The job crew took care not to damage anything in my home and cleaned up thoroughly every day. They were efficient and fast only taking 5 days to finish. I bought windows from Mike the owner back on April 26th 2010 when he just started out selling these windows. One of mine has been broken since Feb of this year. Each time i Cal they keep giving me the runaround. First it was going to take two months to order and replace, next time it was 12 to 15 weeks for order to be received, then on June 7th they called and said 3 to 5 weeks. Buyer beware....We are at the beginning of a 100k+ job. Once you sign the contract and pay the deposit, the only time you hear from them is if you call them first. Had weathertite windows replace our windows and door in our lanai after they were finished we saw a crack in the ceiling in the middle of the long wall that they put windows in called and they said send pictures which I did had to keep calling to get and answer I said could they send someone out to look at it and their answer was the house is old not there problem but the crack was not there till they did the work the salesman said if you have any problems they will come out and fix it which they did not if I had know I would've had someone else do the job not a way to do business I have contacted a lawyer who is looking in to this would not recommend them read more

When they finally installed them several months later they did it in one day which was great except there were a few issues with 2 broken marble sills which they freely replace and a few windows had crooked dividers in them. And after nearly 2 years and many return trips with wrong sized windows and sills or windows with even more crooked dividers, they finally today replaced the last bad window. After all these issues and extremely long project the best they could do was a $350 discount off this $13,000 bill. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

We would NOT recommend Weather Tite Windows. It took over a year and multiple issues to finally get our windows installed!! On January 11, 2023, we signed a contract with them to install seven windows in our living room, dining room and kitchen. It took over a year to have them installed. Finally, on January 25, 2024, the last window was finished after five installation trips! The problem started at the beginning. Our contract was to have a picture window in the living room. The estimator was not knowledgeable of what style would work in our window openings and we had to settle for something else that we really did not want. We were told that they would install in 15 to 30 weeks. We are snowbirds, and we told them that after 15 weeks, we would not be here until fall. We asked that they try their best to have them in by that time. The estimator measured, another person came later and remeasured, and the windows were measured a THIRD time after they decided we could not get the picture window that we originally wanted. We called them a couple of weeks before we left for our northern home and the person we talked to was not very friendly. We received a call from them in the summer saying our windows were in. We told them that now they must wait till we come back in October. When the installers came in October, they discovered that NONE OF THE WINDOWS WERE THE CORRECT SIZE---AFTER 3 MEASUREMENTS!! Now, they had measure and reorder AGAIN!! We would have been really upset if we had flown back to Florida and this happened!! On November 30th, we called asking for an ETA of date to install. The lady we talked to was very rude and said she would call us on Dec 8th and let us know. When they never called on that date, we called them. We were told that we would have to wait another week just to see if the windows were into their warehouse. Finally, they came to install the windows on December 14th, and one window was broken. The installers worked on 2 windows and never finished the inside of them. The next day, they finished these 2 windows and started the 3 in the living room---but never finished them!! They said they would finish them when they came back in a month with the 2 kitchen windows. On January 19th, 2024 (over one year since we paid our deposit), they finished the living room windows and started the kitchen windows. They never finished them!! There was a big mix up on the day to come back. The office lied to the installer about a day before coming back to finish. Finally, on January 25th, the last installation of the 7 windows were completed. That was a total of 5 trips the installers made!! That wasn't the end to the problem with Weather Tite. On their TV commercials and their website, they advertised a $100 per window discount rebate. I asked for it and was told the estimator deducted it when he gave us the estimate. This did not happen. Nothing was ever mentioned, and it was not on our contract. We told them that if we did not get it then that was false advertising, and we are due $700 discount. They finally agreed to a $500 credit. read more

Stay away. These windows are over priced and the installation is sub-par at best. It took over 6 months to get them, then 1 came in wrong. One was scratched. We had to wait another 2 months for them to come in. There were 2 pieces that had to be fabricated in the field because they didn't make the piece for the curved windows. The need to get cleaned immediately after getting wet, otherwise they stain. They do keep some heat out but there is not much difference. They are not worth the extra money. I am very disappointed that after several phone calls including buyer's and seller's realtors, a title company, and even the sellers and me the, buyer of a home where Weather Tite is set to install windows, they did not give the professional courtesy of extending a warranty to me the buyer of a home where the installation hasn't even started. This is truly awful customer service and guarantees that all of us who have been in communication with them will never use Weather Tite windows in the future, and we will definitely not recommend their services to others. Moreover, we will discourage everyone we know from using Weather Tite for their window needs...and we know A LOT of people. $32,000 is a lot of money to spend on windows that are not covered by the lifetime warranty their company boasts about on their website. I would even say it falls under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. For point of reference, according to the act, a deceptive practice is one that is "likely to mislead" consumers. Davis v. Powertel, Inc., 776 So.2d 971, 974 (Fla. 1st DCA 2000). Again, in their own words from their website, "Weather Tite Windows has vowed to offer customers throughout the Tampa Bay area 100% "Complete and Total Satisfaction." That's why we created our signature Lifetime Warranty on all installations. If at any point you have a problem with a product you purchased from us, that we installed, Contact Us. We'll see to it that a solution is reached promptly." Being that I am taking over the note of commencement on this window order, and the funds are being held in my escrow account, I would say it qualifies me as the purchaser of the products they will be installing in my home all the while refusing to provide a warranty for services they haven't even provided yet. The crack that I got on my window was caused by an error in installation as per Glass Doctor but because my mom died and according to them, the contract was only with her, I can not get this fixed!!!! We never knew this and if we did, we would have put it in my name or both our names... this is the worst customer service. We had a very good experience working with Kevin....unfortunately COVID came and the windows ordered in April did not arrive until December. The installers were fabulous but now almost a month later the window installation needs completion. The real problem is that the workers coming into my home not only failed to bring masks, but acted very offended when I asked about them. They broke one frame installing it, tried to get us to accept it broken, finally sent a new window to replace it but sent the wrong size window, and once again the new installers were unprepared to wear masks and acted like it was an annoying request. Worst damn company ever!!!! 13 months in, countless opportunities for them to fix a sliding glass door installation, but simply clueless!!!

I'd like to give this outfit a five star review BUT service seems to be lacking. I replaced four sliding glass doors and 11 windows at a cost of 35K plus. Ordered in February and they are ALMOST completed in August. I understand it takes awhile to make custom windows so I expected to wait months for the install process. Inspection was completed today (AUG 4th) but they can't seem to find time to fix a roller on one of the doors, replace ny broken mantle (workers broke it) and finish the trim on the 11 windows. I now have to wait another 7 weeks for these things to happen. We had a vacation scheduled for September 4th and now I can't go because I have to wait for their service department to come and finish the job. Same thing happened after the four doors were installed in June but they never came to finish the trim until July. Windows are great BUT service is horrible. read more

Our quote was very high but I really wanted a very large triple sliding doors so my poolside would feel like it was part of my house - it was going to involve placing a beam larger than the double floor to ceiling windows, and it would be wider too, so we agreed. MONTHS, not weeks later, the windows were removed, the sides 'hacked' larger and then we were told our doors wouldn't fit! A temporary closing was installed and then we were being pressured into accepting a double sliding door. I did not want an extremely expensive double door, that is not what was discussed or agreed upon. The 'manager' said it would be hurricane proof and a much better door than we were getting, still 'no'. They offered money off, minimal I might add, 'still 'no', they also tried 'tempting us with they had one just the right size and could install it almost immediately.... still 'no'. I then said that they could install that door until our new triple door was made, which they did, probably hoping we would keep it. Finally our shorter, smaller triple door was installed and then to cover up their mess they suggested using white trim all around it - more than 12 inches on both sides and the top - hell 'no'. Another set of 'employees' were sent over to stucco the surrounding area and left us with a huge mess to clean up. Wish I could give them a better review but their double slide up and down windows they can't fit a screen if their life depended on it. First set of screens didn't close the bottom part of the window and allowed bugs to get in. So they made new screens, so they say, and the same thing, bugs at night get in through the gap. They didnt mention that until about 3 or 4 months after install, they called to tell me the replacement for the damaged window they installed was in and wanted to set a time a week later to replace the damaged glass!!! I had a great experience with Weather Tite Windows. My salesman Ross was accommodating, informative and honest. My expectations were exceeded with the installation by Ernesto. He was truly a pleasure to work with and he did an above excellent job of installing my windows. The quality of the windows (hurricane impact windows) seems great. Super quiet. I can't even hear the air conditioner compressor directly outside the windows from inside. I'm happy to have new windows with new screens that work great. Now my only problem is there's only about ten days a year I can open them to get fresh air because I live in Florida and it's always too hot outside. lol. I would rate them as no stars if possible. I stupidly paid them upfront for 2 replacement windows. After 4 months the window glass came in. I thought by ordering windows I would get a window but no. So I accepted that they would change glass but one was the wrong glass, even though they were ordered correctly. We started working with Weather Tite Windows just as Covid started. No problem, we are snow birds and not in a rush for installation. We order May and delivery was January. The installation was terrible, Dented frames, sloppy caulking, even getting on the bedspread. (Although Weather Tite picked up the cleaning bill) and broken scratched windows with the wrong handles on the slider. After the state inspection, Weather Tite sent a person to review our install. Notes upon notes with 40% of the windows needing to be replaced or repaired. No worries, we're headed North again. We return in December and we schedule the install. The. installation crew doesn't have any idea of which windows need to be replaced? repaired? They proceed to tell us there are 2 broken windows and 1 cracked sliding door in the truck. They do what they can and leave. Now I'm complaining to Weather Tite. I keep trying to go up the chain. My sales rep is useless. Finally Mor says she's going to make this right and get our windows corrected. We head North again. I return and contact Mor. She has no idea what I'm talking about? Whether Tite doesn't want/ nor will they deal with me. I'm told my claim has been submitted to the glass company and I must deal with them. We negotiated a price and Weather Tite agreed to the price, but now will not honor their warranty because our price was too good for them to honor their warranty. Wether we agreed to the warranty or not, they have never corrected the initial install. Dents, poor caulking,, broken scratched window and the wrong handles. Mr. Cookieman is just a fraud. We signed an install agreement after we crossed out a condition that we were not allowed to post any public comments about Weather Tite Windows. They did not accept our version so we cancelled. If we had signed their agreement we could have been sued if we publicly complained about poor installation, poor product, or poor service. When they tore out my windows they damaged the wood siding of our home, ordered the wrong size windows, and our house was torn up for months. I found out they use all Subcontractors, NOT Employees. The Sub they used left his trailer in our driveway without notifying us he was leaving. They screwed up the measure process on our sliders, and our home ended up torn up for FIVE MONTHS. I decided to pay someone else to finish the carpentry because I no longer trusted them. The Foreman was constantly rude, and the Owner, Mike refused to speak to me. Run away. Terrible company. Installed hurricane doors after many thousands of dollars and during hurricane Ian and they completely leaked (see the video). Our floor flooded and the wood buckled because water poured in from improperly installed windows. All the other windows that were older in our building in other units were fine. Our unit was the only one that had a problem. They say they guarantee satisfaction but that's untrue. Steve and the owner Michael Hollander are crooks.
