Stopped in on a Sunday morning on my way home from a wedding in Stroudsburg. It was a bit busy and I had to wait about 8 minutes for a table, not bad at all IMO. The hostess was great and took my name and kept giving me status updates. Finally sitting me when a spot opened up at the bar. My server chris was great, efficient but pleasant. Took my order, got my drink, and kept my drink filled while I dined. It's standard Waffle House grub, my bacon and eggs were perfect, but I will say my toast was more like warm bread. I'd ask for it dark next time. The waffle came out a few minutes after the eggs which is actually how I prefer it. Like a dessert after my savory breakfast. Plenty of parking in the lot, conveniently located to a BJs wholesale club so I gassed up after breakfast. No frills, but a solid breakfast, would definitely stop back again. read more

I love going to the Waffle House! There aren't any in NJ that I know of so any time I get a chance to come across one I try to stop in. Now this particular location happens to be 5 minutes from the Lehigh Valley Airport and we use this airport frequently to take casino charter flights so anytime we leave from here I try to leave early just so I can stop at the Waffle House... Now my favorite is the pecan waffle, I always get this and depending on the time of day is how I decide the rest of my order. This particular day it was in the afternoon so I also got a Cheesesteak melt sandwich. Both were great. I ate half of each and I was good to go. My husband went with his standard Bacon Cheeseburger with hash browns. Our server was great very friendly and on top of the drink refills. We finished up and we were off to the airport. Now I look forward to January to our next trip to Lake Tahoe and my next Pecan Waffle :) read more

Saturday around 7pm. It was slow. Only two-three other tables besides us. Sun was shining and we were exposed to the bright sunlight through all glass walls. The service was fast. Got the two eggs breakfast with grits. My girlfriend said the grits were cooked very well. Overall, we were satisfied, two people dinner for approximately $30 and the portions were huge!!! read more

Someone was fighting in the parking lot at I walked in. Half way through my meal the fight went from the parking lot to inside the restaurant. The staff became angry and started to hit them with mops. Both men then started trying to fight the staff. One jumped on a table and tried to jump on an employee, the employee then caught them and threw them through the table. It's Saturday morning and you've got a 4-5 hr drive in front of you. You plan to get up early to get a good start in front of any traffic, and of course plot to see if there's a Waffle House anywhere en route. Wheeeeee! There is! I pretty much almost always order the same thing - two eggs over easy with white toast, the hash browns, bacon - extra crispy please, and coffee. I can't complain - everything was served as I wanted and the server was super friendly. The only downside to the entire experience was that this location is perched in the most awkward slice of concrete around a busy traffic intersection, with very limited parking. Bring in a sweater or a small blanket because it's freezing in there! Otherwise it's your normal Waffle House! And if you've ever been to Waffle House, you know what the deal is! Visited this particular WH in 2012 and again today and it's still a great Waffle House experience. Love the consistency and the niceness of the staff. They make your bacon crispy if you ask and man oh man I love the hash browns! Although capped (mushrooms) isn't on the menu anymore they still know what you mean when you say it! Lemonade was actually amazing and had bits of lemon in it! Bathrooms were super clean and it's easy on and off the highway but it's definitely in a congested area. read more

Let me start off by saying I LOVE waffle houses, and it is such a treat to go to one since there are none by me. My boyfriend and I came here while on vacation. The food took a while to come out; but we are understanding that a lot of places are short staffed right now so that didn't bother us. The food was awesome (per usual) when it did come. However, the service was poor at this location. Our server wasn't attentive or friendly at all. I actually saw a couple sit, not be greeted by anyone, and eventually get up and leave. Tables had dirty dishes all over them, and no one cleaned them up, or took the dishes away. They just pushed them to the side and sat customers at tables with dirty dishes. Waffle house is an amazing place on so many levels. It has a cult following as well as just being consistent and awesome. The kitchen staff has their own lingo and you can't possibly not enjoy your meal, I would find that to be an extreme situation. Apparently the federal government uses "THE WAFFLE HOUSE INDEX," to gauge the severity of a natural disaster. It is an informal but absolutely use system internally with a couple of agencies. I found this out by accident while looking something up. You must look up "the waffle house index" on Wikipedia. It's a very short read and again it's really funny but apparently true. As far as this particular location they are just as consistent as all of the others I've been to and the wait staff is friendly and (mostly) attractive with regards to the waitresses. read more

On one of the coldest days in January 2021 the restaurant didn't have the heat on, we ask to turn the heat on and the waitress Krystal said the manager had a lock on it. So I had to sit with my coat on. By the time our food came it was cold and the manager would not reheat it. I ordered the Texas Bacon Egg and Cheese Melt with a side of home fries with sausage gravy. Straightforward food, no complaints and nothing out of this world. Bacon was cooked well, cheese was melted nice, and Texas toast is always delicious. The home fries and gravy needed a little salt but other than that was solid. I guess I have been missing something here by not getting drunk before going in for a mid-night comfort food breakfast. Sadly, I have only been going to Waffle Houses around the country for the last few decades for breakfast or lunch when straight. If I enjoy it under normal conditions, I can imagine how much better it would be with my senses washed out and my coordination impaired. Thank all you tankers for the insight. Yet, even with a clear head and a good night's sleep I really enjoy my rare opportunities to visit any WH for a fun and filling meal. I was happy to find one so near my hotel in Allentown, and knew instantly that would be my first stop in the morning before the conference commenced. I sat at the low counter to the side of the grill to watch the food being cooked, and be able to chat with the staff as they bustled around. The WH coffee was fresh brewed and an instant pick-me-up. They kept my mug full without reminder. The Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit was steamy hot, flakey, chewy and spicy; just the way it should be. They do it so well. This appeared to be a newer Waffle House among all the recent development on Airport Road close by Lehigh Valley International Airport. It seemed bright and clean. The staff was a mix of young and old, and I admit to having a soft spot for grandmotherly ladies in logo shirts and ball caps. Next time in the area I am sure to stop in again.
