I asked about my other concerns and she rudely said she doesn't have time for that, if I want more I have to schedule another appointment. Fast forward to receiving biopsy results for an severely atypical mole from their office. I scheduled an appointment to receive an excision and subsequently tried to call their office to make sure my referrals were in order (office side) and that I could get a preestimation for the procedure (billing side). The call system never called back the first several times that I asked for the call back option when I was on hold. The billing office was strange and didn't authenticate my identity until I asked them too. I asked when I could expect to receive my preestimation for the service (when I finally got ahold of them after 3 weeks of calling regularly). They said we can make any promises of a timeline. I said my appointment is now in one week. Can you assure me I will receive this information within 48 hours of my appointment encase I need to postpone or cancel for financial planning purposes. They said yes (just to get me off the line I think). I never received that requested information. When I called the office again, because I had never even received access to my patient portal, it took us a 20 minute long conversation of trying to get access to it because my name and information wasn't registering to realize that they had misspelled my name on all my forms, charts, and medical records. It took them 3 tries of changing my name to get the spelling right. I ended up cancelling my appointment because I don't trust an office who treats their patients this way. I rescheduled with another dermatologist and sent over my pathology report from Forefront to them. I found out at that my name was still misspelled on the pathology report, leading to confusion at the new office as well. Overall highly dissatisfied and would recommend everyone avoid this office at all costs.

Then to keep my "place" in line, the answering machine stated they will call me back. Fast forward 5 days later and still no contact or phone call. It is now a few days before appointment, I call and got the central office again. The young lady was kind enough to check If they had out referral on file and yes they did according to notes but she couldn't be 100% that the office I sent it to has it. But more or less they should she stated. We finally just went to the appointment hoping everything is in order. Now on the flip side, the office receptionist tech (Iris) was absolutley well trained in not only answering my questions but of being kind enough to explain. The situation of the office and how they are transitioning from closing one office and how they are now getting back on track. This really explains a lot and again, this is great communication and I appreciate her for that. The office is a bit antiquated on the outside so for circuses they get a 2, the inside is average office so nothing to scream about, so my last part of the review will be done in a bit, when I find out how the Dr actually did with my mom. A 1/2 later we are still waiting in this freezing cold room but the Dr finally arrives. She asked why my mom is here today? Quickly showing she didn't even see the file. My mom explained why she is there, the Dr checked her and within 3 minutes: "nothing to worry about sues fine, not canceroys". Seriously all of this and a deductible and three minutes later we are done. Totally not what I expected. Don't get me wrong, very glad things are okay but maybe a little bit more would of eased my mind. Not sure how I feel about recommending. No, probably I wouldn't bother, they ate not organized in the least so what's the point?

I've been a patient here for about 20 years. They have some good doctors, but the referral…read moredepartment has made it impossible to get any kind of specialist care. It has always been difficult, and blame has been consistently placed on my insurance company. It has gotten especially bad over the last couple years. I have a genetic disease that affects every bodily system, so I require a lot of referrals. Lately it seems the department just does not want to deal with me. Calls go un returned, repeatedly. So I have taken to stopping by unannounced to get things done. I am unable to maintain my weight, and am not being taken seriously. Referrals get faxed to the wrong number, so.e have the wrong phone number, and I get random referrals to places that have nothing to do with my care. I am also recently being asked to give names of doctors I want to see. That is their job, not ours as the patients. Then when I do get names, that I select based on knowledge of my condition,I get told they are out of network, and that I have no out of network care. That didn't sit right with a rare genetic disease, so I called my insurance, who stated that is false, for cases like mine, I absolutely can request out of network care. I've gone in person 2x in as many weeks, because the week prior I saw the dr, and attempted to get 2 referrals, and nothing was done with it. Phone calls placed to insurance, and was told what site the referral department should use to find me care. I called and left a voicemail with this info for referral department. After the week, I hear nothing, so I went in person. She had to rifle through several stacks of papers to find mine. It had literally sat all week with nothing being done. She then faxed the referrals, and gave me copies. I went to make the appointments, and one had the wrong fax number, so that office never got it, and the other had the wrong phone number. I went back today, and it was the same thing. As it turns out, its not just that I'm a complicated case. My coworker just started going here, and is already switching doctors again because of the referral department. Today when I arrived she was on the phone with another patient, asking them if they had the phone and fax numbers for their specialists. Again. This is not our job, its literally what she is paid for! They need a new referral lady. I really don't want to switch doctors, due to my complex issues, but it looks like I have to. I can not keep waiting. I'm already underweight, And have had to reduce my hours at work due to lack of energy, and an active job. I take the day to focus on trying to nourish my body. Honestly, things aren't looking good for me, and I feel like no one cares.
