A few years ago, I saw a bottle of wine from Well Hung and thought the name was fun and bookmarked the location on Google for a later time. We ended up in the area again and decided to go for lunch. I had no idea what to expect but it is more of a restaurant than a winery. I ordered a flight and breakfast tacos, and my husband and I shared a charcuterie board. The board had a lot of fun items - I really liked the soft cheese and the caramelized onion spread a lot. The breakfast tacos were solid, but nothing super memorable. Today was our very first time at Well Hung Vineyard and it was AMAZING! We were seated outside under the tent which was kept nice and warm with standing heaters. The server was attentive and super helpful. She helped us narrow down both our food and drink decisions. My only negative feedback would be that they ran out of mussels prior to our 12:30 reservation. I had looked at the menu days prior and that's what I had planned on ordering today. lol Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious and I speak for all four of our party when I say we will absolutely be back for future visits. The wine slushies are amazing! I'm not a huge fan of wine but their wine slushies were phenomenal. I recommend ordering the flight. I've been twice now and their food is pretty good too! One area of opportunity is that they need a host area. Each time I've been you just show up and wait a while for someone to acknowledge you and that can be a bit awkward. So much fun! We stopped in the little tasting room in Gordonsville because of the kitschy play on words name of this winery and it was as much fun as we were hoping! We didn't realize it was also a restaurant, and we had just eaten, so, we did not try any food there, but the wine and the merch and vibes were all great! We had Corie as our waitress and she was so nice and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We each tried a flight, plus got some other samples. Everything we tried was delicious! We had a very solid dinner at Well Hung Vineyard... Wife had the daily pasta and I had the Braised Short Ribs and a flight of the Dry Red Wines. Everything was well made and beautifully composed. Staff was friendly, and while the atmosphere was very casual and comfortable, everyone who helped us was friendly and knowledgeable. The wines weren't the best I'd ever had, but the flight was serviceable. All-in-all, if you're a visitor, you'll get a reliably good meal here at a reasonable price. If you're a local, well, you already know how good you have it. Note to the visitors: the train runs behind the restaurant. Yes, it's loud and cokes up quite unexpected at night (ask me how I know...ha). If you don't like freight trains, best pick a table inside! lol! read more

We spent a bit of time discussing the sweetness of her mixtures! We had the fried portobello mushrooms, a spring salad and a mushroom flat bread. Everything was perfect! My wife had a wine flight of a mixture of white wines. Desert was coffee infused with red wine and a double chocolate mousse on a dark chocolate cake with a chocolate drizzle.
