We gave Wayburger a try and honestly, it just didn't impress. The concept feels like it's aiming for a cross between a smash burger spot and Steak 'n Shake, but it misses the mark. The burger itself was decent, but mine came out pink in the middle--would've appreciated a heads-up that I needed to specify doneness. The fries and tots were underwhelming, and the Oreo milkshake was just average. We ordered the Cheesy Burger with tots and a build-your-own single with fries. The burgers here were actually good, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth because of the misleading promotion. They hand out flyers saying you get a free classic burger with your first $10 purchase. When we showed the flyer, the employee told us we needed to create a rewards account -- which isn't a big deal it takes 5 minutes max to sign up -- but then insisted we not sign up right then and there, as if she didn't want to wait, even though the restaurant was completely empty. She also told us the reward would take days to show up. We went ahead and paid, but while sitting down I finished signing up anyway... and surprise: the reward appeared immediately at checkout. Meaning we could've used it right then, despite being told otherwise. I don't need the free burger, but the misinformation and weird marketing tactic felt shady. If you're going to advertise a promo, it should be clear and honest. Great food, but not a great first impression in terms of transparency. And honestly, I might have expected this kind of rushed, dismissive behavior if the restaurant had been packed -- but it was completely empty. That should've been the perfect opportunity to give good service, create a lasting returning customer, and not cut corners. I would've happily come back after trying the food itself. But after this experience, I can't see myself returning unless the situation is acknowledged and fixed -- because great food doesn't matter if the customer can't trust the business. read more

Based on some yelp reviews I was expecting a gas station stop. It was not, it's a nice seated location, with a slight retro vibe. I got all three milkshake types, all really good but different from each other. I think the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one was the best in flavor. Fried pickles were alright, it was thickly battered so I feel as though there wasn't enough 'pickly' flavor. The fries were standard, nothing to complain about. The chicken BLT, however, was very very good. The chicken itself is very juicy and flavorful. All the ingredients worked well together to make a great sandwich. Will be coming back. read more

I know the idea is for this to be a similar burger joint that we had in the 50s and 60s but I lived through the 50s and 60s but it's not nearly the same. The burger was OK but nicely put together. Onion rings we're barely equal to others. Quite pricey for the experience to leave feeling unsatisfied. Very nice staff and owner or manager, but overall not worth the effort. I want to emphasize no one did anything wrong, it's just for me, what I received was not worth what I put out. And that's subjective, I understand. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I didn't appreciate being stared at by the tall, bald man as if I was invading his area from when I walked in to when I left. We ordered and waited for our food... I was starving and immediately got to picking up the burger and the plates got pulled and my husband pulled a fry out before they took them away because they belonged to another table. They took the plates and set them down to give them to the other table and I don't know if they thought they were gonna accept it but they were sent into the kitchen to make another fresh plates by the table... so disgusting. I went to this restaurant because they allow pets, only on the patio, and you have to order inside without your pet. I had the chili cheese tots. It's a cheese sauce, not cheese, which was very disappointing considering the price. The chili didn't have much meat, but it did have tomatoes and onions that were visible but it tasted very bland. Like the chili didn't have any chili in it. My sister had the bacon cheeseburger and it was OK, but she said, (again, considering the price) the burgers were small. What an awesome burger! We both had the Southwest Burger with Chili Cheese Fries. We eat out, a lot, and this beats them all! Seriously! It's juicy, has tons of flavor and the tots were hot, crispy and had just the exact amount of cheese & chili. We wanted to try their Pistachio shake but we couldn't eat another bite. Or drink! 2 stars may seem harsh however I feel that is needed to get the dissatisfaction I felt across. Employees and services 5 star easily kind people spoken to clearly. Pickles and onion rings were not offensive in the slightest pickles higher dill taste than most I enjoyed it. However the burger is where it all fell apart for the restaurant for me and sadly will not be back unless they change their supplier of bread or unless I bring my own buns. It was very disappointing having my bread bun disintegrated in front of me as I'm holding it, I'd rather have gotten a lettuce wrap then the paper mache of the bun that it came with. But give credit where credit is due the meat and cheese pretty good not to shabby, the bacon was a little flimsy and small but not terrible. But none of that matters when your bun is falling apart in front of you and cannot be held onto whilst eating. read more

The girl (Tiffany) who answered the phone said that she couldn't do anything about it because she said she doesn't have a power to do anything with my order she said that she can't give me a refund or replace the sandwich etc etc coz her manager is not around and went somewhere and will be back and will give me a call for my complaint. First of all I didn't call them to ask for a refund or for them to replace my burger, I called them to let them know that I didn't get my order right. Anyways, it's not worth it to drive back for 10 mins. Wish I had negative stars, I have visited this location on Clyde Morris several times, each time either an employee in the front or in the kitchen is sick, heard a manager telling a employee that it didn't matter they were sick, they had to work they didn't give enough notice to call in. I will not go back, a sick employee shouldn't be handling food or cooking it. This place really needs a visit from the health department. read more
