This is the closest Wells Fargo Bank and it's been a good bank for me if I need to get quarters, withdraw/deposit or any other of my needs. I once left my card in the machine and they called/texted me to claim it back. Thankfully they did or my card would be lost forever and I would've felt like a dumbie. Recently, had Chhavy as my bank teller and she was really sweet! Very fast with transaction as well. Thank you for helping out with my quarters for laundry! Literally the worst. I've been a customer with Wells Fargo for 25 years. I literally opened up my first bank account probably at 15. I haven't necessarily had a problem with this bank and people have been friendly but today I had a really serious issue and needed some help. Yes I know I came in around 3:15 on a Friday but my issue probably required 20 minutes with a banker. First they told me I could be seen around 4 o'clock, and I said I would wait the hour, but then I was told actually I wouldn't be able to be seen today. I pleaded with them kindly and said that it's very important and I appeared obviously distressed. They didn't care whatsoever and told me to try a different Wells Fargo. Thankfully I tried the Wells Fargo on Ocean Boulevard (111 ocean blvd) and walked into such a more peaceful environment. There was an angel banker sitting at her desk and told me to sit down and spoke to me very kindly and professionally and truly helped me in my time of need. The bank on Ocean Boulevard is a little bit more inconvenient for me to get to, but I will be going here from now on and specifically doing my business with the banker I met today. As a long-standing Wells Fargo customer, or any customer for that matter, they should treat them with respect and compassion, instead of shooing them away in their distress. For 3 months I have attempted to change the beneficiary on my account . I have been in 3 times and have been given wrong information told they are too busy I need to make an appointment and that person has to be there with 2 forms of identification. The person I'm adding lives out of state and is here for a few days I went in yesterday only one other person in the bank 5 employees I was told by the branch manager I had to make an appointment there was no one available to help me including herself .She also told me the gentleman that had been assisting me was no longer there and I could make an appointment and the person that I'm adding does not need to be here. I don't have confidence in anything I'm being told especially if a manager can't help me .I am researching changing banks due to this run around by this branch. read more

Absolutely terrible branch of Wells these days. Massive collection of useless notices and notes simply taped to the window, customer service in the toilet, impossible to get someone to pick up the phone to book an appointment, always under staffed and always using it as "the excuse" for problems, etc. the culture is lazy and truly not helpful, but they do it with such a kind acting job on the surface with smiles. Banks. Such a touchy subject. And we all know someone who swears their bank "totally screwed them over!" Um, yeah...those are called overdraft charges, people - all the banks charge 'em. But, sure, I'm sure they totally screwed you. Wells Fargo has always been a great bank for me in general. And this is my absolute favorite branch. Typically banks are right up there with the post office and the DMV on the list of places I hate, but at this branch, I'll grab a cup of free coffee and hang out for awhile. Seriously. Never a long line. Even if there are a lot of people in line, it moves really quickly. The service is always amazingly friendly. Friendly? At a bank? Damn right. Efficient, friendly, and on those occasions when things in your bank account aren't going quite as planned, they're quite understanding too. Even though under that smile they're probably thinking, "Jesus Christ, doesn't she know how bill pay works, it takes a couple of days to post. Idiot. I'll bet she tries to stick around for free coffee now. I hate my job." But, the good news is, I can't tell that they're thinking that at all. Negative five stars for this bank. Aside from setting up extra accounts and outright stealing from their customers, Wells Fargo loans billions of dollars of their customers' money to the US oil and gas industry so that it can continue to expand long beyond when scientists have told us that expansion needs to stop. Their employees are wonderfully kind; their policies are the worst. I recommend a nice credit union instead. read more

We have had 3 business accounts for over 10 years with this branch. Had a customer give me a $7,000 cashiers check from Citi bank payable to me. Deposited the check and receipt says money will available next day yet when next day comes no $ available only a letter telling me money on hold for 11 days. After spending 45 minutes to an hour on the phone with customer service to no avail I tried the branch itself was told nothing could be done and that my money would not be available for another 11 days. Yes I reminded him several times that this was a cashiers check not a personal check from a customer but a bank issued government guaranteed cashiers check. Biggest problem I see is that the branch manager has no authority to do anything anymore, They don't even have the authority to remove a hold placed on a check. Therefore to me they are completely. I will be closing all of my accounts and taking my business elsewhere. This was truly the straw that broke the camels back, when they started charging me to deposit cash into my account I knew something was terribly wrong with this institution. I guess due to over $1 billion in fines imposed by the federal government upon Wells Fargo for fraud they now see a need to use my money for 11 days in order to make some interest on me. read more

I've experienced nothing but the best customer service at this branch. I paid off my first mortgage at this bank, and had to transfer large sums of money on many occasions. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. The only downside is the crowded parking lot, which Wells Fargo has no control over. read more

I had to take over an account for a family member at Wells Fargo bank. I went in and spent a half an hour signing all kinds of paperwork to put me on the account, then got a phone call a week later that they screwed something up on their end, so I needed to come back in to sign again. When I went into this particular branch, they told me they only took appointments and would not help me. There were three bankers in there with no clients, any of them could have helped me. Instead, they let the poor clerk deal with me and I was not happy. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience of my having to come in a second time or do anything to accommodate me. I'm not a fan of Wells Fargo to begin with, and I will definitely never be in this branch again. Get your customer service together or get out of the business! It's a bank! Every time I come into this bank I have a wonderful experience! The tellers are all very friendly and quick. I love that no matter where I am traveling, I can call this branch and they will order currency for me, which arrives usually within 2 days or so. They usually have Euros on hand, but usually must order currency for most other places. Just call ahead of time and they will let you know! Today I had Kody as my teller and he was great. I also had Victor help me with some documents I needed and he was wonderful as well! I have never been to a bank and expected it to be like that tv show "Cheers" Everyone here is so friendly, nice and warm. My teller was very friendly, asking me about my day and offering me coffee. The private bankers at the desks came up to me and asked if they could help with anything, and everyone asked my name and if I needed anything to make my day go better. I rarely enjoy going to the bank, but the friendly staff here and the coffee (which may give Starbucks a run for its money!), makes me want to visit this branch more often! read more

The staff in this branch is super fast and friendly, but perhaps with an ulterior motive. They asked me who I'm currently banking with, and I knew they tried to get me to open an account (I was there to deposit my friend's checks to her account - which was almost torn all the way but they helped taped and cleared). I wish all WF's customer service reps are equally nice. Sadly, that wasn't the case. (I know this is not exactly related with this branch, but I thought I'd share my story anyway). I banked with WF before, but I was badly burned by their customer service (phone). I had an issue with the online banking and they locked my account 3x without notice. When I talked to their customer service over the phone, she was extremely condescending and asked me if I speak English. You really need to be careful with this bank. I have been with them for about 3 years and their practices are questionable at best. I recently opened a joint checking and savings and was assured by the banker that we would not get any monthly fees. In the past 6 weeks I have called three times to contest the fees that we were told that we would not get. Also whenever you go in to make a deposit or interact with a teller, a "floater" is checking out you account info then makes a sales pitch for an account or service you may not want or need. It's very annoying. Make sure you read the fine print whenever you do any sort of transaction here. Besides that, this branch is good, never too crowded and conveniently located. read more

Almost always this location has the longest lines. Many times you will wait 10 minutes when only one person is on line. Other time The line almost goes out the door but new tellers are not called to the front. I'm definitely looking for a different location even though I only live 1 mile from this one. One bank switched names on me, and then was bought out by another bank that rhymes with You Es Bank (worst customer service ever) so I switched to Wells Fargo. I started in Huntington Beach with them, and they were cool, but not until I moved to Long Beach and used the 2nd st location did I really love this bank. Talk about overkill with "friendly"! The tellers can't tell when someone just doesn't feel like talking & they go on & on with their rehearsed banter like someones watching over their shoulder to make sure they do it. From the greeter when you go in to the teller to the same greeter in your face blabbering all the way out. It's exhausting! Maybe your customers are sick or grieving & don't feel like having conversations about the weather. This bank needs to learn how to "read " their customers & respond accordingly. read more

Here we go again!! I swear LB has to be one of the WORST cities in Customer Service everrrrrrr!!!!!! I needed a Notary today so I thought no problem! I called in the morning and was told the woman will be in later. I called the branch again and spoke to a gentleman he said to call back because the Notary was at lunch! I thought I would reach out to the other Wells Fargo branches. I called over 5 different ones, each one had an excuse as to why they wouldn't be able to notarize my simple 2 signature document! I called the Belmont branch back the Notary answers and tells me she is "too busy" and cannot do it today. Really!? I had 4 different accounts with them. That was it for me I drove right over and closed all my accounts out! What a joke, no one even bothered correcting the problem instead tried to make small talk! They have time to BS but not do their job! Do yourself a favor and take your Business elsewhere... they are Horrific!
