I am writing the review on behalf of my husband who got a much needed haircut from Julio. I sat and kept him company so I got to know Julio and the services provided at Wax Man Spa. First of all, let me see that my husband got what could be at other places an $100 haircut for $35, which in itself is amazing. Julio took his time, asked my husband lots of questions about how short he wanted his hair, and stressed that as long as the client is happy, that is what matters. We also learned all about the skincare services (men's facials) and waxing services. Julio is no nonsense when it came to talking about the most popular waxing services (Brazilians and butt cracks...who knew!) The staff there really seem knowledgeable about all the products they sell, and when I asked for a product for ingrown hairs, he had some great recommendations. Bottom line, this is a great addition to Lawerence and I would highly recommend any guy stop by. He also said they do women as well, so make it a date! read more

I wasn't going to write this review. I was just not going to return but after pulling wax out of my hair I decided to go ahead and post it. I booked an appointment for a Nostril wax. I've had this procedure done every month for the past 3 years in another city. So I thought I'd give Waxman a try as its close to my home. It was a mistake, I explained to the lady, I'd had this done many times before. She had me lay down. I asked why? I asked if she used a hard wax (green) she said yes, and asked me to lay back. I asked if she used Popsicle sticks. She said yes. Then she processed to apply wax up in my nostrils. I asked don't you leave the sticks in? She just keep talking telling me how it may hurt when she pulls the wax off. I again explained I've had this done many times. But never this way!! It was the worst Waxing I've ever had!! She applied it 4 times in each Nostril. Each time getting wax strings across my face and trying to pull the hair! I finally asked her to stop and I got up. I asked for a Kleenex and I was trying to get the remaining wax out of my nose. I started to bleed and she offer an Oil, I declined and asked for alcohol to apply up in my Nostril, which is very important to apply after waxing the inside of your nose. Needless to say, she saw I was unhappy. She spoke with the owner and he offer the service for free, I offered many times to pay. He offered to have me come back and he'd take care of me personally. I agreed I'd check back in with him in a month. But after finding two big clump of green wax on the top of my head. Im not returning. My recommendation, Google nostril waxing and make sure your tech, uses Popsicle sticks a hard wax and you're not laying down! read more

Christine has always done an amazing job on my hair. Recently my hair was a hot mess, the ends were blown out. It was frizzy, damaged and I didn't think there was a way to come back from that. She recommended the Pravana hair straightening treatment and I've been getting compliments on how healthy my hair looks. Julio is the best aesthetician around. I have been going to him for years for waxing and facials. I have been burned with wax before from other salons so I am always nervouse about getting a wax. He has never burned my face when he waxed me. He is gentle, professional and I highly recommend him. I have also gone to him for haircuts, style and color. He is up on all of the trends and he knows what looks good on my face. I have a round face so it is challenging to find a hairstyle that makes me look hot. Julio manages to make it happen every time.
