I am updating my review of We Can Do It Plumbing. I originally contacted Carbo for a small job. A great job was done. I decided to have my home completely re-piped. It was a big ass job. Carbo rocked it. There was only one place where it was necessary to break into the wall in my living space. Carbo brought a guy to fix the wall/ceiling. When doing the re-pipe Carbo thought there might need to be some tiles redone around the faucets in the shower and the upstairs bathtub. However Carbo was able to cut the tiles out and put the tiles back without any additional work. The upstairs bathroom cabinet was replaced but the original sink part of the cabinet was retained. It looks great. Carbo even painted the doors of the new cabinet to match the rest of the bathroom. Now my house has all copper pipes and a new water heater. It's been over a year since this work was done and I have had zero problems. Highly recommend! As I said before, A+++ read more

I had a pretty complex piping job that needed to be done, prior to having my Moen Flo properly installed. I called and consulted with a few plumbers, but I knew pretty immediately, after my initial phone call and follow-up in-person assessment with Carbo, that I wanted them to do the job! From the get-go, they were thorough, patient, knowledgeable, super personable, and creative in considering ways to approach the project. I have hired them for dozens of projects. I'm a property manager in the East Bay and SF and they've helped us renovate kitchens and bathrooms, replace water heaters, check house water supply, remove unused gas supply (safely). Small jobs like replace a faucet or valve; big jobs like re-piping stuff behind the walls. Always tidy, friendly, and good at explaining the current project as well as pointing out opportunities to improve plumbing to prevent future problems. I typically don't call them for major emergencies, but I can usually get them out in a couple days for less urgent drips or new installations. We mostly text or call. Highly recommended. read more

Carbo was great. Efficient and a good communicator. We had a handful of plumbing issues that Carbo knocked out in a day of work. We had an annoying water hammer, some flow issues, some noisy pipes, and our garbage disposal was stinky. They listened carefully to our concerns and walked the whole house with us to understand the issues. They were upfront about what the work would look like and how much it would cost. Submitting another review for We Can Do It Plumbing and Carbo because I've used their services for THREE more jobs since my first review about a month ago. Two of these jobs were planned (installing a washer-dryer unit in our in-law unit and snaking our bathroom sink) and one was unplanned (found a significant leak in one of our sewer pipes) and had to get it fixed ASAP. With this review I'll talk mostly about the third, unplanned job. Carbo was able to come out, diagnose the problem, and fix the issue all in a very timely manner. (I'm glad I had already worked with Carbo and knew who to call when we discovered the issue). We ended up having to replace a decent amount of that sewer pipe (going from below our main bathroom toilet, into our crawlspace, and back out the side of our house) with new ABS pipe. I was particularly impressed with how Carbo was able to maneuver and get the job done because most of the area in question was in our crawlspace and other hard-to-reach areas. I always thought our crawlspace was gnarly but Carbo informed me they've seen much worse. Throughout, Carbo was very communicative about the whole process and also very non-intrusive on our house as we went on with our day. Our dog has become very good friends with Carbo! Carbo even followed up to make sure the job was stable and that there were no additional issues. My bathtub faucet was both leaky and the hot was almost impossible to turn off. Carbo was excellent: quick to schedule, prompt, clear and explained things well. They also found a more serious problem (stripped threads inside the pipes) that would have been MAJOR EXPENSE had it gone on much longer. They cut the wall and replaced all the piping and fixtures in a jiffy. I am happy to take baths again and cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

Lauren "Carbo" Carbonell came to my rescue on relatively short notice when my SF Mission apartment Edwardian toilet from 1982 decided to leak, overflow, and begin quickly and then slowly flooding my apartment. Lauren helped me get the water valve off and address the emergency. Then, in the next 48 hours after figuring out what was necessary to replace the toilet, came over, COVID safe (N95) and replaced my toilet with something cost effective and water efficient. Lauren explained everything in detail and fixed the toilet and sealed it within a number of hours while I was out and about. Lauren worked with my schedule and even coordinated with my landlord for payment. After all that, my water heater was leaking, and I knew just the plumber for the job. Prompt, professional, and highly knowledgeable Lauren was exceptional. What impressed me most about Lauren's work was how prompt and professional they were without charging me an arm and a leg.
