and dirty motels and this by far has to be the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel EVER. Keep in mind all of these events took place within 12 hours: - Check in was miserable. Took over 20 minutes and was met with an intense and unprecedented indifference despite our politeness. - When the 6 of us asked to leave our bags while we went to the beach before the room was ready, the man "helping" us made a huge stink that we had 8 bags. At first he refused. We had to beg him to leave our bags. -After some friends of our walked over to the beach to see us, I was woken up from my nap by a beach boy to inform me that if they come to the Wave seats again, they will be kicked out and so will we. For $500 a night I should be able to bring a velociraptor onto the beach if I wanted to. - I had to call 4 times to get sheets on the pullout couch and finally after I asked a very kind woman in the lobby, I had one paper thin blanket and one pillow upon my arrival from dinner. The man yelled at me over the phone for calling, like I was such a pain in the ass for wanting to sleep. - Food at the hotel is no better than a school cafeteria. Seriously it was that bad and cheap. I made a yelp account just to post this review to warn everyone of how awful this establishment is. Beautiful on the outside and fabulously decorated, but the service was absolutely despicable. So disappointed and infuriated with the staff. This place has a lot of potential but desperately needs help. read more

The wave resort was very beautiful! Very modern and the pool was nice as well. Unfortunately the staff were extremely rude and not humble at all. Typical young and privileged girls who didn't really care about anyone or anything but themselves. The bell man John was truly amazing though! Valet guys and Theo the head bellman are awesome! Super friendly and helpful... very friendly! The hotel itself is beautiful- brand new, amazing location and great little extras such as complimentary snacks and drinks in the rooms. I love the room! Very cute and modern... The pool is very pretty though I got here late so it was all lit up, I will have to check it out in the morning as well! I'm going to give 4 stars because I'm sure it will be amazing once they hit their stride, but here are the issues I had: The front desk person wasn't quite as helpful. She wasn't able to give me late checkout and said I would have to call in the morning to ask then. I also asked for her to break a twenty dollar bill to which she said she couldn't... with no explanation or options to do so were given. Next, I was checking out the amenities binder and saw that we are supposed to be provided a wristband at check-in for the amenities including beach access, I did not get one at check-in so called the front desk, and again was told to ask in the morning. Additionally I wasn't asked if I parked a car, and later in my room remembered the valet telling me to be sure to have the front desk validate by opening the parking link on phone... again would have been nice if I was asked if I parked a car, you know, the little things they should ask patrons, as it's hard for us to remember everything after traveling all day. I don't know if these issues were because I checked in late... but if so she probably should have explained to me there was a reason for all the things that were amiss. In the morning there were several people at the front desk but one of the girls said I will have to wait for the guys at the computer to give me the wristband. So I waited as he finished what he was doing on the computer as everyone stood around and watched. Once I got to the guy he said just use your room key for now as the wristbands haven't come in yet... so why didn't she just tell me that instead of make me wait in line for NO reason?!? They have to get their service together, once they do I'm sure it'll be a true 4 maybe even 5 star place. Again, the hotel itself is amazing and totally a 5!! read more

Just celebrated my Birthday and stayed at the resort for one night and IT WAS AWESOME!!! My room was amazing, the views were amazing, and the staff was amazing. I would definitely recommend the oceanfront room on the 5th floor. Room 515 to be exact. It offered the best views and had a wrap around balcony. For dinner we had a delicious meal at Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant which is only a 5 minute drive from the resort. Looking forward to returning very soon. read more

We just had Easter dinner from the Wave hotel. Ordered in advance for curbside pickup, in accordance with the current pandemic. This ran incredibly smooth and I know they had plenty of volume to concern themselves with. Food was just excellent, chef out did himself! I had asked for my duck breast to be rare, which I hardly expected to come to fruition. Well, it was cooked perfectly and impeccably. I'm already thinking about my next culinary experience with them. Horrible "resort". Were treated poorly by staff. While getting breakfast, we notified the front desk we would be back before checkout. At 10:30am the staff banged on our door repeatedly for 5 min when check out was not until 11am. Bartender was very rude and was name calling us, who were paying customers. read more

We had an amazing stay here. Yes, it's true that there are some minor kinks to be worked out, for example our phone didn't work in the room, but other than that, things were wonderful. The location is awesome. You are right across from the beach and they have an area for hotel guests. The pool is heated and beautiful, although the area is a bit small and it can be hard to get a chair if you are too late. The room has a lot of amenities including a Nespresso machine and a Samsung Smart t.v. The restaurants on site were good, too. I found the staff to be very helpful. Since this was just a short stay, we didn't have time to indulge in all it has to offer, like the salon and spa, but we'll be back. Yes, it's true that there is ongoing construction nearby but once this is done, it will look much better. You are a very short walk from the Pier Village shops and restaurants as well. Very family friendly. I will be back next Summer for sure. read more

My wife, daughter and friends had a reservation on Saturday for a spa day at The Wave. They were first time visitors and chose this as an alternate to the Ocean Place Spa which was booked. While the staff made every attempt to be helpful and nice, the facilities are ill conceived and do not cater to the volume of guests they book. Everything in both the women's and men's locker rooms and showers is designed for single users (as in 1 guest at a time sink, shower, etc.) which is literally the most unexpected configuration in a spa that had dozens of guests on site. The relaxation room is a shoe box and guests had to share ottomans to sit down back to back. My wife's party had to take turns changing in the men's locker room which despite having been cleaned was very repulsive to them. The treatment was absolutely lame and the prices outrageous relative to facilities and treatment. We do not recommend this spa for any reason whatsoever - do yourself a favor and book elsewhere so you don't ruin your day at the NJ shore. read more
