Contacted this company for well covers. Spoke with a sales associate and compared prices. The associate gave me a great deal and we discussed terms/services. Well covers and a basic cleaning were agreed at a competitive price. Installer shows up on time, was very professional ,and worked fast as well. I tipped him too just because I was happy it was done. I should have verified the work before I tipped him. The covers look great but the well wasn't cleaned. I contacted the company to see if someone would come back to finish what I paid for. The associate I spoke with states that the cleaning wasn't in the work order so I would have to pay more to have it done and schedule an appointment. I explained that I still have the text confirmation from the sales rep that clearly states the well cleaning was to be included. I can understand the installer not knowing that if it wasn't in the work order. No big deal, even if it would be a couple weeks before they could come back. But no, I was told that it didn't matter what we agreed to or what I paid for... if the cleaning was not in the work order it would not be done. No wiggle room, no discount for inconvenience, no higher-up to correct the situation. Not even an attempt. I've worked in customer service so I'm always as nice as I can be because I understand the position. But where is the actual service?? In black and white, on paper (text message) I have the sales rep confirming a service to be performed for a set price. I paid more than that price (tip) and did not get the what I was promised in return. If it wasn't included I could have gone with a different company initially. Seems like a bait and switch with no recourse. Sales rep pulls you in, guarantees a product, you get shafted on the service, and no one is available to make it right. My neighbors just got a new patio and wanted well covers to complete the look. I could have very easily recommended this company, but why would I? Simple business concept, happy customers bring more customers. Even more simple, people should get what they pay for if thats what you sold them on. How is this even legal? How do you not even attempt to make it right. I didn't ask for anything free, I just wanted what I paid for. As a business, how do you not even try? There is no way they care about their reputation. I worked with Chris to get a quote for window well covers and basement windows. He was great to work with. I also had a unique situation in that my egress well was too short at the bottom leaving soil to come into the well. The builder had originally filled this void with a thin piece of metal which had since rusted, caved in and no longer served its purpose. Chris suggested that perhaps a riser could be built to be put at the bottom of the well instead of the standard application at the top of the well. He said he would send their employee Geronimo, who was an expert installer, to assess my situation and see what could be done. Long story short, Geronimo was able to fabricate and install a riser onsite that filled the void at the bottom of my well and solved the problem! Additionally, he installed 3 windows, 5 well covers and an egress ladder. I had previously talked to other window well cover companies and water proofing specialists and no one had a cost effective solution for my short well problem except for Well Experts! They are fairly priced, do great work and have a courteous professional staff! I love that they are a one stop shop for window well covers, windows, egress ladders, etc. read more

We provided Well Experts with the dimensions and construction of our window well, were provided a quote, and hired them. They came out and did the work, and it looks ok. But they charged my credit card for 28% more than our agreed upon price. They said that the reasons was they used more material for the windows, despite us telling them in advance that the well was made of brick. We had no way of knowing that bricks would require more material. They did. My problem with the company is with their customer service. We were never notified of the increase in price until they tried to sneak it on our credit card. Our salesman did not notify us. The person who did the installation did not tell us. The company did not call to explain the situation to us. When we brought it to their attention, they made no attempt to remediate the situation. It appears to me that they give low-ball quotes and then try to sneak in outrageous price increases. read more

I agree with the other review that said their experiencing with Well Expert was frustrating. They took longer than any other company to get back to me with a quote. I requested an e-mail quote, but got a phone quote instead and a long lecture on why their competitors have no idea what they're doing. I was polite and said that I preferred to research companies on my own and again asked for an emailed quote, at which time the rep got loud and said she didn't think they would do my job anyway. Wellexpert installed basement windows. They worked out nice..however, the installer pulled on wires connected to a drain pipe which loosend a joint and caused a slow leak behind drywall. A week later, after much troubleshooting, finally opened the drywall and spotted the dripping. The wall and carpet are ruined. The owner refuses to cooperate with us and help pay the cost. She was adament that they did not cause the damage.I was like, what else loosened the pipe? I asked at least chck with the installer if he pulled on pipe. He admitted pulling on wires. They refuse to help pay for this damage. use at your own risk read more

When confronting the company for their lack of customer service and trying to reschedule for a new day that could work well with my busy schedule, they just dropped the ball completely and backed out. They were very nice when providing a quote, but then the real cost was substanitally higher. The materials & cost suddently went up!. There was a $50 trip/installation fee on top which they never mentioned verbally. Afterwards, they were very rude when I pointed out that she never mentioned a trip fee.
