The gentleman who assisted me listened to my request, made his own recommendations, and I trusted his experience. We agreed on the alterations before the work began. When I finally received my shirts, I was excited to see the results. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The sleeves were shortened far more than we discussed. Now, when I wear the shirts, the sleeves fit very awkwardly and look oversized around the upper arm, making the shirts look poorly tailored instead of professionally altered. The workmanship is simply not what I expected. I also brought in a pair of pants to have some metal snaps removed because they were rubbing against my leg and causing discomfort. I was told the snaps could be removed and the area would be sewn so it would no longer bother me. Instead, the snap is still exposed and continues to rub against my leg, leaving me with the exact same problem I was trying to fix. What makes this even more frustrating is that I paid nearly $300 for these alterations. For that price, I expected quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Instead, I ended up with shirts I can no longer wear comfortably and pants that were not repaired as requested. The person I spoke with seemed very experienced, but based on the results, it feels like there was a breakdown in communication or someone else performed the work without fully understanding the instructions. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.

I now have a connection to history. I have known ancestry. It's odd to say but knowing about them has made such a difference in knowing about me. My father's identity is still a mystery but that's okay at this time. I have a mother who wants a relationship with me and we share so much in common it's like finding a new best friend. We just shared my birthday together 53 years later. I learned that she never got to see me at birth. Such a truly incredible gift! And to think I almost let fear get in the way. If you are on the fence about this, just do it! You've had a lifetime of not knowing, not connecting. Isn't it time to know? Connect yourself to history. It's like discovering a part of yourself that you never knew was missing. Like finding another half of a story you already thought you'd read. It's a very profound feeling. I highly recommend it!

This review is so long overdue but working with Mahtab was so wonderful that I couldn't not make time to leave a review for her. I found my dream designer dress for my destination wedding at Glamour Closet -- only problem was it was **several** sizes too large and the lace was quite delicate, making it tricky to alter. Not a problem for Mahtab. She made the dress look like it was handmade to my measurements without messing with the original design. She's also a lovely person and very reasonably priced (she quoted me half what others did, and went above and beyond). I drove all the way to Laguna and back from West LA several times and was glad to do it -- can't recommend her enough! read more
