Heard a lot of great things about this place from friends. Grilled chicken Caesar wrap was not good. Way too much salad dressing. Didn't taste homemade. More like from a bottle. More Like an Italian dressing rather than Caesar. Hummus was bland and not very flavorful. Pita seemed like it wasn't fresh, very dry. My husband liked his gyro. So if you go, get that. Maybe I should have tried a burger instead. read more

My husband is a Waynesboro native and I have been to Waynesboro countless times in the past 7 years. I think we've come to Waynesburger every visit since it opened. The restaurant is charming and the employees are always kind and helpful. Most of all, we enjoy the food! The burgers are tasty without being greasy and the fries are delicious. My husband loves the gyros, too. Though I am not a milkshake drinker, they have lots of flavors to choose from. It's worth the trip! read more

Decent local hamburger joint. There is a good variety of choices on food. Hamburgers to gyro to falafels and many choices in between. The staff is prompt to take your order and repeat it back for accuracy. Usual the owner can be seen either working there front counter or at the grill cooking. I do recommend the gyro and falafels. The gyro is a beef and lamb mixture therefore you are getting there strong gamy taster that lamb can have. There falafel is cooked to have a crisp brown coating, but not burnt. My husband, father-in-law, and I stopped for some milkshakes on a few nights ago. First time ever being here. The staff were very nice and accommodating- I also really enjoyed my chocolate mint milkshake. There are 51 flavors to choose from! I see this place has alot of good reviews but I would have to say I don't see it. I got a Waynesburger and a chilly dog had could not finish either one. It was all a little soft and mushy and apparently they have a seasoning that that use that I didn't care for. I will say the fries were good. Love the updates to this corner restaurant. Great feel inside, love the building and glad they are working it a bit. Order at the counter and they'll bring it out. Not fast-food experience which is GREAT. My husband and I really love a good GYRO (however YOU pronounce it) and this place has one!! Delicious and priced right. Friendly, fast and helpful staff. Although there is little to no parking with just a few spaces out back and then metered street parking this diner draws the crowd. Very nice, great hot food, fast service and priced right! Really nice menu. Build your own burgers and boardwalk style fries WITH vinegar! Reubens, salads, HUMMUS and babaganoush, imagine Arabic food in Waynesboro. My wife and I went in for Sunday lunch based on some positive reviews that we had read; apparently we did not read far enough. The service is walk-up counter style. The counter clerk was pleasant enough and took our order quickly. My wife ordered the Gyro and I ordered the signature "Waynesburger." I asked the clerk if I could order mine medium rare and she indicated that was fine. We shared one order of fries, well done and also asked for 2 chocolate milk shakes (51 varieties are offered). The sandwiches and fries came out in about 3-4 minutes. Either the clerk miscommunicated my order or the cooks don't discern b/ween med rare and med well. For a place that features burgers as their specialty, this was a sad affair. A small patty on a sesame seed bun w/ their sig sauce that tasted like Burger KIng's, a sliver of onion and two pieces of tasteless tomato and melted American Cheese. The burger had very little seasoning and I found out where the salt went: The fries tasted like they had been dredged in the Dead Sea after frying. My wife's gyro at least had some flavor, but the lettuce was wilted, the tzatziki sauce was bland and there was no onion to speak of with it. And those chocolate shakes. I checked back at the counter twice and was told they would be out shortly. They finally came about 7-8 minutes after we got our food. For a place that advertises 51 different shakes, their chocolate one needs help. They were both thin in consistency and noticeably absent in chocolate flavor. Now if they had been busy, I certainly would have understood the delay for the shakes or the mis-prepared food. But there were 3 or 4 parties in the restaurant when we arrived and probably 3 or 4 that came in after we did, none of them large parties. This experience was disappointing on so many levels for us that I give it grudgingly one star. read more

The sign says "Famous since 2009" ... and my first visit here proves they're not just trash-talking. We took the back way to Whitetail, and when we passed by this place first thing in the AM, we decided to blow off the $20-two-coffees-and-two-cookies ski lodge ripoff, and just save our appetites for a stop into Waynesburger on the way home. We are glad we waited. I was expecting a Five Guys like set up ... and they certainly had custom-built burgers and boardwalk style fries. But they had a whole bunch more - like gyros, reubens, salads, hummus and babaganoush even. I had the eponymous Waynesburger - a burger patty with some sort of Greek herb mixture in the meat. My son had the Greek salad. Both were really pretty good. Family friendly - order at the counter and they'll bring it out. But defiinitely not fast-food-ish; feels far more like a real restaurant. Not going to lie this place will never top five guys for me. But it is a pretty close second and it is less than 10 mins from me. So I'll most likely be stopping in here more frequently. I've only had the burgers and fries on my two separate visits to this place. Both times food was good and I didn't wait too long for it. Prices I felt were good for what was offered. The inside of the place was pretty cool and I like the big open space for a restaurant. Nothing worse than being crammed in and hard to walk around tables. I'm interested in there milkshakes, maybe next time I'll get one and update my review. Went back recently and got a milkshake. Yea they are worth it. Nothing to be excited about. A bit over priced, food potions are small. I had the popular gyro that was very uneventful and a bit salty. My husband had the raspberry shake. They charged $5 for standard ice cream and flavoring. Their cheeseburgers are over priced and bland. The place is clean and the cashier was doing his job. very cool old building in downtown Waynesboro, they have some interesting menu items, have to come back and try again. Order a fry between my daughter and I so we split them. The trays are different as the food comes on cake pans or Cooke trays not sure what the correct term is. I would return and try another menu item, lot of options. read more
