Last weekend before meeting up with my Mom and my brothers + their family for an early 2024 Lunar New Year celebration lunch, I needed to get some new money for the red envelopes. There aren't very many Wells Fargo Banks (WFB) that are open on Saturdays in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) area. Fortunately, I found this one right in Alhambra. Yes, I do drive all around SGV for good eats plus banking needs LOL. The outside has two ATMs available for use. The inside was clean and well kept. Upon my entry, there were a couple customers already at the teller station and no one was in line, but me. I was up next... cool! Just a tip, if possible, go to the bank when it opens and right before it closes so you don't have to wait in line for too long. The bank teller who assisted me was very nice. I asked for new $20 bills... she didn't have any, but she had new $5 bills so that's what I got. I should have gotten the whole stack of $500 worth of new $5 bills for future Lunar New Year gifts and/or any celebration red envelope gifts, but I didn't. Oh well... maybe next time. My bank visit was very quick. Got my money and I was on my way. Now that I know this WFB is here, I'll be back for sure. Thank you! P.S. *******STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH****** I stopped in at this branch to do a simple name change on my debit card. Daniel Alcantar received my divorce decree and proceeded to input my legal name. Never have I ever gone to a branch and had anyone enter my full name (First, middle and last name on my card) After I caught the error he said he could change it with no problems. His system wouldn't allow the change so he grabbed the branch manager Brad. Brad couldn't change it either. So then Daniel says oh I'll just get you a whole new card. I agree to that AND still my full first, middle and last name was on the card!!! I told him before he started that I was private and did not wish to have my whole name on the card. I could sense his agitation because he had to call the customer service line. After being on hold for 10 minutes they tell him they can't change in. HERE IN LIES THE PROBLEM: He then proceeded to lie about the characters on the card and it had to have certain spacing. When I showed him my old debit card, MATTER FACT all my cards/credit cards everything reads: (example Jane J. Doe (not Jane Janice Doe) SO then he says ohhh we didn't know your full name before when you opened your account! LIES!!! All lies! Take accountability Daniel. You are a new booty and didn't realize it's not common to put someone's full name. People with common sense just write the middle initial. Even Brad agreed! Shame on Brad for not following up with me like he promised. Thumbs down to this branch. Lucky for you all I didn't decide to contact your regional manager. Anywho, I went to another branch and the lady changed it with no problems! She didn't feed me Mumbo JUMBO about character spacing and not knowing my whole name because DANIEL when you opened your account you have to have your license don't you?! Wells Fargo Bank - Two business cards of one incompetent employee and a manager who was pleasant but didn't keep his word. - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Alhambra, California

I felt incredibly discriminated by this bank. I'm not sure if it was because of the color of my skin or my age , or the way I dress. I didn't feel like I got treated with equality. I felt targeted & Profiled.. I told the teller I deposited my check on 3/30 of last month and my funds should be available today 4/8. The employee told me to come back after 10 days...I know my funds are available and active , why would I have to come back 10 days later to cash out my money.He called his "boss/manager" to apparently authorized the money I requested out my account . I got told my money couldn't be cashed out because apparently my funds weren't available and that they tried contacting the "bank" & apparently nobody was answering their calls.Which was definitely a lie straight to my face, because how come I was able to Zelle my wife 1k for the bills in the middle of night.I ended up leaving with frustration, and went to a different Wells Fargo.I had no issue cashing out my money which this bank said I couldn't. Don't go to this bank unless you want to be discouraged , and wait a long time for nothing. read more

When I walk in there a lady in front of me in the teller line and no windows open, I saw two of the employees is looking in the computer together in the lobby and totally ignore us instead giving us a heads up that someone will be there to open the window. I ended up walk away because I don't know how long is the wait going to be. For some reason I always have problems with this branch, the people work here seems never happy. This Wells Fargo is the closest to home and easily accessible with a huge parking lot shared with Smart and Final and other stores. The staff is pleasant and efficient. Knowing this is one of the newer banks, it is nice to come in and just relax. Something to consider is that this Bank has parking for just using yhe teller machines, which is quite nice if you're in a hurry. Other than this unique feature, it is a well run Bank with all the creature comforts I'm used to. read more

If I could rate each person working here, they would all get 5 stars in my book. So, I think what I appreciate most about coming here for my finances is that they always keep it real honest with their customers, and that makes me feel comfortable about coming here. its amazing how the customer service changes from branches. I've been going to the main & Raymond ave for 4 years. This is the first time I've received poor customer service. Even after Wells Fargo took of advantage of my spanish speaking mother and opened 4 accounts for them to make numbers and commission i still stayed with them. I HATE THIS WF BRANCH!! They are extremely pushy when it comes to them asking if you wanna sign up for their credit card. On 3 different occasions, I have been bombarded with offers that I've made more than clear that I'm not interested in signing up for. Aside from that, they don't even get the transaction right! I asked to have my check cashed, and deposit the cash into my account, and what do they do? They deposited my check, and the money is now pending until 1-2 business days!! Uugghhhh!!! PEOPLE.. Then get denied when I'm trying to deposit a tax refund check because my husband isn't on the account (even tho it was okay to deposit our other refund check two months ago). Denied a successful deposit even if I called him to come in to endorse it. They try to get me to open a joint bank account. Offered no other solutions. Been with this bank since I was in high school and have had a LOT of money liquid in these accounts with them only to be treated poorly. Closing all my accounts with this bank ASAP. It's the closest one to where I live, even if it wasn't I'd come here just for the customer service. Every teller I've had here is very friendly. receiving an email from your online services telling me to show proof of id i went to my local branch on Main Street , Alhambra. I showed the rep my email and she told me I had to reapply . She told me that I had to get another promotional code which I no longer had since it was used to apply online . She then returns acting like she was doing me a favor presenting me with another promo code. When I realized that it was for a higher initial deposit and requires a significantly higher monthly service fee. I turned down the offer and walked out. This is a typical bait and switch . The rep is self serving. She clearly doesn't care about customer service and what she did feels dirty if not illegal.
