Linda B. Some time ago we purchased a lovely burial space…read morefor our loved one in Mountain View Memorial Park's Evergreen Garden. Over time circumstances changed, and after being respectfully disinterred he was laid to rest with family in Canada. I was at a loss on what to do with our burial spot in Evergreen Garden until I met with Mountain View Family Service Advisor Lakisha Mitchell. Lakisha is knowledgeable and showed understanding and compassion as she laid out options to transfer the space. Within a week I received an envelope from her outlining what we had discussed with copies of all relevant documents and a preplanning guide for my husband and I to review! I am grateful for Lakisha's knowledge, understanding and follow through and highly recommend her services to anyone needing assistance at Mountain View.

There was no communication ever. We are in the process of putting our Poppa to rest in the family plot at Mountain View. So we went to see the family plots and couldn't find Auntie Barbs plot. We asked on three separate occasions. Auntie Barb paid for her funeral expenses in advance. She purchased one of Mountain Views packages including cremation and a memorial service. At her passing over five years ago, my husband took care of the arrangements. On our third try asking, Lakisha finally told us Auntie Barb was in the back room and her cremains had never been buried. They said we owed 1100.00 for her burial. NEVER A PHONE CALL, EMAIL, BILL IN FIVE YEARS! NEVER! When we went in to pay and discuss the issue, we were told they couldn't find any of her paperwork. They were relying on a note in a computer. After a few weeks they miraculously found an internal document showing us the cost of internment was not checked off. They initially asked for 1100.00 to inter Auntie Barb. After going back and forth, out of the graciousness of their hearts, they only charged us 495.00. The price it would have been five years ago. Five years! We're mortified. This has greatly impacted our trust. Shame on you Mountain View. Just SHAME. I have doubts about the cremains. Were they even Auntie Barbs?

My brother died unexpectedly in Spanaway WA. After reading the review from Sandi F., I called…read moreNatalie Kenan. I also live in Hawaii and wasn't sure of what to do. I was devastated and heart broken but she was so kind, and helpful every step of the way. From sending me the necessary forms to complete and advising me on how the body would be handled from the hospital to the cremation services, I was so reassured. They also delivered the death certificates and ashes to my hotel because I was overwhelmed handling his affairs including cleaning out his house. She also prepared a letter for the airline in compliance with TSA-airline regulations. I did call a few places before selecting A Life Remembered so did compare prices and services. Their prices are very reasonable, and the personalized service was so much more than I expected. I'm so grateful to have found this company via Yelp, and would highly recommend them.

She arranged for my mom to be transferred to the mortuary, she was able to get the death certificate signed quickly and hand delivered certified copies to the family within a few days. She then had all the proper documentation for me to bring my mom's ashes back to Hawaii which I didn't even know to ask about. I had asked about jewelry to put some of the ashes in and she took care of that as well. It feels strange to even talk about pricing but the cost was way less than what we would have expected and to have someone caring and respectful that comes to the home twice, once to discuss your wishes, and the second time to hand deliver your loved one's ashes so you don't have to go through the pain of visiting the mortuary itself meant so much. Natalie even followed up with a card to let us know she was thinking of us. I would highly recommend her service to anyone.

The mausoleum is absolutely beautiful and very art deco but I understand it's very old and may be torn down in a few years. There's even a little apartment there, but the staff wouldn't show it to me because they said it's for staff only. I would love to live at the cemetery so I was very interested in seeing it. However, it is a great place to visit to just get some time alone and some quiet. I would love to have my ashes stored here, but I don't know the prices as of yet. It looks like they also do cremations and water cremations, but the water cremations cost more. It's worth it because you can plant stuff.
