As a follow up to my original post.....We Honey Do did not look at the hoses to the washer that I asked them to do. They did not fix any drawers and the girl fiddled around with one doorknob finally fixing it after at least an hour of messing with it (to be sure to use up time so they could charge me??) She also messed around with one outlet for a long time too (again...killing time) and finally left a hole in the wall with wires sticking out and told me to have the electrician look at it because she said I had purchased wrong parts. The electrician I had out after said I had not gotten the wrong parts and that person just didn't know what they were doing. If HoneyDo can't do the job they should tell the customer up front and not come out and mess around, killing time so that they can charge for a job not completed. I want to try to be as objective/specific as possible. First let me explain our reason for contacting this company. We found a leak in our kitchen (causing the hardwood floors to buckle), so we called this company to come out and take a look for us. They were very responsive in coming out. Their customer service manager took the time to explain the process of filing an insurance claim and what the potential scenarios would be. There were several follow up visits to find the actual leak, one failed temporary repair and then the leak was fixed. They removed the warped flooring and were stated they would get a hold of our insurance adjuster to get the estimate written. All good so far. The adjuster provided a scope of what he would initially pay for and cut us a check in a super short time frame. Then the wheels fell off... almost zero follow up from their company, my wife and I constantly had to hound them for an update. We tried leaving voicemails, email and texts, which were all slowly followed up on. We point blank asked the customer service manager what we should do with the check, but he never told us what to do. There was a steady stream of excuses and at the 7 week point (post initial removal of flooring) there still hadn't been an estimate written or work scheduled. At that point there was some 'personnel issues' and the owner had to step in to take care of us. Well, that was fruitless. We gave him our initial check, but 3.5 weeks later still nothing had been started. Finally, after 12 weeks (yes... 12 weeks) and no work accomplished or even scheduled, we had to fire them and move on to manage the project ourselves. There was a steady string of excuses for every aspect of their failure to complete the work or provide us updates. I put in more time working on my own insurance claim then my contractor ever did, which in it of itself is pretty sad, being that we were trying to "pay" them. Sadly, I think they are so out of touch with actual customer service that they actual thought all of the excuses were somehow meaningful and actually started getting mad at me for constantly following up and wanting status updates. I wouldn't recommend this company for any work that you want completed timely or with any kind of customer service. My family had a miserable experience with this company and I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone. They know who is writing this review so it is literally impossible that they could even comment on any aspect of this review, unless... wait for it... they will make even more excuses... I won't hold my breath, please don't either. read more

I was in talks to have WeHoneyDo do a rebuild for me this Summer, and the rep they sent out seemed like he didn't want to be there, and the house walk-through to discuss the work was brief and perfunctory. Follow that with some miscommunication about whether they would write up a quote for me, or if they wanted to see the insurance writeup first, plus, some more miscommunications about who was expecting what information and when, and the result is that I ultimately ended up not using them, largely due to an overall sense of malaise and low motivation, even before a contract was signed. read more

The younger male tech they have was able to do what several GE repairmen, a plumber and even another Honey Do tech could not do: trouble shoot our lack of water pressure to our refrigerator down the root cause and diligently complete the necessary repair. I had literally given up on having pressure enough to not stand at the refrigerator for 5 minutes to get a glass of water, purchasing water service from a dispenser but I'm now rethinking that thanks to this young man at Honey Do. He relentlessly and doggedly traced each valve and pipe until he discovered the root cause and I was thoroughly impresssed with the quality of his work and the Honey Do experience. To say they are perfect would not be accurate, in full disclosure. But, as with this experience, they show flashes of brillance. World class professionalism. Worth the shot for household repairs you perhaps might not know how to do, don't have the time for or even just need a man (or woman) to give you a hand. read more

If i could give NO stars I would. I've never dealt with more incompetent people in my life. Not ony did they not do what we agreed, but they made it worse. Simply put, even a simple task of painting was horrible. When all was said and done, I paid them to just make them go away. Sometimes taking responsbility and being accountable....can go a long way. But when I emailed the owner, simply because I felt he should know...all I got was a link to pay the invoice. Tacky. Embarassing. Horrible business. I hired We Honey Do in August 2013 to install some laminate hardwood flooring in my condo in downtown Bellevue. I'm extremely happy and satisfied with the results. Here's what I found great about working with We Honey Do: 1. Very flexible and patient - I took my time deciding the scope of my project and scheduling the work. The project manager was very responsive and helpful while I figured out what I wanted to do. 2. Budget-oriented - Many contractors require that you buy materials through them; We Honey Do let me provide my own flooring (through Lumber Liquidators). 3. Accurate estimating - The project actually came in a little under budget and the final invoice reflected the actual, lower price. 4. Friendly and skilled labor team - On-time start and finish each work day, unobtrusive, helpful, and patient. At the end of the project, I scrutinized the install and noticed some areas I wanted touched up (minor wall damage, slight misalignments, etc). I walked the labor team through each item and they fixed everything perfectly and without complaint. The final install looks beautiful. I have to say, this company has ripped off a friend of mine. Took advantage of the fire that he had in his home. Bid it for a huge amount of money, added line items in the bid to make the amount larger, collected the money and has never been back to finish his house. Owner refuses to come back unless he gets paid a "final payment" at the end. Yet he still has approx. $70,000 worth of work he has not done and has had the money for many months. This is unbelievable! And sadly they have taken advantage of a person in a wheelchair. Can you imagine for 2 years living elsewhere waiting on your home to get completed and trying to get around a place that is not wheelchair friendly for 2 years? All because this contractor took the money and never came back. Oh, he did some of the work but the interior of the home is unlivable. No kitchen cabinets which he bid at $10,000 and already collected this money months ago. No toilets, shower, tub, sinks, casings, flooring, nothing in the kitchen... but he won't come back until he is confirmed a "final payment" hmmmmmmmm I am blown away. Beware people. He will have to answer to God one day on this one. read more

I am very happy that I chose this company to do my work. It seems it is very difficult these days to find a company, involving any type of service, that does a great job and at a fair price. I have used many different kinds of service from painters, carpet cleaners, pressure washers, floor installers, carpet installers, window replacements and so on, in the past few years. The workmanship on all of them was terrible as far as I am concerned. I am very particular and like jobs done well but I don't think my standards are unreasonable. It seems they all make a bid then want to get in and out as fast as possible, pay little attention to detail, half ass the job, get their money and go. To me it is shocking. I point out problems, they make an attempt to make it better but after so many times it us about as useless as they are. This is the first time, in a long time that I am completely happy and impressed with the workmanship, professionalism and overall dealings with the job. We hired WHD to do a bathroom remodel in our home (built in 1941) in late April 2018. THE GOOD: Contractors sent out did a great job with the tear out, re-doing plumbing for the new shower, and install of drywall, tub surround, and all fixtures (we purchased our own fixtures for install, did the paint and floor ourselves and we had all electrical done by a different company of our choice due to knob and tube and box updates). THE BAD: Communication: To us from WHD on project timeline, who to expect out, when and for how long; the project manager and the team (it appeared that not everyone knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing, and what supplies were needed prior to showing up at the job site) and the entirety of the work to be completed (Had to call to have someone come out to install the remainder of the fixtures after the tub surround and drywall were done - no one knew "what was left" on the project). Tear out items were in our yard for over a month, despite multiple requests for pick up. :( 3 stars for the work done - no complaints there! read more

This company was recommended by our Realtor and did a great job for us! They juggled their schedule to accomplish a list of repairs the home inspector recommended that we have done before an open house the very next day. The repairman, Ivan, arrived on time and accompanied us down to Lowe's to purchase the materials we needed. He then worked five hours straight to get the job done. He worked efficiently and quickly. The cost was considerably less than we anticipated--around $570 for labor + materials. We very much appreciated the willingness of this company to work with us around such a tight timeline and at a reasonable cost. We'll be calling them again--probably soon after we move to our new home. read more

We used Honey Do for our home that we just purchase. It was a flip so there was an issue with the furnace and electrical work. They had someone come out and quote us 1,500 for the work to make our heat work and airflow better. It even listed some metal work. My fiance was home when the company came out and the worker went in the attic for about 30 minutes and just sprayed some foam around our furnace and said that the problem was actually our furnace wasn't grounded and he couldn't do anything about that. He left and we got a bill for 1,500 still, for 30 minutes of work that fixed nothing. We had to pay them because we signed a contract, they robbed us. We went with a different company who is helping us and not over charging us...be aware. DON"T USE THIS COMPANY. read more

We hired We Honey Do for 3 projects (one small indoor and 2 outdoor). They quoted 2 people for 2 days to complete the work. They took 3 days and only 1 of 3 projects was completed as agreed. They left a mess and damaged some of our property in the process. When I raised our concerns, they made a very small adjustment to my final bill, made excuses and, not so subtly, blamed me. Run. Away. Fast. I wish I would have listened to most of these reviews. We hired this company in 2017 to remodel two of our bedrooms and it was a horrible, stressful and expensive experience. We regret going with the cheaper bid, ESPECIALLY when they ended up going so over budget and being far more expensive than others. No communication. Zero work for days, sometimes weeks. It's unfortunate because their actual workers are good, but the management and the contractors are horrendous. We're currently doing a complete kitchen remodel with a real company and the difference is unbelievable. I'm having horrible flashbacks, which is what prompted me to write this review. I would not hire this company if they were the last company around. They over charge, do not meet deadlines, the quality of the work by the worker was great. The office will not return calls, the lady Caroline who answers the phone in the office is rude, inconsiderate and makes you feel about 2 inches tall. Eric the owner does not return calls, he fast talks to confuse you to get the job, says it will cost this much then has tech bring a the bill for collection and then emails a totally different bill. WeHoneyDo projects, and project managers, are things to be avoided unless you enjoy unexpectedly large bills. I had a 12' x 16' building that needed a roof put on. I had the materials: joists, etc. ready at the job site. WeHoneyDo sent out a project manager, Dave, to assess. After walking around the shed and chatting a bit we agreed that it was a two person job that would likely take a day and a half to two days. The next day, I got an estimate for ~ $2,200.00 for the job which I accepted. Next week, two carpenters showed up. I asked if they had everything they needed and they said yes. An hour later they came back and asked if for access to additional power sockets. OK, not a problem. Work ended at around 1pm that day; the carpenters had carved notches in the supplied joists and were, trying to 'hook' them to the sides of the shed. The "project manager" contacted me to advise that 'the building is out of square, need to reset, etc., etc." There is no explanation as to why this 'significant issue' wasn't identified in the site visit before the estimate. Work stops and I get a new, additional estimate for the work needed to 'square' the building. At this time, Dave advises that the fastening pieces for the roof panels don't appear to match the panels. I double check and advise him that the pieces are indeed compatible and are designed to work with the panels. I asked Dave if they had everything they needed to get it done and he said they did. Work re-started and people showed up; but for two days the shed didn't get any more finished. I had another conversation about the roof fastening pieces and re-assured Dave, again, that the pieces would work. I asked when the job would actually get going and done. He noted that the building was now 'square' and things should go quickly. I asked if he had everything they needed and Dave said they did. He called back 2 hours later about screws and washers for fastening the roof panels and I noted that his original estimate had a charge for nails, screws, etc. "That didn't cover the screws & washers for the roof," he said quickly. I told him to go to home depot and get some. And, again, asked if he had everything he needed to finish. He said he did. When I got home that evening, nothing had been done, but I had an email waiting for me that was basically a 'please sign this saying that we warned you about the roof fastening pieces not being compatible with the roof panels." I went to check: the boxes holding the fasteners had not been opened: they hadn't even tried checking the fit. I signed their request and added a note that I hoped work would recommence soon. They showed up the next day. I, again, asked Dave if they had everything they needed. He said he did. Three hours later, Dave calls to tell me that 'we're short' fastening pieces. How short? I ask. Thirty two pieces. I point out that there are 32 total pieces that are two feet long; there should be enough to attach at both top and bottom of the panels. Dave advises that they went ahead and put four rows on one side; apparently the concept of four rows on one side versus two rows one each side is a bridge too far. I explain it to him in small words. He advises that he'll get going on removing the roof and the re-doing the whole thing. I realize that they've not done any planning or laying out of the work, basically not thinking at all, which is why they installed one half of the roof before realizing they didn't have enough materials for the other side. This results in a pointed conversation with Dave: I told him to put the remaining roof panels on, after explaining how to do it with the available materials, and then leave 'cause I was going to get someone else to finish the work correctly. Dave babbled a bit about 'building to code' and wood types so I repeated myself. When I got home, the panels were in place. The next day, I received a bill that was over double the amount of both the original and the additional estimate put together. Instead of one trip to Home Depot, they had five trips 'to get materials'. There was no explanation as to how a project runs over to double the cost without the "project manager" saying anything. When I point this out to Dave via email, I got a list of work he said they had to do in order to finish job. I ask why, when he had not one but two opportunities to review and estimate, that all the 'extra' work wasn't included in the second estimate? No answer. Dave proposed 'splitting the difference" - instead of paying two thousand six hundred over estimate, how about I just pay one thousand three hundred over estimate? He then noted that 'this discount should cover the extra trips to Home Depot." Apparently, adjusting over-charges was 'a discount' in his mind. While the actual carpentry work done was adequate: the project as a whole was a mess. The 1.5 to 2 day job ended up lasting two and a half weeks and Dave's final inv read more

We will not be hiring this company again. I will try to remain objective during this review. This was a re-model/repair of our kitchen that had water damage to about one quarter of the kitchen, including about 3 cabinets, the floor, and the corresponding countertop. We decided to re-do all of the countertops. We were not looking for a complete upgrade/re-model of our entire kitchen. Reason for two stars: -the estimate was detailed (actually, half a star for this) and competitive with other estimates we received (the other half). -the final price was $200 less than the estimate. Reason for minus three stars: -original estimate was for this job to last ~3 1/2 days total (Tuesday through Friday morning in mid-November). The job was finished in the third week of January. -the project manager stated that the floor (nice looking vinyl, nothing fancy) would be the last thing to be installed. The contractor who showed up on the very first day said the floor needed to be installed first. He installed the floor but then, later in the job as he was installing the cabinets, had to cut out a 3 inch slice to accommodate the position of the cabinets. He then stuck in a non-matching 3 inch piece to cover up the hole. -after installing the cabinets, there were two "holes" where the base of the cabinets did not meet up with the existing pieces. He mentioned in passing I could just stick some wood in there to close the holes. One of these holes was remedied by the other guy who worked the job by sticking a piece of wood into the hole and screwing a large black screw through the base trim to secure said piece of wood. -the cabinets and countertops were not installed to standard height. Standard height in kitchens is ~36 inches. The cabinets and countertops (laminate) were, in the one spot where it mattered, 35 1/4 inches on one side and 35 3/8 on the other side. In between sat our stove (electric slide-in). Because of this our stove, even with the legs screwed down as low as they could go, stood up about a half inch above the countertops. This was very noticeable. The solution to this was to remove the legs and stick 1 inch felt pads on the bottom of the oven. -if you say you're going to show up at 8:00, show up at 8:00. If you call a little after 8:00 to say you're going to show up between 9:00-9:30, show up between 9:00-9:30. If you're going to show up at 11:42, call. This company was referred to me by a co-worker, so maybe it was just luck of the draw on who showed up. Regardless, I was hoping for a little more. read more

Ok, so, hmmmmm.. Where to begin with this one. I don't usually write bad reviews, because being a biz owner myself, I understand how important pleasing a client is. But that's the biggest problem I have with this company.. They didn't behave as thought "pleasing the client" was in their mission. Here the short version: We hired WHD to work on a few small projects in our house: install a dishwasher, install and run plumbing for a washer dryer on main floor, install a new vent hood and stove, and repair a squeaky and loose board in our softwood floors. The quote seemed very reasonable, and the man who bid the job seemed to know what he was talking about, so we went for it. The kitchen work, (stove, vent, dishwasher, install washer/dryer), all went fairly well, except it took almost twice as long as quoted and they cut the hole for the dishwasher with (what looked like) a beaver on a stick. It's all jagged and looked pretty awful but the dishwasher works. The big problems happened with the plumbing for the washer dryer, and the floor repair. Basically the bidder told us they could do the plumbing, but then when the workers came to do it, they claimed they didn't feel comfortable. After an hour or so, a plumber arrives and we are confused, we call the bidder/job manager and ask why he's there, turns out one if the workers called his friend in to do the plumbing. Then it turns out that the job required a licensed plumber anyway, and the bidder said "well then I guess it's lucky for you that I quoted you for a licensed plumber, because the cost will probably stay around the same! I'll just make less money on it". Ummmm. Great. There was more mess but that's about the gist. Then, the floor. Omg. We have gorgeous aged fir floors in our house, stained a deep mahogany with aged cherry undertones. There was an area that was bothering us, where previous owners had taken out a duct and installed the floor in a patch-like section, in a high traffic area. The section had a squeak when we first moved in but it had started to give a lot, and we couldn't see what was happening from the basement. So, all I had him bid was to repair the squeak, or make it so the boards were shimmed and wouldn't "give" so much when walked on. He aid they could repair it no problem. In the quote it said they would match the material (our original floor) and replace/repair the problem. So, the bidder/manager shows up with Lumber Liquidators stock prestained garbage, and it was MAPLE, AND it was like chocolate brown. Our floors looked orange in comparison. So, I kindly said "this material doesn't match at all color-wise, and it's maple, which would wear differently, because our floors are fir". The manager said "your floors are maple". We argued about it for awhile, I said I didn't want him to take out any more of our floor until I saw well color matched material. He told me I'd "live with it for the weekend and if we didn't like it, they'd come back, sand the stain off, restain it in place". It was a nightmare because I've worked with wood for years and knew that wouldn't work for many reasons. So, he basically was rude and condescending, broke eye contact with me and just started working on it. So, the new floor looked awful and was at least 1/16th thicker than our existing floor, so it looked like a patch of laminate stuck onto a 1915 fir floor. Which is what I told him it would look like. So we called and of course said we didn't like it, they'd have to indeed come back to do whatever to fix it, and we were met with opposition. I wasn't going to have that crap toxic floor in my house so I called Ballard Reuse and asked if they had any fir reclaimed flooring, and liw and behold, they did. Exact same stuff, $3.00/sqft. Excellent! I went and got it, sanded it, stained it to match exactly (which the job manager now said "couldn't be done, impossible"), and then we had their worker install our project. While the color is a perfect match now, our floor is pretty much toast. It's lumpy because the reclaimed boards weren't all exactly the same thickness, and when they installed it they shimmed it here and there to try to get it level, but it's not. The worker did the best job he could. When I told Eric about the project issues, he claimed that the manager's story contradicted mine. He sounded like he believed I was the "hysterical female client" who doesn't really know what she wants, only to take indecision out on the contractor. Not so, folks. They botched this job big time, and admitted to overcharging us for labor for their non licensed plumber. The workers we had in our home for many days were all very kind, they worked very hard, and they got the job done. But I will caution anyone considering using this company that they should be leery of the bidder and make sure they get an honest quote. It also came in over twice what they quoted, and they included the cost of labor on the botched floor. read more

I seldom take the time to write Yelp reviews, but when you have a GREAT customer experience, it warrants taking the time to let people know. From my initial contact with Scott, to the timely and clear estimate, to the work being done professionally and on-time, I could not have been happier with my experience with We Honey Do. Scott's team, (Jack, Juan, Taeh, and Ivan) were friendly, hard working, and obviously cared about their respective crafts. I had recently bought a second home on Anderson Island and getting professionals out to the Island (scheduling-wise) was really frustrating. I solved that my calling We Honey Do and in one call, Scott was able to review the complete home inspection report and outline a game plan for addressing the work I wanted to address. Power washing the decks. Power washing and prepping the house for a complete paint job. Plumbing work. Carpentry work both inside and outside. Dry rot repair. You get the picture. The work was all done in a less than 10 day time span this July. And it came in UNDER BUDGET/ESTIMATE. Wow. And when I called the owner (Eric) to pay the balance with my credit card, he waived the small fee normally charged for credit card purchases. Top to bottom a GREAT experience. I have already had Scott back over to look at additional work to do. I would not hesitate to recommend We Honey Do to anyone who was looking for quality work done by good people. read more

Again and again, they have said someone will show up, and noone shows up for the job. I think this company bites off more than they can chew. Tina was able to schedule me a couple of days later for a crawlspace inspection (to see if I need to replace the vapor barrier and have it cleaned) as we are selling our home and wanted it clean for the new owners. Daniel came during his scheduled time (3-5, he was there at around 3!) and was thorough with his inspection and took helpful pictures for me to see asap. I scheduled the vapor barrier replacement and cleaning for the following Friday when they had the earliest availability and the team came on time and finished early. Showed up exactly on time which is a huge plus with handyman. We had them replace a damaged baseboard and patch and repaint several walls. He was efficient, friendly and there's absolutely no sign of any prior damage.
