My third time to this wonderful little place today and I feel compelled to write a review, because business was a bit slow when I was in and I would be so sad if they don't do well enough to stay open. I stumbled upon the place one day when I headed into Oak Park to look for a pedicure and Spa O couldn't accommodate a walk in. I was so charmed by the warmth of the family who runs the business, and was so relaxed when I left with gorgeous nails, that I decided this was the only place I would come from now on. The prices are great, especially given the time and attention that they give each customer - each time I've felt like a guest in their home rather than a customer. Not only have I gotten wonderful pedicures here, but today I got a chair massage that really worked out the kink I had in my neck all day. And after the massage I was invited to relax and drink a cup of tea before going back out into the cold hard world. Not fancy (by which I mean you don't feel like you need to have your hair and makeup done just to come in) but so much nicer than your typical walk-in place that smells of chemicals. Wow-like walking into a friend's home-lovely people, peaceful place-great waxing-so patient and she made sure every little hair was taken care of. Warm Tea was a nice touch -and no annoying nail polish smell. I got a mani-pedi and waxing and qualified for a 20 minute massage. Clean spa with reasonable priced services. Staff always sweet and accommodating. The "water" is tea mandating an acquired taste, which you will gain after every sip! They do great job on little girls nails, too, so head on in with your mini-me and give yourselves both a treat. My BFF took our daughter and her step daughter here for a mani/pedi day on Feb. 20th. We let the girls get there hands and toes painted. Cool. We asked for pricing on getting a no chip and pedicure and they quoted us $66. Cool. We even asked if it included the removal of our previous no chip, they said yes. However, when they began to remove the no chip they said it was going to be an extra $5. I said that isn't what you quoted me, they ended up not charging the $5 (which I couldn't understand anyway!). I must say this isn't my normal salon, I usually go downtown. Anyway they have a one week if your nails chip you can come back to get it repaired. So my nail breaks on the 6th day and my BFF had two chip nails by day 5. Now day 9 I have two nails that have begin to bubble! Never has that happen before. They even encouraged us to use the CNI Polish because they claimed it was "better" than OPI (my normal brand). Needless to say I will NEVER patronize this location again. They're over priced and it isn't good quality. read more

Very calming, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff are so friendly! I got just a standard manicure, and it lasted waaaay longer than manis usually do. They also do a great job with kids. My 5-year-old wanted to get her nails done, so I brought her with me once. They gave her the full "big girl" treatment, and painted little flowers on her nails too. And I was charged less for her, even though her nails took just as long as mine. She had a great time. read more

Love this place! They are all about the health of your nails and what is best for you not only to upsell services. They carry Essie, OPI and CND in all the latest colors without diluting them! The space is clean and very Zen. They have warm task lighting not sterile fluorescents which is awesome. The staff is friendly and don't make you feel like they're talking about you. Decor is warm neutral colors so even men feel welcome. They offer you water or hot tea which is great. The equipment and furniture are well kept not ripped or smelly. The put the old cotton balls with nail polish remover in capped containers! Great attention to detail! Everything is washed right away, they even let your feet soak a little before the scrub and wash and disinfect the tools. I actually really appreciated that because the scrub was a lot more effective and I knew that the tools are sanitized. Great place! read more

A friend had recommended Well-Come spa to me, and although it was a little out of the way, it is now the only place I will go! The staff is wonderful, professional & accommodating to your needs. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. I have been getting my manicures & pedicures there now for months. One day I decided to treat myself to a one hour deep tissue massage, I needed it! I did not experience anything negative during this hour, it was exactly what I had hoped it would be & more. I left feeling as if my body was completely rid of all my knots! Amanda was completely professional and understood the process of giving a deep tissue massage. I felt her work through the layers of my muscles and she did an amazing job. The key to a good deep tissue is communication, we all have different bodies and if it is painful for you, you should speak up! I visited and received services on Sunday (2/10/2013) by sheer accident! My regular salon for services was closed in observance of the Chinese New Year... I am YELPING to the top of my lungs the pros: 1. EXCELLENT SERVICE 2. INVITING ATMOSPHERE 3. FRIENDLY and PATIENT STAFF AND yes, I MUST YELP to the top of my lungs the cons: 1. OVER PRICED I honestly felt that I had been 'nickeled and dimed'...I received a no-chip mani and a pedicure. Imagine the look on my face when I was told I had to PAY EXTRA for them to remove (soak off) the no chip residue that I had from my regular salon...WAIT, if I had come here originally and had to have it removed...does it matter OR just an excuse to charge extras? THAT one reason alone, is why I will never return!!!! You don't charge extra for something that is normally done in the process!!! I've been frequenting Well Come Spa for over a year now. Their hours are very good-7 days a week with evening hours. It's wonderful to be able to pop in for a mani/pedi. Even on busy days there is never much of a wait. I love the mani/pedis and the massages that are included are great. I leave feeling rejuvenated. At my last visit, I arrived with a nasty, painful, raw blister on my heel. Amanda said she could fix it. She wasn't kidding!!! She applied a powder antiseptic that removed the pain INSTANTLY. I have been coming to this SPA for a body massage these years and always have Amanda work on my back pain. She is a very nice, friendly and considerate lady who truly cares about your health condition. After my visit after time, I feel much relaxed, especially for my neck and shoulder. She really knows how to ease muscle cramps through chakras and adjusts pressure of massage depending on your condition. This place has been my favorite SPA after living in Oak Park for three years. 2 stars for the price of a manicure 18 bucks.(A no chip is 38 bucks where I've gotten them done before it's 25 so for me the no chip is super expensive.) BUT!!!! After reading some reviews I decided to check it out everytime I pass by I always was intrigued by the word "spa" I always thought oooooo must be a relaxing atmosphere and soothing smells and great lighting etc. But after stepping into the establishment though the back door it sounded like a flea market in there. Everybody talking, running through the isle people bumping into each other. Gave me a bit of anxiety. It's not a small place but it's not a HUGE place either. A guy greeted me and asked me what I needed, he pointed to the colors and asked me to pick a color. After my deliberation I sat down and about 5 min later a young girl asked me what I needed and pointed me to her station. I didn't really understand what she was telling me nor could I hear her with her super low voice in that congested nail salon. I told her I had a no chip on and she looked annoyed and started speaking in her language to someone else about it maybe? She then brought a bowl of idk what and pushed my hand down into it, it felt weird and it was hot it hurt me a bit. Then she was gone for like a whole five minutes. I was sitting there with pain and no idea how long I should have had my hands in there. I got my mani and eyebrows done, but I will not be coming back. Everybody is talking to each other in a different language makes you feel like they're talking about you and it's constant, I mean I've been to different nail salons and they do the same but it's like remarks here and there not LOUD convos. Great mani and pedi with Ivy today. My first time there and am very happy with both services. My feet look and feel great and so do my hands. Ivy is a very nice girl. The salon is clean and very comfortable and I was able to get right in on a Sunday morning. They got very busy, so I'm glad I got there not too long after they opened. I've been to Well Come Spa a few times now, and their service is superb! I have sensitive cuticles so I appreciate that they take their time and are not rough. Parking is accessible with street parking and a parking lot next door and it's right off the Blue Line Oak Park stop. Oh, and another plus - their prices are pretty cheap compared to others in the area! Had my first gel manicure here. The $38 price seems a little more than other places but the quality and service was good. Ive seen some good Groupon deals for cheaper, lets see how long it lasts, they saw 2 weeks. Theres a sign saying they guarantee no chip within 7 days & receipt so may take advantage if need be. The only thing I didnt like is the constant chatting from the staff, cant understand them which adds to the distraction. The place is cute and the music relaxing but not a peaceful spa atmosphere. All the convenience of a drop in salon with the quality and service of a full service nail spa. Call for an appointment -- I have always been able to get on same day. Mani, pedi, waxing and massage offered. They use a high quality no chip that looks good and lasts, but comes off easily when you're ready. No abrasive soaking, no electric files. There is an attention to detail and relaxing atmosphere here that so many salons just don't offer anymore. It costs a little more, but for my money, I am thrilled ti finally find a place that offers the extra pampering that I've been missing. read more

This place was highly recommended by an acquaintance. I spent 2 hours there, 1 hour with pedicure (polish hadn't even come one yet) and the remaining time getting a no-chip manicure. I was charged $73 bucks and my nail polish was too sheer. I asked for a 3rd coat and the tech said, "If you want". I visited this place for the first time this afternoon, badly in need of a stress-relieving massage. I requested a 60 minute swedish massage, but Amanda must have noticed that I was in need of a little extra care, because she gave me almost 90 minutes of deep tissue work, and explained that she will sometimes provide this service without being asked, because she realizes that many people are too afraid of it being painful, even though they need this in order to fully release tense muscles. I never found the pressure to be unbearable, or else I would have spoken up, and I appreciated that Amanda still only charged me for what I had initially requested. She would have been worth the higher cost of the deep tissue service, though; she's the first massage therapist I've ever visited to ever successfully work all the knots out of my upper back and shoulders! The warm cup of tea after my massage was a nice, comforting touch as well, and very appreciated before the trip back into the cold. From here on out, whenever I'm feeling the need for a massage splurge, this is where I will be going! read more

Well-come spa was a fantastic spa, we called and got appointments the day before, and were reasonably priced! There was a special with the 60 minute deep tissue massage (30 minute feet massage included) I never felt so calm and peaceful and rejuvenated! Please do not go here for a bikini wax! They double dip the stick in the wax which can spread STDs and the tech used no gloves! And the result was horrible! Lets just say it looked like a lawn mowed wrong! I had to go home and fix it with a razor. The pedicure was not good either. My feet sat in plain standing still water with no bubbles. Not bad, I've gotten few manicures here, they are a bit more pricey than other places in the area and they don't really do anything that other places don't. The staff was friendly and the girl doing my manicure did a solid job. They also offer a pretty cool loyalty program punch card after like 5 or 6 manicures you get a free one. read more
