I've been here several times, getting my eyebrows threaded by different individuals every time. Every single time, I've been satisfied. This establishment offers walk-ins as well as appointments and the waiting time has always been minimal. The workers are very sweet! Today I was serviced by Asma and I must say, my eyebrows are perfect! She was very attentive and quick. She made sure I was satisfied above all else. If that isn't enough, this service only costs $9. Though eyebrow threading is the only service I've received here, they offer a variety ranging from waxing, sugaring and keratin hair treatments, which all also seem to be very affordable! Ok, girls. I'm SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRR picky about my eyebrows. Like....borderline mental patient crazy. I don't like them too thin and I like a nice, natural arch. That's not too much to ask, right? WRONG! Ever since I moved to GA from NJ/NY five years ago, I have been on a desperate hunt to find an above average (yes, above average...told you I am super picky) eyebrow professional to take over my once luscious eye brows. I've gone from place to place, only to be disappointed with the lackluster results. The worst thing is when the so called professional takes off the ends of our brows so we have to draw half of them on with a pencil. We all know that that pencil only stays on part of the day and the rest of the day you're walking around with half of your eye brows. People don't know if you're surprised, happy, sad, etc. because they can only read half of your expression. Lol. Terrible. Fast forward to yesterday, 4/15. I had let my eyebrows grow out for like two months because the last few places messed them up. We all know that it takes FOREVERRRRR for our eyebrows to grow back once they've been hacked up, especially if it's on a reoccurring basis. Anyway, I found Wax, Scissors, Thread through Yelp upon looking for a place to resurrect my brows. Ladies, they were dead. They looked absolutely horrid. When I pulled up to the store front, I saw two girls leaving and their brows were on fleek (as the kids say..lmao). I rolled my window down and was like 'Hey girls!!!! Who did y'all brows?? They look AH-Mazing!!!' They started laughing and said Noreen did one and Nikki did the other girl's. Y'all, those girls' brows were on point. For real. Once inside, there were several ladies waiting patiently in the waiting area. The salon was clean ( a MAJOR plus in my book), neat, and nicely decorated. So far, so good. I asked if Noreen was available and was told that she had just left (there was an employee walking out when I walked in) so I asked if Nikki was there. The lady that I was speaking to cheerfully said that her name is Nikki and asked me to please sign in and have a seat. After waiting for about 15 min, another technician walked in and it happened to be my turn. I thought about waiting for Nikki but I figured I'd take my chances and just go with the flow. So glad I did. When I sat down, I told the tech that I let my brows grow out for a couple of months and that I needed someone who knew what they were doing to really do a great job on my brows. She and I talked for about 5 minutes about what I wanted and what she would do to get those results. I laid back and prayed to baby Jesus that she wouldn't leave me with half brows and try to tell me how it was my fault that they didn't come out as discussed (y'all know how some of these places do. Most of these places try to convince you that your brows are even when you know dang well one is high and one is low). She did one brow and then handed me the mirror (y'all know it's time for inspection when they hand us that mirror). It was AMAZING!!! She took my brows back to 2005 when I had those long, luscious brows before Ming Lee and them (the different Asian nail spots) started hacking on them over the years. She did the other brow and it was just as good as the first one (that doesn't happen often. Most places get one right and the other one looks like who did it and ran!!). She told me about tinting them and I agreed to try it and they were even more amazing. Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled. Ladies, if you live in or around the Kennesaw area go to Wax, Thread, Scissors to get your eyebrows done. Everyone of them are great at what they do. When I sat sat down in the chair, the threader (I didn't get her name.) offered complimentary water, refrigerated or room temp. She gave me a quick consult regarding my brows before getting started. At the cash register, she typed in my name and phone #, which took a while. I didn't care for a receipt or to join an email/text list, but I complied because I didn't want to be rude. Wax, Thread & Scissors is a hidden gem! The owners, aestheticians, and cosmetologists are wonderful and always very professional. Naurin has been threading my brows for almost 2 years (and if she isn't available Nikki is usually my backup) and has brought them back to life. She is sweet, always very accommodating, and makes you feel comfortable. Rarely have I ever had to wait more than a minute or two to be seen. I used to come here and it was okay. Who would want to pass up $25 Brazilian Waxes? But the saying you get what you pay for is entirely true. They get finished with their Brazilians in 5 minutes, which is entirely too fast, because they are careless and don't rip the hair from the root, but instead just pull the hair apart, which makes the hair come back within a few days. They don't even wait for the wax to cool down, I remember the last time I was burned and had a scab for a few days down there.I had a small patch on one side at the top and I asked the waxer could she remove it. She said with an attitude "That's actually not part of the Brazilian, but I'll do if for you anyways." If it wasn't part of the Brazilian (which to my knowledge and every other place/time I've been here it is) then she should have left the other side of hair alone as well. They leave so many hairs, its ridiculous. And the hairs grow back in a couple days since its broken apart and not taken from the root. But you can't expect much when you pay $25. I stopped going here for my waxes but I continued to get my Eyebrows threaded. Again, they started off looking nice, but the more I frequented the uglier they got. I came a day before I had a special event to attend back in August and my eyebrows were so uneven and ugly, I could tell that the waxer was messing up my eyebrow shape after she showed me the first one, so I told her just leave my other eyebrow alone but clean it up. (I'd rather walk around with one good eyebrow then two ugly ones) She proceeded to mess that one up as well. I had to have a friend do some damage control on them before leaving the house. I even had damage to my skin by my eyebrow coming here and I totally forgot that this was what was probably the last straw for me. I tried here one more time after I found a punch card for a free eyebrow service after cleaning my room months later, and now I see why I stopped going, you're much better off going to your local nail salon for these services, because they do a way better job.
