Also the SOB burger and the cheesesteaks the best one was on Lehigh Street because he had jalapeño cheddar poppers. Those were fantastic. This location didn't have them, but it is a shame that Willie Joe's is no more. It was one of the great hotdog institutions. What a shame. Just like Pete hot dogs in Bethlehem. That was another great hotdog institution with great chili cheese, dogs and chili cheese fries. I placed a mobile app order at this McDonald's and paid for it, but I never received my food. I waited about 20 minutes for curbside pickup, then went inside to ask about the order. The restaurant was very crowded and unorganized. When I spoke with the manager on duty, she did not seem to understand my order even after I showed it to her on my phone. She kept referring to only part of the order, even though there were additional items. She was not rude, but the situation was handled poorly, and she had to ask another employee to explain how I could cancel the order or request a refund. I was told they could not refund me because the order was placed through the app. I paid for food I did not receive, and after filing a complaint, I still have not been contacted by the restaurant after about a week. Very disappointing experience and poor handling of a mobile order issue.

Soda had been overfilled and cover had soda floating on top; so could not tilt without it spilling. A security person telling people to leave after being in there 30 minutes; he could have been wiping off the tables. The worker's families blocking traffic in main entrance to wait to pick them up. They simply could have parked ten feet from the door in the lot. A manager was arguing with customer who used APP to order stating that the price on the screen in their kiosk was not updated and extra cost was actually a dollar more; very disrespectful and annoyed those of us who did not need to hear the conversation or proof of how dumb the employees hired are.

So this is a review, 13 years in the making…read more I used to work in the Allentown area and one of my coworkers suggested stopping for lunch. I had passed Cali Burrito several times but didn't know much about it. My life was forever changed. My tried and true order is the 'Humbolt". It's perfect in every way and it appeases to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I have turned several of my friends, family and coworkers on to Cali Burrito over the years. Id like to mention I lived in San Diego and the burritos in Allentown, Pa far exceeded any burrito found in the Golden State. I now live in Virginia Beach area and my love for Cali Burritos knows no distance. Yesterday, I had to take a drive into the area and you better believe I stopped in for a burrito. 720 miles, round trip and worth every mile.

I finally managed to get my car in Cali's parking lot. But, I had to wait for another patron (which…read moredidn't take long) to arrive and I followed them into the restaurant. It's not easy to figure out where the enrtance is. Okay, so I ordered the the ground beef tacos for $12 bucks. You get 2 tacos in a basket with tortilla chips. The chips are a bit weird and different, still not sure how much I liked them. Like Moe's, they have a salsa bar with 4 salsa choices along with various condiments. The salsa's are tasty and I like the flavor in all 3 I tried. I ordered tacos and what they brought to my table resembled a tacos, but the taco expectation ended there. These so called tacos, to me, aren't realy tacos at all. Their assembelled usinf both a hard shell and a soft shell (Taco Bell offers something similar). Whatever you call it, taco is not the thought that comed to mind when eating it. I was hungry and did manage to eat both of the tacos, but considered throwing out the 2nd taco. I was confused and unsure what I was eating. The ground beef wasn't bad, but my main complaint at a Mexican Eatery nearby (Plaza Azteca} is the same. The ground beef is unseasoned. This is fundamentally wrong to me. All the Taco Kits at the grocery store come with a seasoning packet to add to the ground beef when preparing the tacos. I left unhappy, that's not to say I wouldn't try their burrito's. They looked good as seen on other patrons tables. I'm 70 years old and the theme of Cali reminds me of the 60's/70's. The decor, interior, and interior are psychedelic. Retro throwback to the hippie days. The staff reflects that theme - they came across in a kind weird way to me; but not in a bad way! Their is no shortage of happy campers enjoying their lunch (I went at 1PM). It seems like a cult following which speaks to the freshness and quality of the food served. I'm still unsure what was in the alleged tacos I ate. Lol!

Destiny, the cashier, was very friendly and offered to take our order at the kiosk. I appreciated that because the kiosk can be overwhelming if you don't know the menu. She knew the menu and kindly answered our questions. I got an avocado burger with bacon it was delicious!! I will say though for that and a small drink it was over 14$ which is very high to me. I'm not sure the value is there but you WILL get friendly service AND delicious food. After lunch we both got dessert. I'm the boring person who ordered a plain vanilla small custard- it was frozen hard like ice cream but very creamy, refreshing, tasty and smooth. My friend opted for the coffee milk shake- I tasted it and it was delicious!!! When we were eating a young man checked on us while walking by and I mentioned it was our first time there and he asked if our expectations were met. I really had no expectations but I was happy with the experience. He seemed very glad to hear that. As a water drinker I REALLY liked the tap of fresh, cold, triple filtered water! The kids who work there are top notch and seem to work well together and they know a thing or two about providing excellent customer service! Oh- and through the course of our meal the place steadily got more crowded too! PS The restrooms were clean and fresh too!
