** 4 Stars ** Normally I would give most 7-Elevens 3 stars just on general principle for what they are. But this particular location get 4 stars - because it was my first 7-Eleven, the one that took my 7-Eleven virginity away from me! We moved to the Washington, DC area in 1975 and lived in the Westmore Community in the City of Fairfax for many years. We lived a couple of streets away from this 7-Eleven. I remember staying up all night in the summer - playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons and sneaking out of the house at 1:00 am for a 7-Eleven munchies run - that almost always included 7-Eleven microwave burritos, Dr. Pepper, Funyuns Onion Rings, and untold legions of other fast food garbage. As kids, we used to take all of the pop bottles we could find and return them to this 7-Eleven for soda and snack money. During High School, hanging outside of this 7-Eleven on Friday and Saturday evenings was a way to score a bag of weed. In later years, gallons of 7-Eleven coffee gushed forth into my system and kept me alert and awake. I've darn near probably bought close to everything a 7-Eleven can sell from this location. Today, was a mere bottle of water. But it was a stroll down memory lane. My first 7-Eleven. Ever.

If I forget to pack breakfast or make coffee, this is my go-to spot for breakfast or a snack to tie me over. Service is typically good and quick. Store is clean. Coffee is always hot and freshly brewed. They sell as close to healthy options as you can get on the go like Chobani Greek yogurt, fruit, granola bars, and sandwiches on whole wheat rolls. Managers are polite. Always busy, but they will open a second register if a line begins to form.

Cleanest, least funky smelling 7-11 I have ever been in. Awkward parking lot though.

This 7 11 sucks because I ordered a full pizza and I only got 3 slices and we hade to wait at the cashier register for 15 min

I saw Haraz on Instagram right around the time they opened, and the photos and videos of the interior and the food are spot on. The designers knew exactly what they were doing with the color pallet, lighting, and furniture to design an open, welcoming, and relaxing space reminiscent of the Middle East. You order at the counter either through a tablet or with an employee, and if there is a line you get a few extra moments to gaze into their pastry display that also features my favorite pistachio milk cake. It makes a lovely, light dessert or midday treat. Another pastry-specific highlight is their bee bites. It looks like a bubble waffle but is a toasted bread with cream cheese and honey. They are busy pretty much at all times of day and on the weekends especially. Morning coffee, early afternoon, and even late at night with large groups hanging out and enjoying coffee. Haraz is a chain/franchise, but they know what they're doing to make it feel local and like something special. They employees are always polite, patient, and helpful.

The coffee was good, and the interior is beautiful, but the croissant was extremely disappointing. It had very little filling, and what little was there barely tasted like almond. I might stop in again if I happened to be in the neighborhood, but otherwise, there wasn't anything particularly memorable about the experience beyond the lovely space.

The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered at a coffee shop -- they remember your name, your order, and somehow always make you feel like the most important person in the room. The coffee? Next level. Whether you're a straight-black-espresso purist or someone who loves a beautifully crafted latte with stunning latte art, De Clue delivers every single time. The beans are clearly sourced with care, and you can taste the quality in every sip. My go-to has become their seasonal special, and I look forward to it every single visit. The space itself is absolutely charming -- perfect for catching up with a friend, grinding through some work, or just enjoying a quiet moment to yourself. It has this rare quality of feeling both lively and relaxed at the same time. De Clue Coffee isn't just a coffee shop -- it's a community.
