I have seen Matt for close to 10 years, I think. The reason I can't remember how many years is that it has been so easy to use his services I don't give it much thought. Many say "Why a men's grooming parlor? Isn't that exclusive?" The reality is that you aren't going to win that discussion, but there are certain things that men can prefer to have done by another man. I will give you an example. Brow waxing, men want their brows waxed where they will not come out with feminine shaped brows. I have seen too many men come out of a salon looking like they have the eyebrows of a drag queen. Matt does not do that and all the other services I have had were impeccably and professionally done. I have now moved but will drive the extra distance to see Matt. Yes, he is that good. read more

Very cool aesthetic at the salon: 1970s private men's club?? When I arrived this afternoon, some chill bossa nova (Bebel Gilberto) was playing and I wanted a rum cocktail to go along with my wax! The salon is actually a converted condo above Antiprima italian restaurant in Andersonville. Matt mentioned it used to be a brothel used by the men's strip club downstairs. If the walls could talk...
