It was Sunday and we went for a late meal at 1pm. Lucky we were to get a table as groups of 5 and 7 people followed us inside. Menu was breakfast and lunch. Bloody Mary specials were on for $6 each. And they were spicy and very good. Wife had a meatball parm hero ($13) which was about six bigger-than-golf-ball sized meatballs on soft hoogie rolls, sauced with marinara. It came with a choice of sides and she opted for a side salad with ranch dressing. She ate it all and I just loved the authentic tasting ranch dressing. I ordered their Italian Omlette ($14) and it was at least a three-egger stuffed with mozzarella cheese, prosciutto and Italian sausage. It was soooo good. Sides were offered and I went with those stupid fried potato cubes, which I did not eat. The owner would avoid having to throw out those oil balls by serving hash browns. Just my opinion. Other sides were available. When we were ready to leave there were, really!, not any employees around. I got up and went to the bar and the bartender ran the credit card and we were off. I cannot imagine why the hostess and all the servers were absent. Queen's South has promise. Good pizzas and other foods that are well done. Please give these guys a visit.

I honestly won't get pizza anywhere else in Waxhaw because this place has the best pizza around. A special shoutout to Mel. She is the absolute best bartender! She's friendly, remembers people, makes great drinks, and is a big part of why we keep coming back. If you're looking for a place with great food, great drinks, and great people, this is it. I love absolutely every deal they offer. The BOGO burger, the cent wings and the kids eat free brunch. This place is amazing!!

Nice, varied menu with conventional items, like hamburgers and egg omelettes along with Mexican staples, like burritos and quesadillas and limited BBQ items. Also a kid menu, so this is a family place to eat. Wife had steak street tacos ($13). Nicely served on a metal curved plate with each taco separate from the others. I tasted one and the meat was rather flavorless. Looked good, but was not, to our taste, good. I ordered the brisket sandwich and asked for it to be "lean". BBQ usually is served with the fat and I want to limit my fat intake. The sandwich ($16.50) came on a soft bun heaped with pieces of sliced meat. Very dry and absolutely no fat. A mixed blessing as it was, like the steak taco meat, dry and not much flavor. The service is great and management is fully focused on what is going on in the restaurant. Our server was Marconi M. who was also on the cash register at times. Very attentive. It is wonderful to have a restaurant in Van Wyck and we will be back to sample some more. Please give it a try.

Having driven by many times, it caught my attention from a Yelp review. And I am so happy I found it. Order at the counter from a single page menu, take a seat, and watch 'em work the grill and fryers preparing your meal. Easy, peasy. And so good, too. I've been here twice ordering a dog and tater tots on my first visit, and a cheeseburger and potato salad on the second. Both were excellent and I'll be back for another round. Being a tiny, family owned business they rely on frozen items from their vendors for certain items (fries, tots, tenders). Who doesn't really? They're not competing against Bobby Flay or Shake Shack, so I give 'em a pass. In town and need nourishment? Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter drolling for another cheeseburger and fries. Go here.

It can get quite busy and loud, so it's not the best place for an intimate conversation, and reservations can sometimes be difficult to get. That said, it's absolutely worth it. The menu changes regularly, so I try to visit whenever they announce a new one. Yesterday, we shared several small plates. The bacon-wrapped dates were phenomenal. I almost ordered a second serving before realizing we still had four other dishes coming! The chicken and waffles definitely satisfied my craving--crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The mushroom ravioli was also outstanding. We finished with the stuffed calamari, which reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was younger. It wasn't Asian-inspired like hers, but the concept brought back some wonderful memories. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious dessert while feeling pleasantly tipsy from the evening. I'd call that a win!
