I've been going to a different place for the past 4 months since moving to Oak Park. This other place is one block from where I live and even tho you can't beat that convenience, I'm still going to be switching over here because today I had the best pedicure I've had in a long time. I had Sasa and she was wonderful. She was gentle and still thorough. My heels are always awful and she was able to make them extremely smooth without using a blade. She gave me a wonderful leg and foot massage complete with a hot towel and hot stone treatment. My toes look perfect and she did a great job on my polish. My manicure was just as good with a massage and hot towel. There wasn't a long line or large amount of people there when I was at 1pm. But by the time I left it started to fill up. It still wasn't as busy or loud as the previous place I've been going to. I loved the calm and clean atmosphere. I also loved that there was no tv! Next time I'm going to get a no chip and maybe a deep tissue massage. My deluxe mani pedi was only $50 total! I'm happy to say I've found my new spot. read more

This place was my favorite, not anymore. It's still reasonably priced and peaceful so I gave it 3 stars. I got a manicure here once, but the lady cut me, so never again. I received several pedicures here, but the younger girls seem to not care about how hard they file your feet. One lady began filing my feet and proceeded to look away and stare off into the fish tank, I'm pretty sure you should look at what you're doing especially if you are filing skin. Several times there was paint on my skin that needed to be cleaned off. Too many missteps from them so i'll look elsewhere. read more

I used to love this place but unfortunately as other clients are saying every time you go you could be subject to a new employee, they don't speak to you but keep talking Chinese. For waxing they were great but decided to used the room for something else so now they do it in a dark tiny corner; no privacy at all. Sorry but I'll be looking for a new place next time read more

I have heard alot of great reviews about this place so I decided to give it a try and let me tell you it was nothing special. They did just an okay on my pedicure, with some of my nails not even being filed straight. Their prices are more expensive, but I figured for a good message and good pedicure why not splurge a little. I asked about their massages and of course it cost extra (so fine, I'll pay it) meanwhile the massage consisted of the lady doing my pedicure staring off into space while petting my feet, and one time pushed on the bottom of my sole for the grand finish, let's just put it this way if that "message" was free it would be just okay, but since I had to pay extra for it, it was a waste. I was confused on how they could call that a massage. Nothing special or grand and it was like any other random nail place you see on every other corner. read more

I've been having my nails done for over 20 years. This is absolutely the best place I've been to. It truly is a little spa without paying the spa dollars. The spa is clean, great lighting, colors and atmosphere. It is not a loud place, but a place you can truly relax while being pampered. In addition, they offer the complimentary, wonderful JuJu Bee water! The staff is gentle and takes their time doing both manicures and pedicures....they also give you a nice little massage on the feet/legs and hands/arms which is standard with their service. I still need to try their full body massages, but if they are anything like their other services, I know I won't be disappointed. read more

Out of all the Oak Park nail salons, especially the newer ones, I think this place is the best:-) I particularly enjoy a peaceful, calm setting when I go to get my nails done. This is the loveliest group of people attending to your every need here! Amanda is wonderful and even sewed my dress strap back together when it randomly broke! She remembers me and my family every time I come in, and I always feel better after leaving. The pedicure is not rushed and is really well done. In addition, the spa is well maintained and clean. The 1st few times I came here the pedicure was great, from the leg massage to the color to the place, but recently I've been disappointed. The last few times I've gotten the pedi it's been just ok. The chick (young) giving me the pedi was WAY too rough on my feet when exfoliating, I mean she went to town on them like she was angry at someone, and to top it off she looked away while doing it (into the fish tank). I even flinched a few times, not wanting to complain, but she just kept on going. The leg massage was still great, and the color was average as i had to ask her afterwards to clean it up (nail polish on my skin). I also got a manicure here once, it was not pleasant, she cut me at one point and I flinched, then she gave me a shocked look when she saw me bleeding, in my head i'm like "yes, YOU cut me, don't act surprised." I also never see any new polish colors (like seasonal colors, holiday polishes, etc). I won't be coming back, sorry Well-Come Spa, your leg massages are great, but not enough to bring me back. read more

I've been going to Well-Come Spa for years and always had a pleasant experience until the last time. I got a mani/pedi and it was really rushed. The nail tech, someone I hadn't seen there before, cut my toe nails much too short. The leg massage didn't last long either. The mani was nice with the exception of the almost non-existent massage. They were not busy while I was there. No idea why I was rushed. More attention needs to be paid to the customer. read more

I read Deb M's review and it all sounded familiar except one thing; I loved the massage. Yes, it was deep and I usually don't want or like a deep massage, but it was the perfect blend for me. It was very relaxing and everyone made an effort to keep me happy and comfortable. I go here fairly often and have always been very satisfied with their services. I would recommend it to anyone. I have been going to Welcome Spa since it opened and have always received excellent service. Needed a last minute mani/pedi but they were closed for vacation (can't blame them after working 7 days a wk all year)tried another nail salon which was just ok. but not like Welcome Spa. Thought I found an amazing place. .and after my first visit I was very pleased. Amanda is very friendly and definitely decided to come again. My sister and I get pedicures every 1-2 weeks and have been there a total of 4 times. The 10 minute massage was great (the first time around) they don't rush the pedi, but the last time I went I was very disappointed. My sister and I sat next to each other and the techs laughed to each other after she asked for her massage. Did the same after I asked for mine. I don't particularly mind if they talk to each other but I didn't know what was so funny about making extra money. We always tip well and the last time I feel like I shouldn't have tipped at all. Paid for extra FOOT massage and the tech touched top of my foot for 30 seconds at most. The rest she just rubbed my calf while chit chatting with other tech. . Don't think I'll be back there again. the only reason I'll give 2 stars is because wax (by amanda) was very good. If it wasn't for her, it would definitely be 1 star. Maybe she should look into employees with better work ethic. read more

Having lived in Oak Park for 19 yrs, I have had many mani-pedi's. This was by far the BEST mani pedi I have ever had, ever. If you are short on time, maybe let the technician know, as I was there for 1 hr 45 mins! And it was fabulous. The attention to detail (filing, cuticle removal, nail color,...), the pampering (hot towels, beautifully scented lotions and potions, massage chairs, the massage (leg, foot, arm and hand massage), the overall gentle approach (the perfect amt of communication, quiet environment),...I have never experienced such joy. The hand and foot massages were out of this world as the technicians apply reflexology technique which extend beyond the normal 3 minute leg rub down at other salons. The salon was incredibly clean, soft and quiet--no tv blaring, no surreal meditation music, no bantering between technicians while you sit there unaware of the conversation. The atmosphere was comfortable, pleasant and relaxing. I highly recommend this salon, and ask for Tracy, she is the only "tracy" there. This is my new salon, for many years to come. read more

I went for a manicure and pedicure with the 10-minute foot massage yesterday. Overall, the quality of the services was all right. The manicure and pedicure look good and my legs felt physically more relaxed after the massage. However, I am not one to naturally feel relaxed when others are pampering me and the attitude of the women did not help. The woman working on my pedicure seemed bored and more interested in chatting with her co-workers than attending closely to her work. When she was taking the dead skin off my foot, she swiped a few times on non-dead skin due to inattentiveness, and there were one or two small areas that she missed. During a few exchanges with a co-worker and the owner, I saw a lot of eye rolls and what looked like gossiping about the boss. Perhaps this is just me, but I tense up around that kind of behavior and it had a negative impact on my experience. I will consider going here again because it is very convenient for me, but I know now not to expect to walk out feeling fully relaxed and rejuvenated. read more

I've been coming here for years for pedicures and have always been a fan of this place but after today I will be finding a new salon. They have their pedicure priced at $32. I have always gotten a sea salt scrub for an additional $10. I somehow walked out of there paying $55. When I inquired about the cost they told me it was an additional $17 for the scrub. So where did my other $6 go? Not happy with the ridiculous increase in pricing at all, that is not clearly posted anywhere. And then when I went to get my punch card punched I asked for them to punch for both my sister and I and they tried to give me some BS that since we didn't pay together that they couldn't do that. I returned shortly after to talk to the manager because I didn't understand why I was charged so much. She stated it was $23 total for the scrub, which was not what she previously told my sister. She was defensive and started to get rude with me. They just lost loyal customers. read more

I chose this nail salon based on all the great reviews from Yelp. I needed to get a manicure and pedicure for my wedding. I had made an appt. a week in advance for myself, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law. We had an appt for 2 pm, I had my wedding rehearsal at 5pm. This should have been plenty of time to get our nails done and get to the rehearsal. We were not seen by a nail technician until 3:30 and this was after I had to ask when we would be seen as we had to make it to my rehearsal. Once we were actually getting our manicures and pedicures, all of our technicians kept leaving during the service. I have never had a technician just leave me during a service. I also wasn't crazy about the salon set up as their are walls dividing the stations and I wasn't able to talk to my mother or sister-in-law. While I was getting my nails done my technician kept complaining how hungry she was, which leads me to believe that she kept leaving me to eat. We again mentioned that we were on a time constraint but nobody in the salon seemed to care. Our nails were almost done and my sister-in-laws technician left her again. My sister-in-law asked if her service was done and if we were ready to go since her technician left. She come back and said no, and my sister-in-law said that she could not leave because we were now in a severe time crunch as it was 445. I found this place unprofessional and the work they did was average. I will never come here again. read more

I live near this place and saw it a few months ago; but had forgotten about it. Today I needed a pedicure, so I took my little girl with me to get her nails polished as well. I. loved. this place. The pedicure was about 45 minutes and I passed on the massage portion because we had to go to a ballet class. It was great; no blades were in the vicinity at all! My cuticles were meticulously softened and removed, no pain at all. No cuts, no wincing, I have very sensitive feet and normally get tickled---that didn't happen either. My feet felt great, and they look fantastic. My little girl got her nails polished, and the woman took about 20 minutes to overlay two colors and was very nice and direct with my daughter. She's 4 and asks a lot of questions, she was so accommodating to her. Very pleasant experience, and the hot tea was a nice touch. I have some foot issues, so I am very interested in trying the Chinese foot soak they offer and I definitely want to try a no-chip manicure. I think I've finally found a place that doesn't herd you in and out, with a relaxing environment, and good prices. read more
