Wayback Burgers in Lansing is hands down the best burger spot around! The cookie butter shake was out of this world, tasting almost like scooping cookie butter straight from the jar. The fries were fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted, and the onion rings had an insane level of flavor--each bite was better than the last. The real star, though, was the classic burger. The meat was cooked to absolute perfection, juicy and flavorful. I loved being able to see the staff pull out a fresh piece of beef and lay it on the griddle. You can truthfully taste how fresh everything is. The staff was incredibly kind, giving us time to review the menu and patiently answering all our questions. Plus, the facility was spotless--clean and well-maintained. This will definitely be the only burger spot in Lansing getting my business from now on! read more

I went there 2 times in recent time and I had a worker named Andreas and Jordan and they were amazing quick and my food came hot with my shake being very good. They are great workers and I loved this restaurant a lot this made my day both times and I will be returning to this restaurant (the shake and burger were the best things I've tasted in a while). The service was very good with them being quick within 10 minutes I got my food both times. I didn't catch the person who took my order but they were very polite and friendly they helped me decide what I wanted and that made the experience 10x better. MUCH RECOMMEND!! read more

Right when you walk in it's like you're blasted from a hit from the past, the old diner vibes really pop and the fact you can see everyone make your food is just so nice. The dude taking my order answered any and all questions with precision and speed, a little on the pricey side but if your coming in for a date or with a group of friends the experience really pays for itself. I won't be back. Ordered combo of cheeseburger, onion rings and shake for $15. Got 7 to 9 rings and just a burger. Counter staff seemed pissed I interrupted the day and had to ask several times to repeat their questions to me because she was going through her script as fast as possible. There were no crumbs leftover. The fries? Crunchy and salty in all the right ways, the burgers? Savory and flavorful to the last bite. The building looks unnoticeable from the outside, but the place looks cozy and inviting once you're inside. The service was fast and friendly. We will be coming here again very soon. First time I tried it I ordered online, it's very easy, when I went to pick it up the food was already ready so I didn't have to wait, saved me some time.
