The two Wells Fargo branches located in my town of Pleasanton are no longer open on Saturdays. So now I have trek over a neighboring town. It's not too far. This branch is one of the worst. On multiple occasions I have seen them slam the door shut in front of customers faces at 5 PM on the dot, even when both ATMs are broken. No exceptions! Went inside the branch For the first time in probably a year since the pandemic started. I appreciate the safety measures they put in place, such as social distancing stickers, plexiglass, and signs for face coverings. Plenty of teller windows open when I went in at noon. Probably didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes at the most. Was greeted and helped very quickly without any upselling at all. I came here several times--once to get a cashier's check, once to change my name and address on record. This location is convenient as it's walking distance from my work. It's either you'll Love or Hate this place. After our house refi, a month later, they sold our loan to this bank......A little disappointed. We refi because we wanted to get out another big bank. Surprisingly, this place will greet you and open the door for you like you're part of the Royal Family. =) I love how they always provide us with extraordinary service and that's including my kids when they go with me. All Tellers are trained well and everyone who works here are dressed to impress. Having said that...........There's not a day I come in that they don't try selling me something. I got use to just saying NO. From someone who has banking experience, The people who works here are just doing their job, but I won't fall for the free checking and free safe deposit type of deal. Came in today with one of those LED light masks with the mouth that moves when you talk and one of the guys behind the counter said doesn't she know that's for kids not adults I was so embaressed I turned it off makes me rethink where my company will be keeping its money now. read more

Mr. Clemens handles Home Mortgages and, while he has a desk at this bank location, where I have actually met him, he is supposed to be headquartered at a side office at 5075 Hopyard Rd. I signed up for a regular checking & savings account through this branch years ago... I typically never went into the branch, just made deposits at the ATM or via the Wells Fargo iPhone app... quick and simple. A few weeks ago, I had a strange charge made with my debit card... thankfully not much, but enough to throw up a red flag... a $50 charge made overseas. When I visited the link in the transaction description, it was clearly some spam deal, so I called Wells Fargo immediately and cancelled the card and disputed the transaction. In order to get a new card, they let me know that I'd have to go into a branch the next day, so I visited this branch and dealt with a teller for the first time in years. The representative I spoke with was... well... not the best. I could tell that she was new, and she suggested that along with getting a replacement card (with a new number), I should also open a new checking and savings account, as well. Not a big deal, I figured... so I went ahead and did it, planning on closing my other two accounts. So... with a new debit card, a new checking account and a new savings account, I figured everything was fine. Little did I know... The new (temporary) card that I got while I was in the bank was connected to my new checking account, which was great... but then I got my "new new" card to replace the temporary card. This card was connected to my old checking account (which, by the way, I was told by the new representative could not be closed for another month), even though I was under the impression that it would be connected to the new account. Thankfully, after activating the card, I jumped online to check the card status and saw that it was connected to the old account. I went into the branch early the following morning, and spoke with the same representative as before to get the card connected to the new account. She did a little work and said "Done and done... new card, new account. You're all set, the two are now connected." If you've ever had to change card information for everything you use your card for (online payments, iTunes, bills and more bills, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc), you know it's a time consuming process. I spent the majority of that afternoon switching everything over to my new card information, and was all set... or so I thought. The next morning, I got text message alerts for 3 overdraft charges, along with other charges getting hit to... yes, you guessed it... my debit card, which was connected to my OLD checking account. Now, I hate... loathe... despise confrontation. I'm not good at it and I avoid it at all costs... but (for completely unrelated reasons), I had the worst insomnia for days before all of this, and I went into this branch ready to raise hell. I saw the representative who assisted me twice already and she asked me if I needed help. I asked for a manager, and one came over to help me out. This is where, what you would think would be a 1 star review, becomes a 4 star review. Enter "Scott" to the stage. I was anxious, pissed off, overdrawn, exhausted and just plain irritated at the sheer incompetence of someone telling me they had done something, but finding out that they didn't know what the hell they were doing. But... I explained (calmly) my situation, and Scott was a miracle worker. He walked me over to "the best representative in the branch" to look over what was going on... verified what I had told him, apologized profusely, and explained what he was going to do to fix the situation. He reversed all the charges to my account that shouldn't have been there, closed my old accounts, and also made sure that every debit card besides the one I wanted to keep was cancelled. After all of that, he went over everything and made sure that I was satisfied. Long story short, I may not have had the best experience with the first representative I met with, unfortunately, but Scott went out of his way to make sure that I was happy and content with everything, showing some of the best customer care I've encountered in ages... which is doubly impressive considering the small amount in my accounts since I only use Wells Fargo for my "spending money" accounts (since they have banks just about everywhere and sometimes I just need an ATM). After this experience, I've been thinking of transferring my "main accounts" back to Wells Fargo... Scott was just that good. If you ever have a problem at this branch, I recommend asking for this guy. He kicks ass. read more

I HATE banking with Wells Fargo. Their customer service sucks. They charged my savings account a $10 monthly fee, because I didn't maintain a $3K daily minimum. Are you serious??? Daily NOT monthly minimum. Today I dealt with the most insincere & unaccommodating customer service rep, Laura (rep #U232873). I asked her if is she can waive or lower the $29 returned check fee on my credit (auto draft didn't go through, she said no. I asked if I can speak to a supervisor, she basically said whatever she can't resolve, the supervisor will not be able to resolve neither. I finally asked for Wells Fargo's customer complaint contact info, she said they don't have one. WOW! Such a liar. Anyway, I decided to take my money from my savings account. Eh. I just left. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for over 10 years. I rushed over to exchange a $100 bill for a couple of $20 bills before they closed. I left my ID behind, and they wouldn't exchange my money for me, although I've been a valued customer for over a decade! I wasn't asking to withdraw or transfer money. I don't need an ID to deposit money, why should I need one to EXCHANGE it? The manager with the brown hair and highlights was unwilling to help, saying it was out of her hands. I rushed back to grab my ID before they closed. When I re-entered into the bank, the new teller (different from the one previously) was incredibly kind and upbeat -- and didn't even ask for my Wells Fargo card OR identification! But the staff itself at this location are always helpful, in a good mood, crazy attentive and get me in and out. I'm sure they may have off days but all the 1 stars are quite shocking. Oh how the times have changed. I used to be a very satisfied customer of this institution overall and my experience with this branch in particular caused to to switch. One day I go to inquire about an old 401 and instead of getting the answers I needed I was given a high pressure sales pitch on opening a second Savings AND Checking account for "safety reasons." The pitch was to have one account to pay bills from so that if it gets compromised then all my money was not exposed. (In retrospect it makes no sense but I had fraud recently) I listened to the pitch and thought I would give it a try. It ends with the rep saying she will order me checks and we are done. Now fast forward one month and my rent is due. I pay my rent and the check (from my new super safe check writing account) bounces. I look and I have more than enough funds. What happened? Well it turns out the rep who sold me another account to write checks from for safety and ordered checks for my old account. So I am now hit with overdraft fees and fees from my apartment complex for late rent and writing a bad check. What annoys me is that this rep saw me as an opportunity to hit her quota and when all is said and done they were not able to answer the initial question. They did refund the fees but did not reimburse me the $75 dollars that I was charged on my landlords end. I was annoyed and am now a former customer. It is sad because I was a customer of 23 years with wells overall. Be aware of this branch and Wells in general. You are nothing but a revenue stream to them. read more

I had my personal identity stolen yesterday morning and the hackers go into all of my personal accounts including my bank accounts. The teller (forgot his name) and the bank manager help keep me calm and provided excellent service to change all of my accounts info. I felt very much at home even though I was in panic mode.
