I have been coming here to get my brows done for about 6 months with good experiences. Little disappointed with results tonight though. My brows aren't even and probably due to a language barrier. I was happy with them when she showed them to me, but I made a comment that my thinner brow had caught up to the thicker one. She definitely didn't understand me because she then went back to working on the thicker side and made it thinner. I should have stopped her, but I thought maybe she was just going back to get a stray or something. Lesson learned. I'll still go back, just took a step backwards on evening out my brows. read more

I hate to write this place a poor review but I feel that I should be honest about my experience. It was less than enjoyable and I walked out upset. 1. Did not listen to my needs 2. Waited for a ridiculous time 3. Did not get a full 60 min facial- although, that's what I paid for. 4. Facial was awful. Product in my eyes, steam felt like it was burning my face off. I wanted to be short and precise however if you want all the details of my experience, please keep reading. I went to this place because it had good reviews. Needing some me-time, I decided to get the Anti-aging facial along with a threading of my brows and a wax for my upper lip. It started out just fine. The woman working started threading my brows and while she was doing so, I mentioned I had very sensitive skin and needed special treatment when it came to the wax for my lip. Well, apparently she wasn't listening because she completely disregarded what I said, and my lip got very red and swollen after her wax job. Then it was time for my facial. They asked me to wait 5 minutes so they could set up. As I was waiting, 6-7 people walked in needing brows and waxing. Well, the staff decided to attend to them before doing my facial. I ended up waiting closer to 20 minutes. Once my facial started, it just went downhill from there. She was super rough with my skin. She used too much product and it got all in my eyes and nose. I had to ask for several tissues to get the product out of my burning/watering eyes. She also put the hot steamer too close to my face, making it feel like my face was getting burnt. I had to push it away myself. And then to top it off, my facial (that was suppose to be 60 minutes) only went on for maybe 50 minutes, and even that might be pushing it. I think she was rushing my facial since they seemed to get a rush of people coming into the store. Needless to say, I was not happy with this place and will not be going back. So much for my me-time. read more

Groupon led me here , this place is about 40 minutes from my home. I went to get a Brazilian wax and it was the most painful one I've ever had in my life. The person who did my wax kind of disappointed me because she would put a strip of wax on the bottom all the way to the top and instead of doing piece by piece the wax on the bottom half would dry before she can rip the wax from the top half and my hair was getting stuck it was the worse. I've never had a wax done that way usually area by area. Then when she finished she put antiseptic on the area and INSIDE my actual private area in between the lips. I was burning all the way home (40 minute drive) I wanted to cry it was very quick which I appreciated but the worse experience ever. The only good part about it was the friendly staff read more

I love this place!!! I came here back in April for the first time to get my first ever Brazilian wax. I had a Groupon for it. I use the sensitive skin wax, & it was such a heat experience! While painful the first time, it was quick and they are super chatty which help time go by quicker. The second time was much better pain wise & Nikki does such a great job! This place is a good 20minute drive from my house, but they are currently running a living social special so i gave them a try. SO glad i did! They are very professional, clean, and communicative. I expressed my concerns, and my aesthetician (i believe her name was Naurin) was attentive and responsive to my requests. I went to get a Brazilian wax for the first time and let me say I was nervous to the core! I had an appointment in which I arrived on time and was asked to sign and have a seat. It took 20 minutes for someone to come assist me to the back and keep in mind the place was empty with only one customer who was getting there hair curled! I went in the room she briefly explained the process and told me she would be right back so I waited another 15 minutes. She came back in and asked me to lay back so she can begin! She never once said one word besides the time she asked me to stretch back my skin for her! In which how you performing a procedure and I have to work so that blowed me! She finished waxing me and rubbed something on it and told me to get dress and meet her at the desk to pay! I get home and look at the job and she didn't even do a great job I still had some spots with hair left and had to clean it up myself! I will not be going back here again read more

Had my first Brazilian wax today. The woman asked me to review the business. As personal as this is, I'm happy to do so. First, the business was very clean, from storefront to bathroom. My attendant was Minaz. She was friendly, professional, and explained everything she did. I found the fee to be very affordable ($25-$30) and was very satisfied with the results. I'm a pretty free-spirited person and things, such as nudity, do not usually bother me. I was a little apprehensive but Minaz put me at ease. This place is great. I walked in on Sunday and had my eyebrows threaded. Grace performed the threading and did a great job, fixing some of the mistakes of the disastrous waxing I had just before. Also, it was virtually painless, which is a sign of a skilled threader. I was impressed with the service and that business so I returned the next day, with an appointment, for a Brazilian wax. I opted for the Nufree wax even though it was the more expensive option because they claim it's less painful. It still hurt--it is a wax of a delicate area, after all, but I do think it hurt less. Grace also performed the wax and took great care. I also can't believe their prices. Even opting for the more expensive wax, I still paid a little more than half what I paid at my previous salon, and you get a stamp card that gives you your 6th and 10th waxes free. Wax, Thread and Scissors has definitely earned itself a new customer. read more
