I really like the sweet potato Kong Dog but whatever system this location uses is a disaster...!!! I first tried Kong Dog at one of their Boston Locations and really liked the unique taste and concept behind the Kong dog. But at the Providence Place mall location there is literally NOBODY behind the counter at all. It looks like 15* people are waiting for their orders.There is nobody behind the counter to even ask.... Somebody comes out from the back every 10 mins or so to give out an order but then they run right in the back!! I ordered 3 Kong dogs (cheese only) about 20 or so minutes ago. This is ridiculous. I don't know if I would be back. 5 stars for the sweet potato mozzarella only corn dog. 1 star for the horrible set up they have in place. Ordered at kiosk. Paid over $19 for two hot dogs on a stick. Waited....waited...waited....waited...the crowd around me slowly disappears...waited some more...25 total minutes have passed...many other people have ordered and left with their food, so I walk up and ask about my order.."oh... it'll be just a few more minutes "...waited...waited...waited some more...asked to speak with manager..."I can have your order ready in 5or6 more minutes"...SERIOUSLY??? Turns out they skipped my order and the front crew didn't even once think to check on it as I stood three feet in front of them the whole time with eventually no other customers around. All the other food I bought for my daughter and I from another place in the food court is now cold. Manager is unapologetic. I ask if he can give us a couple of water bottles to make good for the now 35 minutes we've been waiting for our food. After trying to dodge the water request with all of his might for a few minutes, he reluctantly says he will only give me one. It took a total of 40 minutes to get two dogs, one of which was blackened/burnt and the other undercooked with gooey dough and slimy hotdog inside. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the manager was even the slightest bit apologetic. What a jerk! Since the last time I visited Kong Dog, the menu now offers spicy tteokbokki, rose tteokbokki, ramen, and coming soon popcorn chicken. I used the self-order kiosk to order the combo of 1 tteokbokki, 2 Kong Dogs, and 1 lemonade for $22.99 with optional additions. I chose the rose tteokbokki with a boiled egg, rainbow kong dog with mozzarella cheese, ramen kong dog with half beef and half mozzarella, and the mango lemonade for $25.99 prior to tax. The rose tteokbokki was good. The sauce was creamy, mildy spicy, flavorful, and the rice cakes were chewy and good texture. There were some fish cakes and chopped herbs. The rainbow kong dog and ramen kong dog are always great. The outside layer is thick and crunchy. The mango lemonade was tangy and sweet (maybe a bit too sweet) at the same time. I was surprised to see this Korean hotdog place in the mall and I was very eager to try it since you can't find anything like this in RI. They had a great selection, the first thing you do is decide on the inside being cheese, half cheese half hotdog, turkey dog etc, Next you choose the exterior such as potato covered, spaghetti Kong dog, Ramen, hot Cheetos (my choice with gooey mozzarella) and many others including Churro style if you desire a sweet choice. I really liked mine as did my son. We also tried their fried dumplings and fries, also very tasty with your choice of chicken or pork filling. The food here is pretty solid, it's by far the best option in the food court. It does seem to take a little long to get your dog, but it's for sure worth it in the end. It's super loud because it's the mall food court, but the food is easily transportable if you wanted to eat it somewhere more quiet. read more

Ultimate junk food! Mall food can go either way, in this case I was pleasantly surprised. Dog options were great, I chose potato covered beef dog with spicy mayo. The experience was great, sat facing the Providence River, that way I felt less of the mall food court vibe. The Kong was pretty good, crunchy on the outside with decent beef dog hiding in the thick layer of crispy potatoes. The sauce was sweet and just spicy enough. Great $7 lunch. read more

I was excited to see this place open in the food court and add a new category of "fast food" options already available. They specialize in Korean style corn dogs and offer 10 options for the outside and 5 options on the inside, allowing you to customize what you're in the mood for. In addition to corn dogs, they also serve up wings, dumplings, fries, and bubble tea. Everything is made to order, so depending on the lines and staffing, you could wait 15+ minutes for your food. They have an organized number paging system so you get notified when your order is up and food is hot. This is my second visit and I'm hoping to be able to try them all at some point, but my favorite so far is the original with cheese. The food itself was very confusing but weirdly tasted good non the less. I got an original Kong dog with half cheese half hotdog choice for the inside with spicy Mayo for the sauce. So first I just want to start by saying everything I had was amazing I had the original kong dog, my son had the hot Cheeto version, kong fries, the taro boba and a slushy. It was soooo good, BUT they need to do better with staffing and wait times, i waited about 30 mins just order then another 15-20 for my food and about 30 mins for my drinks. There is only one cashier who also makes the drinks, and the drinks are made with no sense of urgency, you will have your food 30 mins before your drink is made which takes away from enjoying your meal. The cashier even went to the bathroom and while she was gone no one replaced her which was absolutely ridiculous. One woman just got fed up with waiting and requested a refund.
