I walked in to open an account instead of telling me it might be a long wait or they would not be able to help me just kept telling me they're waiting for appointments. directed me to open an account online. I'm 35 and well aware of that. Then I told her 4 times that so can do that alone she's just stood o er me and said she was going to help me do it online I literally don't need help to do that. Yes! I do love WFB. They take good care of my money. Their app and online banking make it ultra easy and transparent. It's a giant bank. Yeah, some people don't like big banks but bigger is better for me! Plus, I love their colors and the whole stagecoach thing, right? The people have been handling money since the gold rush days! Now, the service inside the bank can be laborious for certain. Just getting to a teller to make deposits not accepted at the atm or online, can take considerable time. I wouldn't borrow money from them as there are far more competitive offers available if you're in that market. Lizbeth Castro best help ever. She called a day before asked what services I needed? I was a bit snappy bc during Covid I had received calls cancelling appointments. I thought she was Ca canceling . She remains bed so professional and sweet! I answered her questions. She said please when you come don't wait in line. Let the guard know you here for an appointment with Liz or Lizabeth. I arrived 14 min. Earl told the guard. He laughed bc I was so prompt. We both laughed. I went here to cash some bonds I was given as a baby, hoping to have a smooth experience and to finally use that money to help pay for school expenses. The guy who I got to help me, however, didn't know what the f**k he was doing. This kid couldn't have been much older than me, if at all, and clearly didn't know anything about bonds or their maturation. I was under the assumption (because of false information - way to go, dad) that both of my bonds had matured by the time I went to go cash them. This guy, who had probably never heard the word "bond" before in his life, looked at them like I had given him yen and rupees and asked for the value in American dollars. Calling over a senior member, he got this woman to walk him through the process of cashing them in. Between the brainpower of these two tellers, neither one thought it pertinent to tell me that one of the bonds hadn't fully matured - they just cashed it anyway. No warning, no, "Just to let you know, this bond hasn't fully matured, would you like to cash it anyway?", nothing. It wasn't until I got home later and looked closer at the receipt that I noticed I had been screwed. Admittedly, it was partially my own fault that what happened, happened. However, it would've been nice if the people helping me had been a little more competent and attentive and given me a heads up before cashing a bond that hadn't fully matured. Unless I find out some day that I have a rich uncle who has left me more bonds, I won't be dealing with this situation ever again anyway, but needless to say if the event ever arises a second time, I won't be coming here to take care of business. read more

Maybe I watch too much of "America's Most Wanted. " But I get nervous when I look around and see more than five customers at once wearing baseball caps inside a bank. I just wish the security guards would tell these people to remove their ball caps. read more

Always a line to reach the tellers to do anything, but it moves pretty quickly. There's somebody to greet you by the door and assist you with your needs. When the lines get long, usually the business window opens up to help normal customers. There's usually about 3-4 tellers at the windows, with managers overlooking them in case of any transaction problems or etc. I've had a good experience everytime I've head into this branch, atm or teller. That's always a good thing since I don't want to be working with people that's handling my money not providing very good service. There's two outside ATMS and a drive through one. The parking lot is huge with lots of parking spaces, so it's convenient to make a quick dip to the ATM. There's the occasion free coffee and sometimes complimentary snacks and offers like the Wells Fargo horse. I like coming here and it's close to my house. WAY BETTER than the BoA across the street with the opposite of everything that they offer at this branch. read more

I went here the other day to cash a personal loan check from BofA. I am a wells Fargo customer since 2008. They told me they won't cash it and that my best option is to go to bank of America and cash because it will take about 2 days for it to clear on my account. I needed the cash that same day but they were unwilling to help me. I guess this is what you get for going to a bank were no one gets trained. Even this teller manager ruth lady couldn't figure it out. I used to live out in Santa Clara were wells Fargo tellers were more trained and experienced. Funny thing about is I did this before at another wells Fargo bank and they did it for me. Don't know why this people in San Leandro couldn't do it. Definitely unacceptable. read more

Always a line in this branch. Always a problem with whatever transaction I'm trying to complete - by definition, the transaction is not going to be a basic ATM type deal, so you'd think the cashiers could handle paying in larger checks, advising on bank transfers etc. But nope. It seems to me that the cashiers have the minimum training to do only their job and to remain blissfully ignorant of anything else. It would be nice if they were friendly but out of luck there too. In a couple months I will be 70 yrs. old. WFB has been my personal banking institution for 20+ yrs. now. I have never had any problems until recently when I became the victim of Fraud-Scammers June 12th. I did not notice this activity until the 14th. I then contacted WFB and a Fraud case was opened. There was a $2,000 on-line transfer from my WF credit card into my account (which put my credit card over the limit) and they also tried to transfer $4,000 into the joint account I have with my husband thru another bank (whom I also contacted). This resolved itself because I did not have those types of funds available in my personal checking account. There was also a Zelle transaction done to someone name Larry Horrigan for $498. This is the transaction I was hoping WFB would really help me with. I recently received a letter stating that my Fraud case was not only CLOSED, but also had been DENIED because I gave these people authorization to access my account. I certainly DID NOT give someone I had never heard of or even know authorization to access my account and Zelle THEMSELVES $498. Needless to say, I WILL BE CLOSING OUT MY ACCOUNT and moving on to a more reputable bank that will protect me AND MY LITTLE RETIREMENT MONEY... read more

If this is the correct Wells Fargo, DAAAAAMN.. hella nice! haha I stumbled upon this Wells Fargo because I forgot to withdraw cash for a credit card payment I had to make at Nordstrom Rack. Despite getting a little lost, I figure headed downtown, I was bound to find a Wells Fargo in a busy little area. ..and there it was! :) It's super big and you almost feel like you're going to be checking into a hotel. Parking might be a problem, but then again, it's not that bad. It has a parking garage right beside the bank and seems to be quite secure. I really liked the area too. Compared to it's outer surroundings, it was quite nice. If I can find a good place to eat, I wouldn't mind spending an hour or two there just hanging out or even taking a walk. The good is that it adjoins a parking lot so it's really easy to reach. And the outside ATMs are also really easy to reach and, along with all Wells Fargo ATMs, are efficient. The worse bank ever! I deposited a check for $3700 I ask the teller when will it clear he said 2 days. After the 2 days I called the bank to see if the check cleared and it had. So I go back to the bank to withdraw $3500. The teller informed me, she would need to check with her manager. The manager takes one look at me and stated she needed to see if the check cleared! The hours are awesome. They are open until 6pm 6 days a week. The parking is convenient and free. The line was short but it didn't seem to be moving swiftly. A sweet representative approached me as I was about to stand in line. She asked if she could assist and I expressed to her all I needed was a roll of quarters. She escorted me to an atm machine that disperses $5s, $1s and will give you an amount well past anyone's daily withdrawal limit: up to $4000. I took out $10 in 5s, gave her the money and she came back in 30 seconds with the roll. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Now that's customer service at its finest! read more

Staff did not know what they were doing. I came to cash a check written out to my dad who had passed the month before. I had his death certificate and everything. They made me wait for a banker because the teller or the manager didn't know what they were doing. And they made me get a document notarized before depositing the check. Francisco told me he couldn't tell me how to fill out the form so when I returned with it notarized....they said it was wrong. I had to go back to the notary because I checked the wrong box (which if they would've told me....I could have avoided it) Now I'm here for the 3rd time waiting and waiting and they bring me some type of chocolate heart candy! Dude just cash the check! This was the worst experience that I ever received at a bank. Keep in mind the first time I cashed the first of my dads checks I went straight up to the teller no problem. For my dad's trust I brought in original POA documents; dragged my 94 year old dad into the bank - he had an account there for decades. They made him wait for hours and then we had to travel again to get documents notarized and come back only to wait another 2 hours- well he DIED before they ever got to the paperwork.
