I came here with a friend who was visiting from out of town and overall the experience was really nice. The atmosphere was great--inside was a little crowded, so we decided to sit outside, and I'm glad we did. The backyard area had cozy pillows and covers on the seats, which made it feel really comfortable. The weather was beautiful that day, and it felt like the perfect spot to enjoy a drink. The drinks themselves were really good and reasonably priced, and we got them pretty quickly, which was a big plus. For the most part, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The only reason I'm leaving this review is because when we were leaving, one of the staff members (not our server) stopped us and borderline asked if we had paid--in front of a group of people. We had, of course, already paid, so it felt uncomfortable and a bit embarrassing. Other than that moment, the experience was great, but I do think that could be handled better in the future.

Marin County's best "third place." Great community feel. A server greets you as soon as you saunter in. They're so helpful and kind. I order one of many favorites--Cacao Golden Milk. Creamy and chocolate-y...so comforting. You can choose from a number of locations inside; today I chose the eclectic back patio. There are several outdoor sockets where you can charge your electronics. So many events--trivia night, music, and more. Very sweet place.

Delicious tea and amazing people with quick service. The ambiance is so peaceful and welcoming. Amazing place to chill out and enjoy some unique teas and other fun drinks!

What a special space. This is where community is built. Grateful to have a wellness centered, mindful third space here. They host events and have delicious drinks. I always stop by if I am in the area!

Cool setup and excellent drinks! Really relished my smooth hot cocoa drink. Others in the party had the golden milk and the charcoal cleanse elixir which they liked as well. Today we went after lunch, next time we'll try their small plates as well.

Whenever you need a brainstorm/think tank session or want to explore a new chill place to vibe, Wu Wei Tea Temple is the place for just that. The energy and environment was very welcoming and warm. All the beautiful art and communal seating made me feel excited and curious about life. The bathrooms were clean and the staff were nice. If I'm in the area again, I know I have a place here.

Back patio is serene. My "vegan broth elixir" was unique and super yummy!

This place is amazing. The decor of the inside and the back patio is so inviting, weather alone, and a couple, or with a group of friends. This is a "not to be missed experience". The menu is unique and huge... Full of choices for everybody. Whether you want to be courageous or you're wanting to play it safe... Whatever you order will deliver a "sense"-ual experience to your taste buds.

But it is quite a trek to get here unless you do live near Ross, CA. L O C A T I O N It is located in a quaint little "downtown" area with some shops. The parking situation is street parking but they do have lengthy parking times and plenty of time for you to enjoy an afternoon tea without having to repark. I N S I D E They have two areas of their cafe and a spacious area in the back where today they had a large group/party. We sat in the other area to the left of the entrance. It does have a separate entrance. The interior is cute! Very cottage core. In the main entrance, past the cashier area is the restroom. There's only one folks. That's a shame cause if you're having a bunch of tea, you can only imagine at some point, you'll be needing to use the restroom and if there are multiple groups there, you can only hope it's free when you need it. They do have everything in there though that you need. Just wish there was more than one as I was needing to brush my teeth while I was in there and it does take a bit of time. M E N U They have a preset Afternoon Tea but if you're unable to handle a lot of snacks and sandwiches, you can always order a la carte. Since we were going to be there for a while, we all decided to get it. Sizeable portion and we all ended up taking some of the "dessert" tray home. You also got a full pot of tea for each Afternoon Tea. So we chose a variety of teas and what's great is that they do refills which I appreciate! I loved the scones and crumpet with clotted cream and jam and butter. Scones always make me feel warm. The sandwiches were small but you know it's tea time so it has to be cute and delicate. S E R V I C E It was attentive and not attentive at the same time in the best way possible. They were around to help us out when we needed and stayed away while we were enjoying our time with our tea. The best kind of service. O V E R A L L Even though it may feel a little pricey, it's definitely an experience. It's a nice way to just enjoy an afternoon of tea, snacks and good company. It is a bit far, but since it is a treat, it's a nice little getaway.

Instead, you simply place your order either online, or through the self-service kiosk located out front. There is a window next to the kiosk where they'll place your drink when ready. Ordered a Mango Supreme with Boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango taste, along with the nice and chewy boba. There's not a lot of boba options in San Rafael. But I'm glad Oddcha is one of them. Unbeknownst to me at the time, parking is available in a lot under the freeway on 4th street, behind Oddcha. I instead found street parking 3 blocks away and simply walked over.

We ordered the Coconut Bomb and the Thai Twister, and both drinks were excellent. They weren't overly sweet and had a really refreshing flavor. The boba also tasted fresh, which made the drinks even better. Ordering was easy using their kiosk system. One thing to note is that parking is located behind the shop. It was a bit confusing at first since the store is on a very busy road, but once you find the back parking area, it's much more convenient. Overall, a great stop for refreshing drinks--I'd definitely come back!

2.5 STARS kuma cafe…read moreis a small cafe serving quick bites and boba, conveniently located in downtown san rafael. even though it's in downtown san rafael, i've never had trouble finding street parking nearby. since you order on a tablet, there's not usually anyone behind the counter until the food comes out. it seems like there's only one person working, so it can sometimes take a bit for things to come out. i usually order online for a quicker pickup, although it's slightly more expensive. there are a few tables inside, but it's really a to-go place. - egg sandwich w/ salad (2.5/5): i love japanese egg sandwiches, so i really wanted to try this! the sandwich had a good kewpie mayo flavor, and it was slightly sweet. i enjoyed the flavor, but the sandwich was too wet and messy to eat. some of the mayo was dripping out of the sides. there were also small bits of tobiko and cabbage. it wasn't a big sandwich for the price, but it did come with a salad that was topped with a good sweet and creamy dressing - spicy tuna sandwich w/ chips (1/5): literally like canned tuna with some spicy seasoning, although it wasn't super spicy. it also had some thick slices of cucumber and red onion. the chips were kind of stale, and they tasted like they were supposed to be ruffles or lays salted chips. this was pretty disappointing, and i'm not sure why it cost that much - poke (2.5/5): pretty standard, and an okay portion for price. they offered all of the basic ingredients and different kinds of fish. my bowl didn't have a lot of fish in it, but they did give me a lot of tamago (sweet egg), which made up for the lack of protein. i ordered the soy house sauce, but it reminded me more of a bright ponzu. honestly, the ingredients didn't really taste the freshest, but i thought it was fine and the best food i tried here - jasmine rose milk tea (1.5/5): strong rose flavor! it was still pretty sweet at 50% sugar, and it got overwhelmingly sweet by the end. i usually finish drinks, even if i don't like them, but it was hard to finish - sando brown sugar milk tea (4/5): my favorite milky drink i tried! it had a pretty good black tea and chocolate malt flavor. i really liked the crunchy texture of the malt topping, although i think it could've used a little less malt and more drink. i thought this was very unique! - lychee dragon fruit (4/5): like a light lemonade! i didn't really taste the lychee. the dragon fruit flavor was subtle, but it was definitely there, especially at the end with all the dragon fruit bits. it came with lychee jelly, which made the drink pretty sweet - fizzy yuzu (4/5): literally a yuzu soda, which was tart and citrusy. it was a little too sour for me at first, but the yuzu flavor was great. i actually really liked the kiwi popping boba, which added some sweetness to the drink and curbed the tartness. the kiwi popping boba did taste like kiwi, and it was so unique! - momo peach iced matcha [seasonal] (1/5): the worst drink i tried... there was so much peach jam that it tasted super sweet, and the jam didn't even have a strong peach flavor. the amount of jam also made the drink extremely goopy, even after mixing, and i couldn't taste the matcha at all. i didn't finish this drink the boba here was inconsistent - sometimes it was soft and chewy, and other times, it was on the hard end. for the drinks that came with a topping, they didn't let me sub out the topping with something else. i would've had to pay for an additional topping in order to change it. overall, i'm not really a big fan of kuma cafe, but there aren't that many options in san rafael. compared to oddcha, i think kuma cafe offers more unique asian flavors, like dragon fruit or yuzu. when i'm working near downtown, i'll still stop by to get my boba fix but will head somewhere else for lunch.

Whatever we lacked in Korean or Ethiopian fare we made up for with an abundance of restaurants specializing in food from France and Italy. Amelie Cafe and Wine Bar continues the tradition and I'm not mad about it. With outposts in both San Francisco and New York City, Amelie sports a nice pedigree. The Fairfax location is dialed down a bit - perfect for the neighborhood it serves - and makes for a comfortable place to enjoy any meal however you might happen to appear that day. It's a simple cafe and, though not inexpensive, certainly less so than a trip to Paris. Two of us recently dined here, late afternoon on a weekend, sharing a burger ($23; comes with fries and a salad), a lager ($8; they have no IPA), and boquerones, the latter of which I fully regretted having to share. Whenever I see boquerones ($12) on a menu I cannot look away and in Marin, finding such an offering is a unicorn. Delicious; I might sneak back over solo just to enjoy them again. The burger and fries were also good, with a profile a bit different than what one would get at a non-French-centric spot. Amelie is a good place to drop in before or after a movie or a show in Fairfax and equally wonderful to pop into for a morning coffee drink or an afternoon glass of wine. It's a casual and a perfect fit for Fairfax.

Tye, our server, was friendly and kind and on top of refilling waters, offering drink suggestions, and grabbing to-go boxes before we even asked for them! I had the chicken parmigiana, which was light and flavorful, and the steamed spinach that went with it was delicious (and I HATE cooked spinach, but gave it a try and actually enjoyed it for the first time ever!) The andouille sausage that was served with the pesto risotto was smoked and you could really taste it, and the spicyness was just perfect. The pesto sauce was heavy on the pine nuts in the best way. It wasn't oily or heavy on the basil or garlic like a lot of pesto sauces can be, and that left the risotto so light and almost citrusy. My cousin had the harvest garden dish, and they were stunned by how delicious it was. As a vegetarian, they are particular about their veggies, but everything was 'perfectly cooked'. At the end of the meal we were surprised by the panna cotta with the fruit remoulade, which we devoured in like three minutes haha! We really enjoyed all of the food, the service, and the ambiance. We only wish we lived closer, but might make the 90+ mile trip from Sacramento just for the amazing food now and then.
