Mine are pretty stuffed and full of vinegar etc so I would not recommend saving for later because it could get soggy. However, even soggy, it's still delicious. It comes with a pickle and chips. Lots of table and chair inside and out for seating. It can get pretty packed inside. Even with long lines they get through quickly. This gal loves a sandwich, and finding a real deli? It's like hitting the jackpot! We probably shouldn't have gone on a Saturday--lesson learned--because the line was out the door by a good 10 feet. We waited around 40 minutes just to order, but once we did, our sandwiches were out in about five minutes. Not bad for a place packed with sandwich devotees. With around 70 sandwiches on the menu, this spot is basically a bucket-list deli. We started with the Italian Beef with sausage (name slips my mind, but it's a classic), and wow, was it authentic. The chewy sausage paired with the tender beef was a texture combo dream. If I had one wish, it'd be for a bit more flavor in the au jus, but no complaints from my husband, who literally drank whatever was left over. The options are very wide-ranging, presenting any type of sandwich you could think of, grilled, chilled, dunked, submarine sandwiches, plus other items. We chose the Bourdain, one of their "super sandwiches." It was full of grilled mortadella, bacon, lemon mayo mustard, Swiss, giardiniera, and other ingredients on a garlic-toasted sesame hoagie. It was okay with me, but I still enjoyed my lunch. The sides? Mustard potato salad and jalapeño coleslaw both notably good picks. Service was straight forward and the ambiance was your very typical deli. A counter to order and pay and the rest of the space is just chairs and tables. My only beef with Weinburgers is there are too many options! It is hard to decide! My current favorite is the Green Dragon. It is a pressed Cuban with a serrano salsa. Even eating it cold is delicious. I also really like the Sigmar, but you can't go wrong with roast beef and horseradish. Their sandwiches are typically two meals for me, and they throw in a packet of potato chips and a pickle. Last time I was there, I got two pickles. On a really hot day that IS a treat. Decent prices, delicious sandwiches. Service is on the slower side but understandable considering its popularity. Update: Dan got in contact with me promptly and addressed my concerns in detail. This restored my confidence in continuing to support the business. ----- Food is still great, but unfortunately I had an experience that doesn't sit well with me. I placed an online order on 3/24 and only noticed all the small extra fees after placing the order. I figured it's worth it to skip the long wait. When we arrived to pick up the order, the staff not only didn't have the sandwiches ready, they didn't even know about our order. They only found the ticket after we talked to someone and started making the sandwiches then. They also told us it's better to call in with the order instead of using the website. I happily would have done so, had the website advised me to call. I asked if our online ordering fee and other fees could be refunded since there was no point in ordering online (I had even tipped over $5 on our order of 2 sandwiches and was not even asking for this money back despite the disappointing experience). The staff seemed unable to process such a transaction. They asked me to write my phone number down and said someone would call me. No one has called me. I really would have preferred to give my feedback directly, but I am really disappointed with the lack of follow through. I was such an enthusiastic fan, so this is bittersweet. read more

I ordered the Meatloaf 2.0. So flavorful! The grilled onions, peppers, and just enough of jalapeño to give it some heat, but not to overwhelm! The soft bun isn't huge, which I appreciate, because it usually fills me up faster. The meatloaf melts in your mouth. The deli is small with seating inside and outside. It's busy and can be crowded, which is a good sign. It's not fancy, but it's clean and well lit. There's a section to order and one to pay; signs are nice each. The service is fast. The staff is efficient and friendly , but they have things to do, so make sure you know what you want when you go to order. The sandwich selection is fantastic! WOW! I cannot believe I am ONLY finding out about Weinberger's now. This has got to be the best sandwich place.. and at an amazing price point! The generous amount of ingredients in each sandwich is so consistent. There is not a time you will leave here hungry! The sandwiches are all huge and filled to the brim with delicious flavor. There has never been an uneven bread to filling to sauce ratio - each bite is crafted to perfection! Already ate here 3 times this week; there is so much on the menu to try! I wrote this review years ago and I still stand by every word of it. Weinberger's is still the best sandwich shop in NTX by a country mile. Dan's been running a great show for decades and it shows by the fact he has more than a few employees that have been working there since I wrote my initial review 11 years ago. He takes as much care of his employees as he does his patrons and it shows. Dan Weinberger and Weinberger's Deli remains at the top after all these years. I dare anyone to name a deli in NTX that can come close to what Dan's been doing for decades; you can't. I could talk endlessly about great this place is and how much I love the sandwiches, but I have to disclose the ONLY critique I have and it's the giardiniera. It's too dominant of a flavor and too aggressive of a texture for many of the sandwiches its been added to, namely the Father Dolan's. Father Dolan's was the perfect sandwich before the giardiniera was added. Of course I can just order it without, but it was perfect before it was added. Giardiniera has a very strong flavor and texture that often disrupts the host sandwich more than it complements it and the Father Dolan's is a great example; the coarse and crunchy pickled vegetables only take away from the meats and onion; it finishes like a picked veggie sandwich with deli meats instead of a great combination of two pastramis with corned beef, LTO and Russian dressing. Nothing stands anymore because the giardiniera is so strong. Outside of this, I've not a bad word to say about Weinberger's and I will still continue to eat there and keep it a family tradition. Go to Weinberger's; you won't regret it. read more

My family popped in for lunch, waited in a quick-ish line and can't wait to go back for more. The inside is quaint NY deli, meets Grapevine, TX charm. The menu is overflowing with both traditional and more creative options. My kids ordered hot dogs and gobbled them up along with their chocolate chip cookies.
