I had an all around great experience at Waxing The City from the moment I stepped in the door. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming. I only waited about 5 minutes before my waxer came to get me which was great since I was a bit early too. I saw Kathy for a brow shaping and she really did a fantastic job. She actually listened to what I wanted (unlike one of their big name competitors, who I've been sporadically going to over the past few years due to being roped into their wax pass). This is a great salon, and the customer experience was amazing from the moment I stepped through the door. Honestly this was the best wax of my life and I get them monthly! The brow wax was so soothing. She used baby powder to prep so it also smelled really good. The wax was a great texture and didn't hurt at all. This was such a thorough wax and she covered more area than I've previously had (more on the forehead). She also took her time tweezing what the wax couldn't pick up, and even had one of the magnifying lights you would see in a dentist office to make sure she didn't miss a single hair! I also had my abdomen waxed and it was almost comical how different of an experience it was to the brow. Be warned - it was a bit aggressive, but it was extremely thorough. She went extremely quickly in terms of applying and ripping the wax so it wasn't soothing like the brow by any means, but she did a fantastic job. She also finished with tweezing and using the magnifying lens, taking her time there too All in all it was an extremely thorough experience at a low cost. This place is amazing! I decided to try this place out based off the good reviews and yelpers know what they are talking about. I called a weekday morning and they were able to schedule me for later that day. I was greeted accordingly and seen properly at my scheduled time (timeliness is key!). For new customers you get 50% your first service so it's totally worth giving them a try. Gabrielle did a fabulous job with my eyebrows it's the first time I've got them done anywhere where I didn't feel like I needed to touch them up. She took her time, understood what I was looking for and they came out PERFECT! Yes it's probably on the pricey for eyebrows (regularly $21, reduced to $18 if you buy a package), but for the service it's worth it. Went for my first time today to get my eyebrows done. The staff was so friendly. The store was cute and clean. Kat did my eyebrows and they are amazing. I have never had such a great experience. Waxing the city is the complete opposite of European wax center. In fact every European wax center should be legally banned. They speed wax and torture you. Not at waxing the city the price you pay pales in comparison to the quality of service they provide. I am a regular customer at this location the staff is professional and the cerologists work ethic is superb!!
