    Shoyu Ramen

The staff was pleasant and the restaurant was clean with a very nice chill vibe. The food was alright. I felt like the tonktasu and shoyu broths were pretty thin compared to great ramen places I've had in the past like ramen Tatsuya. The meat I had was pretty chewy too. Overall I do agree that this didn't feel super authentic as a previous reviewer had stated. I do wish them well, very nice people.

Food was hot and Quite good. Service was Adequate . Not the most friendly atmosphere. I accidentally interrupted their lunch. Kinda Asian ambiance. Lots of wood. Food was pretty on presentation

I really enjoy the Spicy Ramen here. It's not too spicy for me personally, more of a medium heat, but still good. The portion size is also solid. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's been great each time.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch here. The Tonkatsu ramen was quite tasty and the service was quick and efficient. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. If you're looking for a tasty and quick meal, this is a great option.

Tried something new for lunch and wasn't too impressed. It could be that it was my first time having ramen and wasn't for sure what to order. If my decision to go back was based off my meal today, I wouldn't. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. I ordered the Veggie Ramen but it was spicy. The spice was there but wasn't flavorful. The service wasn't bad, very attentive. Not sure if I will try this place again.

Good! Yum. Clean and inviting atmosphere for families. Very fresh and a comfortable stop to stop in and enjoy some Sake and Ramen. Great appetizers as well

Stopped in while taking a walk during lunch. I settled on the pork bun and the shrimp appetizer. The ambiance is bright and welcoming and service is quick. Definitely will be back again to try some thing else from the menu. There are two restaurants in one as they also have one that serves mocha donuts and boba tea.

We were on a tight time frame and the staff here were so helpful! They got us seated right away and the food came out so fast. I got the tonkotsu ramen and it was delicious. I only wish it came with more than half an egg!

I stopped by Wei Ramen for a quick lunch and was so glad I did! I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Udon to go, and it was ready in under 10 minutes--super fast and convenient. But once I saw how warm and cozy the space was, I decided to dine in instead. The udon was incredible--comforting, flavorful, and the shrimp tempura was perfectly crisp. It hit the spot! Great food, great atmosphere--I'll definitely be back.

Wei Ramen is my first meal here in Indianapolis, and it set a good tone for the trip! I'm a big ramen fan, so it was exciting to see some new varieties of ramen that I haven't tried before. We got the gyoza, the shumai, the Karai Ramen, and the Curry Chicken Katsu. Everything was very good! The gyoza and shumai both featured crunchy shells and soft steaming interiors. The Karai Ramen was very mild, with silky smooth broth and a lovely umami. I expected the kimchi to pack more of a punch, but even though it wasn't as spicy or acidic as I expected, the kimchi still delivered nicely contrasting bites to the more earthy egg, mushroom, and bamboo. The chicken katsu curry was a generous piece of fried chicken, and came with a large portion of rice. The service felt a little harried, but the food came out REALLY fast!

Wei ramen is a cute low key place to grab lunch or dinner. It has a very simplistic calming vibe. The service was excellent. I am a gluten free foodie so I have to ask several questions before I can place an order. Our waitress was patient and resourceful in helping me find safe food options.

Have to say I liked this ramen spot in Indianapolis. I have loads of ramen in my life and sometimes I feel you got to know the do's and don'ts when ordering. The takoyaki was absolutely delish. Gooey just like it's supposed to be. Could have used a little more bonito shavings but I'm just knit picking. My ramen also was delicious. I poured the hot sesame oil they have in it so that for sure added. Service was great so all thumbs up for me!

I loved how many good option were on the menu - but that there wasn't an overwhelming amount of things on the menu. To me that means you do certain things well!! I had the kimchi ramen, and everyone else had the spicy ramen. We shared the chili garlic edamame and pan fried dumplings. The chili garlic edamame was SO GOOD and garlicky!! All of us loved our ramen! Flavorful, and not overly spicy. We will definitely be back.

When we arrived, were here asked if we had a reservation which we didn't and the lady said she asked because they had many reservations for that time. We were seated in one of the upper pods which gave a nice elevated view of the entire restaurant. We ended up choosing different combos so we could try the different side dishes. Overall the food was great. We were served our dishes by different people and one guy was almost rude when he brought our ramen bowls. If I had to choose, I'd go to 86th Street as everything about the experience was top tier.

We came in on a Friday night at 6:30 with no reservation, and had to wait ~5 minutes for a table of two. We were sat at a high top at the bar, which we appreciated. Our server greeted us quickly, and checked in a few times throughout the night. Service was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. I had a hurricane to start off. Packed full of the good stuff, and one was definitely enough for the night. Appropriate price for what you get. This drink is what brought my review from a 2 for the food to a 3 in total. We started off with pork Bao buns. The bun was spongy, but somewhat dry. The pork lacked any sort of flavor, and the sauce on it didn't do much for me. The next part of the meal was the most disappointing for me: the curry chicken wings. Let me tell you- I was excited for these. These lacked any sort of flavor at all, and the only thing saving it was the ranch. The wings had a good crisp, but the sauce was lacking taste. I had the Shoyu ramen for my main. It was a pretty average bowl of ramen, but for the price, I expected more. The pork in it was flavorful, but the chicken in it was odd in my opinion with an unexpected herby flavor. Overall, service was average (but we appreciated getting sat fast), drinks were strong (and saved the meal) and the food was average. Would go if invited by a friend, but probably would not return on my own.

The interior was a vibe with dim lighting that made the rainy meal experience even cozier. Ordering is easy either through the staff or a self ordering kiosk. Thankfully, Yujo Ramen & Boba Tea was right up the road. It's tucked into the commercial strip off Meridian and 96th--you could almost miss it if you're not paying attention. But the vibe was nice and calming, the menu was extensive (ramen and boba options for days), and I landed on the spicy miso ramen--exactly what I needed to warm me up. Nailed it. The broth was rich, savory, and comforting with just the right amount of heat. Every ingredient tasted vibrant and fresh. The green onions, tender pork, and perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg were the ideal companions swimming in that spicy miso goodness. On a gray, cold Indianapolis day, this bowl absolutely hit the spot. Can't wait to come back and try the boba.
