Our vehicle was a no start the first day we got there Wednesday July 13 at 10:45pm. Most shops, including Precision Automotive, were booked solid and some were not very pleasant when I called. Joe at Precision Automotive was up front with me as well. He was booked solid and under staffed. He was so pleasant on the phone and completely honest about his work load situation. Other places that I talked to were vague and gave me a bad vibe with an almost dismissive attitude about my predicament. Joe was empathetic and very accommodating. He had a window of opportunity to make the diagnosis on the vehicle but said he may not be able to make the repair in the couple days we had left on our vacation time. I went with him anyway. I would rather stay longer at the Dells than planned and deal with an honest and genuine person/establishment than the obvious alternative. They diagnosed the vehicle and again told me that they could not make any promises on the repair time. We were staying at a resort and had to check out. We had nowhere to put our luggage and were ready to bring it to our van and try to find another hotel to stay at same day, on a Friday in the middle of July. I got the call at 8:30 in the morning that the van was fixed! Joe told me that I was extremely lucky that the repair was able to be performed (honestly modest). He didn't take any credit for the fact that our vehicle was "squeezed into the work load that he was already dealing with." Maybe it was luck but my gut tells me Precision Automotive manages their time very well. I am rambling on because I am so impressed. Honest, efficient and a fair price. I gave her the receipt from that shop and she made a copy of it. To say that they were not initially aware of this is false. I also followed what my triple AAA representative recommended in this situation, and due to the circumstances surrounding the service with the prior shop, they recommended I be towed to the nearest Triple AAA approved shop - which was Blystone's. The very nice receptionist Yolanda did tell me that the shop is very busy and the diagnosis could take up to 2 weeks. It is the fact that after two weeks I was not told an update in timing, I was told to "TOW IT SOMEWHERE ELSE." That is a direct quote, not a dramatization. I was also asked why I didn't tow it back where it came from, afterwards. If Blystone's never intended to "get to it", they could've have been up front about that before my car sat there for two weeks. Busyness is not an excuse for poor communication. Being up front about this situation initially would've saved both of us the trouble. No excuses.
