Finally tried this place, and I'm mixed. It was clean and the staff friendly, but there was a wait despite no customers. But my main bone of contention is the pricing. My wife and I both got a burger, fries and a milkshake and it cost $40! Rather exorbitant pricing for food who's quality is on par with Wendy's. Beware of a la carte charges. There are no "meals". Decent, not great, not worth what they charge, especially the fries, they were terrible. Culver's is superior in every way. I won't go back to Wayback. Sorry. This place is a complete rip off. A single burger with cheese is $7, fine but you know that going on if you look at the menu. It's not worth $7 (it's about the same as an A&W burger quality and size wise) but again, not a surprise. But I ordered two fries, one large and one regular. The regular is $4 and is about the size of a medium anywhere else. Again, but worth the price but it's clear what you're getting. However the large fry was $6, 50% more, and the exact same size. The cashier tried to show me that they're different sizes by pulling out the containers they use, which are marginally different. So I took them home and weighed them. They were the exact same. I'm sorry to say that I was quite disappointed in the food. My burger (prepared correctly to order) was squished and in desperate need of salt. The fries were soggy and also needed seasoning. I really wanted an olive burger but they're not on the menu. On the positive side, the service was fast and friendly. The order was prepared correctly. Online ordering went very smoothly and it was ready when I picked it up (in fact, it was ready about 10 minutes before I requested it to be). The chocolate malt was outstanding! I will go back for shakes and malts, but probably won't order any food. For almost $14 for a burger, fries, and malt, it was pretty disappointing. read more

I was impressed with the fry on both pieces of protein. They were sizable portions as well. My complaint here is a lack of robust seasoning on either sandwich. The chicken wasn't spicy enough or flavorful enough. The overriding taste on the cod sandwich was tartar sauce (the sauce was punchy), and it needed lemon. Yelp for "some reason" did not recommend my review and took it down after a week. What's the problem Yelp. I decided to try the newly opened space that is the first location in the area. I was let down with the service and the food. The cashier was clueless. She asked numerous coworkers that were standing, doing nothing, at the end of counter about how to ring in our order. All of our food was delivered to our table at different times. I ordered a cheesy burger. The bun was saturated with butter and cold. The fries were sub par, warm at best. My two other companions selections were just as disappointing. They are overpriced and the staff was very incompetent. If you like Steak n Shake or Culvers this is a great alternative. The location is not the best. You can pull in off of Elmwood, into the Goodyear lot,and drive around the building. Seeing that I am from Connecticut, I felt I needed to support a "hometown" franchise. People need to understand this is not a fast food joint and it's similar to Culvers. Their burgers are a bit more gourmet than a Burger King / McDonalds so don't walk in expecting $1.99 burgers! Ordering was quick and easy (esp for someone watching their calories). Didn't take long to have our food brought out at all. My husband got a single burger, I got a chicken sandwich and we split small fries. Fries were tasty! Just the right amount of salt and not over cooked. Chicken sandwich was really flavorful, picked up a lot of essence from the grill and fresh veggies. I don't think we will be making a trip back here anytime soon. Not what we had expected. We both feel like we have a coat of grease on us. The location is hard to get into and out of to start with. The flow to order your food seems backwards and slow. Maybe they had the "B" team working. The burger wasn't all that bad but the fries were very greasy. We also got a cod basket and it was over cooked and soaked with grease. Broke a plastic fork cutting it. The price was higher than expected. $20 for two meals and only one had a drink. I was very disappointed, I ordered at single cheeseburger combo upgrading to onion rings and a chocolate shake, I was charged $3.99 for the burger, $4.49 to upgrade to a combo with the O rings, then another $2.99 to upgrade to the shake my total lunch bill came to $12.16. I received a bland burger, the onion rings were over cooked and I received a jr. shake, (which is only about 5 or 6 oz). NOT WORTH IT, I could have gone and got a steak at applebee's for less. When I asked the management, I was told I was given the wrong size shake, and that the combo included a soda ($1.99), (, (I received no soda and the upcharge for the shake was $2.99) If I would have ordered a regular shake by itself it's $4.69. the manager made no offer to rectify the mistake. read more
