First trip back since the new owners and it was hopping. I ordered 2 all the way, small FF, and a coke. All in all decent service, although no one checked if I was enjoying everything. It's not a bargain anymore, that's for certain. Came to over $15 before tip. Biggest rip off is a medium coke for $3.50 (come on guys). Overall I enjoyed the food. Might come back but they could really improve overall service and beverage pricing.

Last stop on day three of the RI Food Fights was another classic location, Wein-O-Rama, which was notoriously closed and then reopened by some local business people to great acclaim. That plays out in the busy parking lot and lots of people running in and out all day long. Unfortunately for us, the legendary status doesn't live up on the product. There was an off-putting spice in the sauce, infant identify it: it tastes like cinnamon or nutmeg, but Is probably allspice. In any event, it doesn't make the product better. The quality of the bun and weiner are quite good. Everything is on there in good ratios. But the taste is so weird and out of place it ruined it for me. It's good that this was the 3rd stop of the day, because if I came out of nostalgia for three all the way, I wouldn't have gone past the first one. Disappointed, but happy for the businessmen who kept it alive and for the people who clearly enjoy it.

Grabbed two all the way to go at the little side take out window. Very good wieners, meat sauce is excellent, onions were fantastic, and the Dijon mustard gave it great flavor. Although the wiener isn't cut off the rope and didn't make it end to end on the bun, it was amazing!

I've been looking to try a local dog with "meat sauce", mustard, onion, and CELERY SALT. Del's lemonade was close so I check out hot dogs and this restaurant was right down the road with great ratings. Nice cashier took my order and bagged it. The hot dog was so good and now what a different celery salt makes. I will add this to my Carolina style dog which has the same ingredients without celery salt. The fries were cooked to order and they stayed hot! Restaurant had 50s style diner theme but very clean. Overheard someone ordering scrambled eggs at 3pm! So you can order whatever you want at any time!

If you grew up in Rhode Island, you know Wein-O-Rama. This place is a true Cranston institution & home to some of the best hot wieners you'll ever have. After being closed for a bit, I was excited to see the doors open again. The second you walk in, it hits you: that comforting smell of grilled onions, spiced meat sauce & nostalgia. The decor is classic, old-school diner vibes with counter stools & no-frills tables. It's the kind of place where locals gather, orders are shouted with confidence & everything feels like home. I started with a cup of New England chowdah. There's no fancy garnish, no pretension & it tastes of the sea. I got 3 "all the way" (mustard, meat sauce, onions & celery salt). The wieners were snappy & juicy, the sauce was savory with a kick of spice & the bite of the fresh onions makes them irresistible. There was a long line for the take-out window & an almost equally long line for getting a seat inside. There seemed to be a little confusion on seating people but I'm sure it will work itself out soon. Service was friendly & efficient. Bottom line: Wein-O-Rama is back & better than ever. If you're a local, you know the deal. If you're visiting, this should be at the top of your list for a truly Rhode Island experience.

2 Wieners, All the way. With a side of fries and a coke. Can't get more American than that!

Very nice job cleaning the old place up. Looks brand new! The new uniform looks great on your new crew! Server was friendly and I got my 2-all-the-way pretty fast. They were as good as ever! Nice job new owners!

Good traditional hot weiner. Onion rings were cooked well. Will not be disappointed. Service was good and fast. Very busy place, the staff runs it very well. Milkshake was pretty good as well.

Gotta love RI hot wieners! This place is a staple when we go to visit the fam. It's a diner, so the atmosphere is relaxed. The service is friendly, and they treat you like family. The fries were a little oily, but still good. If you're here for a hot wiener, order them all the way! And, if you're like my dad, have a Tums handy lol

    Menu description

I love their hot weiners so I decided to try their breakfast. I ordered their Avocado toast which was described to have "smashed avocado" on it. I'm pretty sure I got an avocado spread and barely any of it. I can't believe this was $11! Dunkin Donuts has a better avocado toast than this and for less. Very disappointed. If you're not going to do it right don't put it on your menu.

Despite the name, the New York system, hot wiener is a Rhode Island novelty. As with any strange…read moreregional food, there are multiple claims to be the first. As far as I'm concerned only will New York system hot wieners are the original. On this trip, I ordered two all the way with fries and a Diet Coke and they delivered exactly that. For the uninitiated, a New York system hot wiener starts with a hot dog like sausage - the hot wiener - place in a hotdog roll topped with mustard, onions, meat sauce, & celery salt. The wieners came out tightly wrapped in butcher paper and hot. They were exactly what I was looking for after a long day. I got to the restaurant in Cranston their second location just after nine and the dining room was closed. But they have a take out window(not a drive-through, but a walk up) and I took my order to one of the two picnic tables in the front of the parking lot. The staff was very friendly and the meal was priced reasonably. If you are local to Cranston or Providence, and you enjoy a good hotdog, you should give Olneyville a try. It's a truly unique Rhode Island experience.

What a complete and absolute joke this place is! I wasn't expecting In n Out burger but, fuck …read more.. this was worse than any microwavable burger I've had. A combo meal (burger ... upgrade to onion rings ... and a root beer) was almost $26 after tip!! The burger alone was around $15. This holds the records for: 1. The most expensive fast food I've ever ordered. 2. The worst fast food I've ever ordered. If I paid $10 for this meal, it would have been $8 too much ... but $23 pre-tip? What a fleece! Look at the actual/advertisement side by side I added. That is probably the worst false advertising I've ever seen at a burger place. You literally couldn't have two burgers further from each other than the picture vs. what I got. The 'Papa Burger's' meat is as dry as cardboard and tastes very similar. The cheese was melted and bland. The only real flavour came from tons of ketchup and the pickles. Everything else was like eating a fake burger. I added onion rings for $2 extra in the meal. A small bag with 4 onion rings was what I got ... 4 onion rings! If you add the upcharge to what the original price of the meal was, that's like $5 for a tiny bag. They tasted like burned oil. Without ketchup, they were inedible. Even the famous root beer, which was advertised as 'made fresh daily' tasted like vanilla syrup mixed with soda water. I didn't get any of the levels of flavour one would expect with even a Barq's of IBC root beer. It was just vanilla sugar water. I guess this is the oldest operating 'drive up' restaurant in RI. It looked like any old snack stand to me. I guess you flash your lights and someone will take your order. I just ordered at the window to save time. Seriously, I thought all the other reviews might be exaggerated at how bad this was. Skip this one ... it really is just bad (Dairy Queen-level) fast food. Really expensive for what you get ... I'd take Burger King at over half off any day. The food sucks ... the prices are borderline what you'd find in midtown Manhattan ... and I'm happy to now have no need to go back.

I've been writing reviews for a while now, and unfortunately this may be my first truly bad review…read more My wife and I stopped into the A&W in North Smithfield for lunch and left wondering what happened to a brand that used to be known for good burgers and root beer. The service was underwhelming from the start. The young server wasn't rude, but she seemed completely uninterested, inattentive, and gave the impression that she'd rather be anywhere else. As for the food, it was even worse. We each ordered burgers, and both were bland and completely lacking flavor. The onion rings were severely overcooked--dark, hard, and unpleasant to eat. My wife ordered the fried cheese curds, which were acceptable, but so heavily salted that they overwhelmed any actual cheese flavor. We also ordered a sugar-free root beer, which ended up being the most memorable part of the meal. The restaurant itself had virtually no atmosphere, and the bill for two combo meals came to over $40 before tip. Despite the experience, my wife still left a generous tip because that's the kind of person she is. To make matters worse, my stomach was bothering me for well over an hour after we left. Poor service, bland food, overcooked sides, and a surprisingly high price tag. There is absolutely nothing about this experience that would make me return.
