I came in for a non-insurance repair after my parked car was involved in a hit-and-run, and unfortunately, the person responsible was never found. I wanted to do a matte black color. There was much inconsistency with the paint. Also, I'll be frank. It seems like we were both not educated enough with the matte black. Alright, no problem. So we wanted to right the ship. I asked them to do what they're good at and I picked the color I wanted. At first the paint looked good. I did have some concern with how it looked in terms of texture. Painter advised to allow it to settle before grabbing a wash, which I did. I hired a detailer to get it cleaned. And I mean cut, polish, etc... He goes to work on the orange peel in the area I have photographed in the area circled red and the color starts to fade off to a grayish color. It really appears they just painted over the previous job and didn't strip the matte off at all. It is what it is. They also got paint on the new wheels I purchased for this vehicle which sucks. It's clear they didn't tape off areas that should've been and/or take parts out necessary to do a decent job. Got to a point where I really didn't want to deal with this company or their staff. Wasted time a money. Not to mention, the "fix" I even paid for. With more pressing things in life. I can't get the vehicle redone the correct way. Definitely won't come here to get it done or "corrected."
