Typically one in my situation would be stressed with such a high ticket, but Andreas literally was the most amazing person to work with. We all have fears about mechanics and seeming lack of honesty. Well, I was coming home from Flagstaff and blew the engine on my 2003 Sable. After getting it home and calling around I found that UFIXIT offered the best installed cost on the lowest mileage engine that I could find in the valley. Seemed to good to be true, but money is tight, so I took a chance and went to meet Andreas. He struck me as honest and just looking to provide a great service at a fair cost. I had him go ahead and do the work. During the process he called and told me that my power steering pump appeared to be bad and quoted me what seemed to be a reasonable price to replace it while he was doing the rest of the work. It took about a week to complete, including the delivery of the engine. I went in and paid exactly what he had quoted. Drove off and the car was running great. About 10 mins later my phone rang. It was Andreas telling me that he owed me some money. That after getting the car apart, they found that the pulley was slightly bent and the power steering pump was fine. He told me that they hadn't replace it, but had forgotten to remove it from the invoice. I went back the next day and he handed me the money. I was stunned. There was absolutely no way for me to know he hadn't done the additional work. I have recommended UFIXIT several times since then and have additional work done on my cars. I have yet to be disappointed and will continue sending friends and family their way. read more

We moved to Phoenix recently and were looking for a mechanic. I brought my primary car to the shop the first time. My wife then brought her car into the shop with an indicator light on for the tire pressure. The shop found the problem, explained it, and fixed it without charging her anything. Even though I had brought my primary car in once already, we did not tell them that we had a second car in the family yet. That the shop was willing to do a simple fix even before knowing that we were actually repeat customers says a lot. (For the autophiles, we moved our car from Seattle to Phoenix. 100% DO NOT recommend this place. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt until today when I went to go pick up my car. They seemed to get my car in and out quickly however the reason appears to be because they have no business which isn't surprising considering they're AWFUL. First off they don't do any sort of payment plan so you have to pay it in full to get your car back.. but don't wait too long because there is a $100 "lot fee" per day for your car to sit in their dumb empty lot over night. Today I went to go pay for my car and they wouldn't accept my check.. he says "oh we don't take those" You don't take checks??? Grocery stores take checks! Then I was going to give him my cc # and he said he can't take down the number of the card without the card being present. Fantastic. So now I have to find a way to get to north Phoenix, without a car, to get a form of payment BEFORE 6 otherwise I have to pay a lot fee. I paid a little over $2,300 for a new radiator and new ac compressor and have several friends/family members claiming that it's overpriced and they ripped me off. Personally I don't know much about cars or prices and I was in a desperate time crunch so whether or not it is fairly a true deal (I'm guessing not) I don't know. My boyfriend and I both took our cars here for repair after reviewing the options in the area. We assumed this place would be the cheapest. WRONG. They charge more than the dealership, and have failed multiple times to properly solve the issues with both of our vehicles. I'm supremely disappointed with the services. In addition to failing to fix my vehicles, they provided me a loaner (after having my car for three days, which was 11 years old, had the engine light on, and 127,000 miles on it. My car has a third of the miles and years on it. Completely unacceptable. They didn't fix a thing and charged me $40 for "time spent trying to fix it". How about reimbursing me for all of the Uber's I had to take to get to work? Go anywhere else, trust me. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Brought my car in for the $30 A/C check-up coupon. They ended up charging $212 to "remove" freon from my car. Immediately after pick up, the car got super loud. Just brought it back and Joe told me they had to add freon (direct contradiction). They took no responsibility for the noise, but DID suggest that I replace the following: 2 A/C fans ($1,400), adjust alignment, replace cabin air filter, A/C evaporator cleaning, engine oil restoration/conditioner, transmission fluid exchange, tire rotation, pressure wash and also told me.... that (even though I just did all of those things with the manufacturer 5 months ago at its 30K service) that the manufacturer only serves itself and does not represent the truth. Basically I paid $212 to lose service of my car for 2 days and not only was the A/C not fixed, but I now have a whole new set of loud issues to deal with. I took it to the manufacturer and I would never trust these people ever again, because my car is now inoperable and they tried to gauge me for a laundry list of problems I did not ask them to look into. read more

One of the worst experiences at a mechanics in my life. They lied about several leaks on my car and tried to charge me an extra 500 dollars for a hose that wasn't even damaged. They also lied to me when I asked to see my car, they said it was on the lift already. I looked outside and they were just putting it up. Shady all around and when my friend asked for an estimate the receptionist said they wouldn't serve him because he was being rude. I've waited about 10 days to write this review just so I could drive my van for a while to make sure the squirrels didn't escape from their cage again. First, the Bill, the thing most people are concerned about the most. Andreas and his staff looked my vehicle over completely as I asked so I'd know all the bad news. I knew it would need more work than the initial problem I called him about. It was as i suspected and then some. Andreas gave me the bad news of $2800 to fix everything I needed fixing. He went down the list, what needed fixing now, what could wait and what could wait but shouldn't wait for too much longer. I took a chance and told him to fix it all. Just to let you know, my van needed so much work it took 2 pages to list all the work that was done. Am I happy after ten days? Well, first of all Andreas's wife picked me up at home to take me to the shop to pick up my van. Can't beat that for what I consider a bit of extra service. I lost my cell phone in her car so she had to listen to my phone going off in her car all weekend and didn't even charge me for being my answering service. And by the way, apparently they could get all the parts in town because they did ALL the work to my van in ONE day! I paid my bill and immediately drove to the 101 freeway and test drove it at up to 70MPH. Yes, I'm the guy driving 70-75mph on the 101, but I wasn't texting or calling work at the same time. Then I got back on the streets and drove from the freeway to Central and back( about 24 miles round trip). My van drives like it did when it was new, I was smilin all the way. Ten days have past. On an average I drive at least 50 miles day, most of that on the 101. My van runs great and even my gas milage is up almost 5 miles a gallon. So I have to say it looks like I got first rate repair done by Andreas and his staff. Let's talk service. Although I'm listing this last, to me this is as important as doing a professional job and doing it well.I'm an old timer that remembers when the service you provide is the same as your word and if your word was no good neither were you. Mechanics, politicians, lawyers buried to their necks in sand...what do you have...not enough sand. Needless to say if I see Andreas at the beach he's safe from me. It's been a long time since I've had such good service. From dropping off my van and explaining to Andreas what I needed and his taking the time to ask me several questions about what I thought was wrong with the van and giving me his feedback. Calling me before he started work to tell me his opinion of what all needed to be done. The great way my van drives after his repairs. His wife picking me up to get my van back. Both of their great attitudes toward me as a customer and willingness to explain to me in detail the repairs to be made. This is by far the best service so far I've gotten from a mechanic shop in 25 years, hands down. I did my homework. In the last 10 days I've checked online and with four shops to shop price of the repairs. The prices I was quoted were from $200 less to $600 more than I was charged. And, none of the shops guaranteed their work for 3 YEARS as Andreas told me he would. Top it off with the discount coupons he'll give you for referrals if you like his service and the Greek honey with peanuts and hazel nuts he'll gift you( both were terrific, he should sell larger jars) how can you lose? :) I'm not a personal friend, not his father-in-law and he doesn't owe me any money. I just got the best service I've received in a very long time. Great Company. I was referred to him by my daughter who has had him as her repair service for almost 2 years and has been completely happy. Andreas even goofed once fixing her car and when she called him he gave her a loaner while he reworked her car and didn't make any excuses, just fixed it right at no charge. Anyone and everyone can make a mistake now and then but their character comes out when they own it, fix it and make it right, and that's exactly what Andreas did with my daughter. This company deserves for you to give them a chance to service your needs and I highly recommend that you give them a try. Took my Taurus 04 in for engine light on due to hesitation and rough idle. They run test and change 6 plugs and wiring, charge me $423.85. Car running better but still little hesitation when accelerating. Engine light on two months later. Took car in again and was told no wrong doing on their part. Took my car to Chapman Ford. Mechanic found plug #1 and ignition coil are bad. How WeFixIt mechanic work on those 6 plugs, I really don't know. Talked to owner and showed him repair receipt from Chapman Ford. Still not admitting their fault and no credit. I' ll never take my car there again read more

We-Fix-It is right up the street from where I live and being new to the area a few years back, I gave them a try after receiving an ad in the mail. Colin was the front desk person at the time and I could write an entire review on him alone. It is unfortunate that he is no longer here. I have had quite a few services done on my car here. Oil changes, brake service, A/C fix, and a window motor replacement. I always get shuttled back to my place while the repairs are happening and they even have a loaner car that has been available most of the times I have come here. Andreas is the owner and he has driven me back and picked me up and so has his wife and one of the mechanics. The most recent repair I had was my window motor replacement (which is acting up again so I need to come in soon). On a Friday night in June, just a couple of days before a very important event on Monday morning that I needed to be able to drive to, I went out to my car and it would not start. When I had opened the door, I heard the window motor that was replaced making a loud noise and the noise continued even when my keys were out of the ignition. I assumed that is what killed my battery. I was stressed and upset and left a voicemail right around midnight knowing that We-Fix-It is closed on the weekends and I would have to figure something out since the soonest they would get back to me is Monday after the event already started. Andreas called me first thing the next morning (Saturday) and personally came to my residence and jump started my car while trying to diagnose the issue. His main focus was me being able to drive to where I needed to be that Monday without any worry. He offered the loaner car and he even offered to drive me to the event himself. I drove my car around for a little while trying to charge up the battery and met Andreas back at We-Fix-It. He tested my battery and since it tested fine and the window motor was no longer making noise, I decided my battery dying was probably a fluke and I would be able to drive my own car to the event without doing anything further. Andreas told me to call him any time if I changed my mind and wanted the loaner car or needed a ride. Monday came and when the event was over, I called Andreas to let him know everything went off without a hitch. I ended up getting my battery replaced and my car has not died since. They upsold for work that could've waited and replaced the work that needed to be done...of course just to make a profit. My car was overheating (great..) so I took it in here because it's down the road from where I live. Overall, I'm really happy! I didn't feel like I was talked down to because I don't know a thing about cars. Michael, the man who told me about what was wrong, estimated it would cost upwards of $1,000 for all of the repairs. This, of course, took my breath away a bit! However, he asked if anything was under warranty and told me that I should check at the place that had fixed my car a couple months ago. Turns out, my water pump IS under warranty elsewhere. This shop could've said nothing and I would've paid the $1,000 without thinking about it! Because Michael was honest and genuinely offering advice, I saved $500. The customer service here is awesome. Lucy, at the front desk, is so friendly. Sometimes it can be intimidating to go into an auto shop but the employees here make it so that is not so. My water pump still needs to be repaired (taking it to the place it's warranted under, obviously) so I haven't driven my car more than .2 miles. But I feel confident in what the mechanics at We Fix It Did. It feels trustworthy! They also gave a little container of honey which I thought was a cute addition. (Long because the details are important) This is the shop I chose on the "Emissions VVRP program list" so that I could pass emissions. Originally set an appt for 11am on Wed 2/19/20. I called to let them know I will not be able to make it by 11am but that I would drop it off that afternoon & they said that was fine no problem, but may get a later start on it which was understandable. I mostly communicated with Joe. We spoke a few times on the phone him saying they are trying to diagnose what the issue is with the engine light being on showing 3 codes. It was evident & confirmed they had spent several hours trying to figure out what the issue was & still nothing diagnosed. Communication with Joe was calm and courteous and I was patient and polite with no complaints even though I was desperately in need of having my car back & diagnosed. My car was there for 2 nights and Friday afternoon they had spent more hours on it until Joe called me to inform me they have still not figured out what the diagnosis is for the 3 codes causing my engine light to be on, & that I can drop it back off Monday morning. Was informed it could take up to 1-5 hours. According to my communication with Joe was well over that. Clearly at least 10 hours I recorded according to communication with Joe they had spent trying to diagnose it Thurs & Fri. He said I have the option to either pick my car up that Fri eve before closing if I need my car for the weekend and I drop it back off early Mon morning, or leave it if not in need of my car. I told him I didn't feel comfortable taking the Uber they offer on that particular day because of some personal disturbing stressful things that were going on. Finally found a ride from a friend & called back & said I will pick my car up before closing. I do recall the lady stating something about "last something at 5:45" as I was rushing to be ready for my ride picking me up? I briefly in a hurry asked her to repeat what she said & then I said... "you close at 6pm and I need to be there before to pick it up correct?" And she said YES. Thinking my ride would get me there in plenty of time before 6 the traffic said differently. I called a few minutes before closing & spoke with Joe saying I am a mile away, I'll be right there! He said 1 mile away? I said yes I will be right there to get my car! We pull up with my friend in his car in the driveway and the gate is closed and locked understandably. It was right at 6 pm and I was in a panic because I desperately HAD to have my car for the weekend. I waved my hand at them in the office to let them know I'm here. Joe came out & said sorry right on the other side of the gate telling me they already closed the register and can't get me my car after all that trouble & complication I went through to get there. I was upset & in a panic because I absolutely HAD to have my car for the weekend. I told him I gave them 2 warnings that I'm on my way! I expressed to him that "I'm sure I may be an inconvenience to him but it has been a REAL inconvenience to me them taking so extremely long just to diagnose my car but yet I DID NOT complain once" I told him. I offered to hand him the $150 cash deposit (VVRP required) right then & there as I looked right there at my car on the other side of the gate by him. I've mostly been in customer service/sales & was a bit shocked that they couldn't compromise whatsoever as I reminded him I couldn't get a ride earlier & already explained to him not feeling comfortable or safe riding in an Uber with the current events I was going through. I was firm & upset saying I HAVE to have my car. I was NOT AT ALL being belligerent or cursing, nor threatening whatsoever! He said let me call the owner. I said ok & he goes in & comes back out with the papers & said ok so here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to give you your paperwork back, I'm not going to charge you the $150 but I'm going to let you go as a customer & said we are not rubbing the right way. I said what? We are not rubbing the right way? I said "you have given good customer service until right now. Now we are not rubbing the right way?" He opens the gate I get into my car & he said " now we don't want you being mad at us." I looked at him puzzled & said you don't want me to be mad at you? I said you just let go of your customer!?? So Joe basically told me after having my car there for 2 nights/2 & a half days that I just wasted my time knowing I had a short deadline! Long story short I got in my friend's vehicle (away from the shop) right by Scottsdale Rd out in the open by Circle K. Was months of needed catch up time w/ my friend sitting chatting in his truck & low & behold after they were all gone from the shop they called a police officer! Police asked me and my friend for ID etc & said I am no longer allowed on the property! Are you kidding me? I have been in customer service/sales most of my life & this is completely unacceptable! I was treated horribly and I didn't deserve that. read more

Andreas drove me to the nearest Starbucks so I could have somewhere to study while they worked on my car. Guy that was helping me said it would be done around 4 and that he'd call me. So I waited, I never got a phone call. I went to the shop around 615, luckily for me there was still a mechanic there. I'm thankful I did. I walked out to my vehicle, and the battery was dead. I went next door, and Dean was super friendly and helpful, and they got me in pretty much immediately. I was there for maybe an hour, tops. Brand new battery, and I was set to go. I'm glad it happened then, because I was set to drive to the Grand Canyon the next morning!
