I've had some great experiences here, but also some less than great ones too. I've always had excellent manicure services from here. The service is quick and polite, and you usually don't have to wait long. The tea here is an interesting kind of good. Give it a try! Also reasonably priced. The negative experience was with the pedicures. I went with my husband for pedicures a few weeks ago and was pretty disappointed. The polish on my nails started to fall off after 2 days. They missed some fairly large areas of dead skin on my heels as well. They really rushed my husbands pedicure, so much that they ripped out the ENTIRE cuticle (ie all the way around) on his big toe of one foot. Ouch! I didn't even know that was possible. He ended up with a painful, infected cuticle while were on our beach vacation. Very disappointing. I noticed that they also cut his nails really irregularly/crooked. This was his first pedicure (and now most likely his last after that experience). Maybe they don't think men's services are as important. read more

I love this place! Having been a loyal customer to Pinky Nail when I lived in the city, I didn't know what to expect. Well, this place blows Pinky Nail out of the water. My regular nail place, it is convenient and close to home and they are open 7 days a week now which is awesome. They are very thorough with the pedicures and they're a good deal for $28. And the no chip manicures I get here seem to last longer than anywhere else. Usually 3 weeks. Only I have I ever had to come in within the 7 days to get mine fixed. Mason is the best at them! They have gotten a lot more no chip colors since I started coming a few years ago also. Yes, there are no TVs, but I like the quietness. And yes, they're not super chatty with you, but sometimes I like to relax. The jujube tea they give is great too. Lovely place with nice people :-) read more

The worst manicure I've ever received! I left because it was before it was over. The guy didn't wrap my hands like everyone else's he also clipped my finger and it wouldn't stop bleeding and he said it was my fault because there was a scab there. When I asked him why my hands didn't get wrapped he said it's the same thing. I have not been to that many places with which to compare this one, and that is the only reason this is a 4-star and not a 5-star review. I have been there twice, once for reflexology (foot massage) and once for both reflexology as well as deep tissue massage. Both of my experiences were wonderful. For the foot massage, I once had the slightly older gentleman (someone's dad) and for the other I had a young lady. I felt the gentleman was able to penetrate and get to the points better; maybe the young lady didn't have enough strength in her fingers. But when I then moved to the room to get the deep tissue massage, she was definitely able to put the power into it and gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had...and I have had a few. She was extremely thorough and professional, and really put the effort into it. She first worked over the sheet, then removed it for probably the last 20 minutes or so. The rooms don't have walls that go all the way up to the ceiling, so you can hear people outside. That did not, however, affect my relaxation, because the massage was just that good. read more

The staff wasn't particularly friendly or talkative - not that I came to chat, but I expected to have a couple of lines of conversation about what I wanted done or how things were going. The folks helping me either didn't speak English or didn't want to. They only spoke to each other in a language I don't understand. My attendee did an ok job on my pedicure but nothing special. The location also wasn't in the best spot, wasn't the most pleasant atmosphere (no movies, tv, music - nothing for ambiance), and could have been better ventilated. Overall a passable place for a pedi but not somewhere I'd return unless I had to. read more

Romiesha T. I am so sorry you had a bad experience. I'm Black and have been going to Well-Come Spa for at least 4 years after trying several other spas in the community. I have always been treated very nice, professionally, and offered tea or water. I have even brought other Black friends and they too enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. Perhaps the nail tech may have been stressed. I have witnessed a customer not liking a color or the way a nail looked and they gladly did it over or changed the color. Well-Come Spa offers custom care and aims to please each customer. The place is spotless! They use clean, fresh towels for each new process of nail care. All of their tools are sterilized and each tech will assist another tech when needed. I agree with Sarah F. If you can, make an appointment and try Well-Come Spa. read more

They do mediocre work that's better than some of the other fast nail salons, they do charge a little bit more but I was OK with that. They gave me a punchcard for my pedicures, it says manicures on it but I've never had a manicure, so every time I went in they punched it. At the end of the punch card there is a free service that you are supposed to get. I went in there yesterday and it was time for my free service and they told me that it was not going to be free because it was a card for manicures, they punched it every time I had a pedicure, I've never had a manicure and this is the card that they gave me. If I could rate this zero stars I would. I've been going to Well-Come for years. I loved that the technicians and owner were professional and took their time, offering tea and providing wonderful pedicures. I was there a few weeks ago and the pedicure was rushed and sloppy. But the manicurist took it to a whole different level. The man's hands were dirty, his own nails long and filthy. How can you possibly represent your business like this? I told him he needed to attend to his own nails. I should've walked out but didn't. He proceeded to clip his nails at the station. Barf. This place is clearly under new and substandard management. The young woman had her feet up on a manicure table and was texting. This place needs a health department investigation. Okay the honeymoon is over. I've been here enough to get two punch cards filled... I'm afraid little miss "Amanda" (I only know her name because of the reviews here) may be a little color struck. I've tried to deny it but I can't any longer. Somehow she wasn't around when I first started frequenting this spa... But aside from her cold treatment, I'm also disappointed that the quality is a crapshoot (i.e. I shouldn't have to keep asking every visit for another coat because the nail polish is transparent... the nail polish is thinner these days). It's clear that my search for a good nail salon is not over... I pay too much and tip too well to be mistreated by the queen bee who seems so engaged when speaking with "other" (wink-wink) customers. One example: I accept "Amanda's" offer for tea and then wait as she asked the "other" ladies if they wanted refills (it's about 4 of us in the entire spa)). She then proceeds to serve them refills and then gives me tea after the lady next to me tells her, "Oh I could have waited for my refill after you served her." Naughty "Amanda." But maybe she was having another bad day, right? Wrong... I returned today and intentionally initiated a conversation with her by asking about the plant she was tending... she frowned as if she didn't understand me and spoke to the one doing my nails in her native tongue... in unison all of the young ladies translated in english what I'd said... she rolled her eyes, walked away from the window toward the register, and stopped to engage her "other" customer who asked the same question I'd just asked and they had a very lovely exchange about what type of plant it was and how it wasn't edible.. so on and so forth... hmmmm... I'm not sure what little miss Amanda's issue may be but it's only one color that matters to me right now and it's clear she's had enough of my green. read more

I visited for the first time yesterday, and I'm sold. I had a mani-pedi, 30 minutes of reflexology and a one-hour massage for only $148 (not including tips). All services were done with keen attention to detail and professionalism. They were kind to me on a very chilly day, so I felt warmed inside and out. A young lady did my manicure and pedicure. She was very great about not tickling the bottom of my feet with the exfoliator - she made all necessary adjustments with her technique to make sure it was a pleasant experience. The polish application was exceptional, and she didn't need to spend a lot of time cleaning up any smudges in the creases. She was very, very careful and polite. Best mani-pedi experience I've had in Oak Park. A kind gentleman performed Chinese Reflexology for 30 minutes (and I will definitely be back for the 60 minute session next month). It begins with a medicinal, warm foot bath and shoulder massage. Then he works on each foot. For novices, you should note that proper Reflexology requires the Reflexologist to apply sharp, intense pressure on any key areas of your foot that are tender. Those points relate to areas on your body that need a "tune-up". Your patience with the process is rewarded with a hot stone foot massage after. Forgive me for using this word again, but it truly was an exceptional experience. Just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any better, the lovely woman who gave me a massage was probably the very best masseuse I've ever experienced. I have had massages at big-deal spas in NYC, the Loop, Toronto and Virginia, some by men, and she was stronger and more insightful than any of them. She has a gift from God. I asked for a Swedish massage, so that I could become experienced with her style, but needed a deep tissue massage. She realized that and took great care of me appropriately. She begins the massage over the sheet, and later used warm oil for the deep knots. She doesn't hold back at all - it may cause some people concern, but you shouldn't be because she really knows what she is doing. She uses her hands, arms, legs - it's an incredible amount of great work for her. The sensation I get after a deep tissue manipulation is euphoria. The Swedish portions are so good you will have goosebumps. She has realigned my shoulders, problem areas between my shoulder blades and a bad ache in my lower back. I feel two inches taller! Today I feel like I've had a vigorous work-out, and that is exactly how I should feel. Wonderful! They do not have a shower, but will clean you up with towels. Before I left, she had me sit down and gave me the most delicious tea. I wish I had some right now. This spa is humble in size, and that's fine with me. It's very clean and they do not skimp on hot water or hot moist towels. I loved the fish tank. I spent four hours there and time flew by. Brilliant day. Go. read more

I had back surgery in 2006. Since then, I have tried various physical therapies, doctors and massaging devices for the consequences of the surgery to no avail. Depression started to kick in too. This past weekend, I decided to try Well Come Spa for a foot reflexology appointment. When I arrived, I told her my situation and Amanda quickly suggested that I do a full body massage. After a few minutes on the table, she realized how bad my condition was and commenced to kneading away at all the kinks in my body. She understood the pain that I have been trying to articulate to doctors and other massage therapist. She genuinely cared and had sympathy for what I have been living with for the past 5 years. Our bodies are very adaptable and sometimes we don't realize the level of pain we are in until it is crippling or until we find some significant relief. After my appointment, Amanda has given me that immediate relief. I can look forward to better days with less pain. I'm sure it will take a number of sessions before I get long term results, but after that first one, it looks very very promising. The next day after my massage, I still felt very limber and I noticed an increase in my energy level and productivity. I am so happy to have found Amanda. Truly heaven sent!! This is a wonderful place. I have been coming all summer for mani/pedis and it is just heavenly. Once you come here you won't want to go anywhere else. They are extremely meticulous and detailed and you can tell they take great pride in their work. It is a family owned business. I looked this place up on yelp because while I am from the Oak Park area, I no longer live in the OPA. I saw that it had good reviews and the pricing seemed on par with what I would expect, so I decided to check it out on 01/31/14 When it comes to service businesses, I have high expectations. This place met them all. It was clean, they were very polite, patient, accommodating and the nail technician that I had, Mason was skilled. She removed my no chip manicure very methodically and she groomed, buffed and beautified my nails like an expert. The place had a decent amount but not too many people, clean bathrooms, and everyone had pleasant demeanors. I will definitely return to this place and I will request MASON because she was great and very pleasant. read more

Amanda, the owner, cares about her business, but she should leave the manicures and pedicures to the people that work for her. I've seen her a few times and I say I want my nails rounded, she always does them short and square. She is incredibly rushed and rough with the pedicures, but she still takes an hour because she is usually in mid-conversation or getting up to tend to the business. This last time I went she starts to roughly microplane the side of my foot because she's not paying attention to what she's doing. Twice now, I've left with a cut on the TOP of my foot. The whole pedicure / manicure costs $38 plus tip plus a meter for two hours. For $50 and two hours, not worth the time and money. read more

I went to Well Come one day when I wanted to get a no-chip manicure as a treat. I have tried other nail places around Oak Park and always had bad experiences (it seems that most places get you in and out as fast as they can and all they really do is paint your nails even if you pay extra for 'spa' mani/pedi) I was pleasantly surprised at Well Come. The atmosphere is very soothing - no blaring TV just nice relaxing music and soft lighting. The girl who did my nails took great care to make sure the cuticles and filing was perfect. I left very happy and intended to come back. Unfortunately, within about a day my no-chip manicure began to chip/peel off. I got the manicure on a Friday and by Monday there were large chips in almost every nail. By Thursday I had to go in and have it removed because it looked so terrible. I was extremely disappointed - between the manicure and the $10 charge to have it removed, I spent over $60, and it didn't even last as long as it would have if I had done my own nails! The ambience and staff are nice and I would probably go back for a pedicure, but I would absolutely never go back for a manicure. It was a complete waste of money - I'm usually not a demanding customer but I was actually considering asking for my money back! read more

Been meaning to write a review for some time now on this Spa. My experience is limited to Pedicures, but I have had many here, and have always had an outstanding experience. The atmosphere is serene and welcoming, the large fish tank in the corner is beautiful and mezmerising. You are always greeted with a smile, but I warn you that you might have to wait a little while if you don't book ahead...even just an hour or so ahead if you know you want a service. The popularity of this place is growing, and they are getting busier. The staff always greets you with a smile and a sincerely warm welcome. Offering water, coffee or tea, which is kind of rare in a "walk in" nail spa, but this place offers so much more. I can't wait to try other services. They have a vast color supply to choose from, as well as many of the new OPI collection colors. The pedicure massage portion is the best I have ever had. They spend quite a bit of time with the oil and massage portion, going all the way up to your knees. At first, I was wondering if they booked me for a more expensive pedicure, but no, this is all part of the basic $28.00 price. I highly recommend this Spa. It's a gem in SE Oak Park. read more

Well Come Spa is my go-to place for my need - to - treat myself mani pedi. They offer many services, but I usually go with a no chip manicure and a pedi. They offer extra massages for a few dollars more, but they spend such a long time massaging my legs and arms, I feel very spoiled without having to tack another service on. The girls here are very nice, polite, and the place is very clean. They have a decent selection of colors, mostly OPI and essie. I recommend calling before dropping in... they're usually pretty busy. read more

This is such a great little nail place! I've gone to Well-Come probably a dozen times and I've always been really happy when I left. This is not a typical "one of those" nail shops. They are very thorough and the experience is actually relaxing. Plan to spend a good 90 minutes here if you are getting a mani/pedi. They are always accommodating and they are open early and stay open late. I just love this salon! They go above and beyond any other salon I've been to. They provide great services, not least among them, the pleasant, helpful, friendly owners and staff. I can relax, and enjoy the service, instead of being fearful that I will be hurt in any way. Best. Massage. Ever. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to share what a great experience I had here yesterday. I have had a LOT of massages, including several here in Oak Park, but this place takes the cake. I woke up in a lot of pain yesterday, and after reading the other reviews, tried Well-Come on a whim. I called and was able to get an appointment, and while they took me a little bit late (which she was profusely apologetic for), it was worth the wait. I asked for a deep-tissue massage, and it was different from any other one I've ever gotten (I have never had someone dig their knees into my calves and hamstrings but it was awesome). I feel like Amanda took a lot of time on each and every sore muscle, and today I feel so much better. I think it lasted a little over an hour (maybe to make up for being a little late?), and for $75 when others around here charge more for way less, I felt like it was a steal. When it was over, she asked "that was your first time here?" And I said, "Yep, but not my last!" Seriously, I probably never would have walked into Well-Come just seeing it from the outside, but I'm so glad I did! Sweet people, sweet place! read more

DO NOT GO HERE They do not know what they are doing. They damaged my nails by trying to file off my gel manicure instead of soaking it off. Almost making me bleed and making my nails so thin. Don't bother to make a reservation because they don't honor it once you get there. If you reserve a time be prepared to wait a half hour before they get to you. Also the last time I was there I had a Mail technician do my nails and my fingers were bleeding and he said it was my fault. Also they let some of the hands soak in some kind of net and he said I didn't need it. Also I find the Nail technicians to be extremely rude and not welcoming. read more

This is the ONLY affordable spa for nails and massage that will spend an hour on your feet for $28. It is a charming, peaceful family owned business and they treat their staff and customers like family. The space is clean, decorated tastefully and quiet (lovely music and no clients yelling on cell phones) and they always offer complimentary medicinal teas. I was there yesterday and after the lady owner ascertained that I was more stressed than usual she gave me a complimentary head and shoulder massage during my manicure.
