Rib ehe, mashed potatoes, onion rings, lobster tail with dipping butter.
    Maria V.

Came here on a Saturday night, had the salad, lobster bisque, rib eye (medium), onion rings, mashed potatoes, and crab cake. The salad was really good, sweet and light yet flavorful. Lobster bisque was good but a little salty for me. For the rib eye we ordered medium, but it came out rare so we had to send it back to cook some more. It was much better the second time. Lobster tail had a really strong smell like Ammonia, I couldn't get over the smell so I sent it back. Onion rings were good, it didn't have too much batter which we liked. Mashed potatoes were alright, I don't think they added anything much into it just potatoes and water. Crab cake had a lot of crab meat in it but was a little bit too salty. The crab cake and the second order of onion rings were complimentary to make up for the lobster tail, which was very nice of our waiter.

First time and last time!!! Went here for are Anniversary dinner. First thing the bread that they severed was stale. The second thing I ordered a French onion soup it literally tased like mop water not even joking I wish I was. Then to top it off the porterhouse steak for two was the worst steak I ever had in my life by far. The sides forget about it. We didn't even eat anything but the salad. Inedible!!! I payed for it anyway and took the steak home to my dogs. But I must say the service was good and very polite.

Definitely great quality/tasting steak I mean, that's what you go for right ? But the apps we weren't to crazy about. There was this complimentary onion ring they served with the steak though that was absolutely bomb, we needed more of them. Other than that, nice chill time and don't forget BYOB. But again, great piece of meat.

Does the steak come with anything or is all salads, sides al carte?

Steaks come with a complimentary salad, fried battered shredded onions and homemade whip cream and strawberries for dessert.

One of those nights my order was delayed and a couple of sides were missing, but they were extremely apologetic and even offered us a discount, which I really appreciated. Tonight, my husband and I decided to have a quick date night and finally dine in. I honestly can't remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but they were seasonal, delicious, and beautifully presented. The bread wasn't my favorite, but I'm not taking off any points for that. It's free, and honestly, I'd rather not fill up on bread before the meal anyway. For appetizers, we ordered the cast iron shrimp and the slab bacon. The shrimp was so good. My husband thought it was a little salty, but I thought it was just really well seasoned. I'd honestly go back just for that dish. The bacon was good, but it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I personally like my food piping hot, so that's just a preference. The star of the night was the Cowboy Prime steak. It was absolutely delicious, great seasoning, a perfect sear, and full of flavor. The temperature wasn't exactly what we ordered, but it was still an incredible steak. It came with vegetables, and even as someone who isn't a big fan of veggies, I really enjoyed them!! For sides, we had the hand-cut fries and a side of the corn risotto. If we had one complaint about the meal, it would be the risotto. It was overcooked and tasted like a basic risotto with corn kernels mixed in. It just wasn't what we expected. Thankfully, the steak was so good that it completely made up for that disappointment. We skipped dessert because we were both completely full, but we'll definitely be back. I also wanted to mention that the service was a little slow at the beginning. Once our server got to us, though, she was friendly, attentive, and took great care of us. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to coming back.

The Capital Grille (Parsippany, NJ) - A Deficit-Healing, High-End Haven…read more After a brutal afternoon at the Wind Creek Casino tables in Bethlehem where the cards refused to cooperate, my girlfriend and I fled east, ditching our original steakhouse reservations for a local gamble: The Capital Grille in Parsippany. Arriving around 5:00 PM, I was acutely aware that my attire screamed "gambling casualty" rather than "fine dining enthusiast." Mercifully, the staff showed elite restraint, ignoring my casual wardrobe with absolute grace. The hostess greeted us warmly, guiding us into an upscale, immaculate dining room. Looking around, you could see the floor staff moving with the quiet, focused intensity of an orchestra tuning up for the Saturday night rush. Our server, Carl, was an absolute professional. He navigated the menu with the kind of photographic memory that makes you wonder if he moonlights as a memory champion. We kicked off with appetizers: a rich, comforting clam chowder for her and the glazed thick-cut bacon for me. Both were exceptional. For the main event, I ordered the 22oz bone-in ribeye with porcini rub. It was prepared to absolute perfection, hitting that elusive, beautifully seared sweet spot right between rare and medium-rare (a precise temperature the culinary world calls Pittsburgh rare, or simply a perfect Kona sear). It easily tracks as one of the top three steaks I have ever had in the area. Because my girlfriend doesn't eat meat, she pivoted to a spread of sides, ordering the creamed spinach and the Sam's mashed potatoes (a decadent potato casserole). While the presentation was flawless, the flavor profiles didn't quite sweep her off her feet--a minor blemish on an otherwise stellar culinary run. The ambiance is fantastic, though you might want to pack a light jacket, as the indoor climate control was set to "meat locker. Yes, the bill requires deep pockets, but fine dining is a realm where you truly get what you pay for. The house always wins at the casino, but The Capital Grille felt like a massive victory. We will absolutely be back.

The graduation ran late, but thankfully they were able to accommodate our reservation. From the moment we walked in, it felt special. The statues were commanding attention, the wines arranged so eloquently, the hosts dressed impeccably all indicated this meal would be memorable. We gave our name and they asked us to wait, when we arrive at the table, there was graduation confetti at the table and they gave my husband a congratulatory card. They provided 5 glasses of prosecco to toast my husband which was such a nice gesture! The drinks were perfection! I had one of the best cosmos I've ever had. It was strong but so very tasty and worth the $18 price. My hubby had a rye/bourbon drink with bitters that was smooth and very enjoyable. My friend had 2! My daughter's espresso martini again, just so delish The calamari with banana peppers were crunchy and perfectly prepared. My daughter isn't a meat eater so she got chopped salad and the biggest crock of French onion soup I've ever seen. The soup had a hint of sherry and the onions were perfectly caramelized. The cheese was not gooey or clumpy which is all you want from French onion. I got the sliced fillet with fig essence. I ordered medium which was a bit pink in the center for me but the server did mention in before I ordered. I wanted to see the difference when you order in a true steak house. I'd order medium well next time for me. My daughter got the 10 oz fillet which was cooked to perfection. She also ordered mashed potatoes and cream spinach for the table to share. All good! My husband's steak was exactly what he wanted and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Our friend is a vegan, but he enjoyed coming out with us, ordered a salad and burrata. (We ate the cheese) We were too full for dessert but they brought a platter with a mini cheese cake and chocolate cake on a platter that said congratulations to celebrate him. The service was excellent! We had so many people that blended into the background but at the same time were super nice, friendly and professional. The artwork on the walls was nostalgic and made us feel welcome and happy.

The service was prompt and the server answered all of our questions about the menu. The bread was soft little salty rolls. Some of our party split the tomahawk which was massive, cooked to perfection, and very juicy. I got the lamb chops which were superb and so meaty. The polenta/broccoli rabe didn't really add much. For sides, the creamed spinach was more cheesy than creamy, but if you like cheese, it works. The parmesan truffle fries were likewise very cheesy and a great blend of salty and crunchy. The mac n cheese was good, but the lobster pieces were smallish. We did go overboard with the cheese sides, but they went so well with the main dishes. Dessert seemed like a must. We shared the apple cider donut bread pudding, which was very unique and blended the cold ice cream with the hot apple, dense pudding. I have to say, the atmosphere and the speakeasy were probably my favorite parts of the entire experience. They were unique and definitely worth seeing. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill once we were seated. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. No one greeted us, offered water, or brought bread, so we finally had to ask another staff member ourselves. When the bread arrived, it was cold with a sprinkle of salt on top. Normally I wouldn't mind, but after waiting so long, it was disappointing. My boyfriend asked if it was supposed to be served warm, and the waiter said yes and offered to bring us fresh bread. That replacement bread didn't arrive until we had already finished our meal, packed our leftovers, and were ready to leave. They ended up putting the rolls in our to-go bag. Our waitress eventually came over and asked if we'd like drinks or appetizers. We placed our appetizer order, and only afterward did she mention the appetizer specials. We were seated near the bar and could clearly see our drinks being prepared. Our first cocktails sat at the bar for around 10 minutes before they were brought to us. Later we ordered a pitcher of sangria, and we watched it sit there for another 10-15 minutes. Throughout the meal, our waitress rarely checked on us. We had to ask bussers and even another waitress several times for water refills, and we eventually asked another server to bring us the sangria because we had already finished our cocktails. The service made us feel overlooked. For dinner, we ordered the porterhouse for two with mushrooms and a Caesar salad. The steak arrived well-cooked, but our sides didn't come out until much later, so we ended up eating about half of the steak before the mushrooms and salad arrived. The steak itself was cooked nicely, but it lacked seasoning in our opinion. We found ourselves adding salt and pepper and enjoyed it much more with the chimichurri sauce we ordered. Overall, this was my birthday dinner, and I could tell my boyfriend felt bad because he had been looking forward to bringing me here. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but the service and hospitality fell well below expectations. While the ambiance was beautiful and the speakeasy was a highlight, the inattentive service overshadowed the experience. Maybe we caught them on an off night, and I might consider giving Rails another chance someday. However, after driving nearly an hour, I left disappointed and don't feel the overall experience justified the trip.
