I tried for a first time tonight the Chicken Marsala and to be honest it was very good. The noodles in butter and mushrooms... you need this...

    Fish n chips!

I don't know how they do it. Fish and chips for me 3 times. 5 star. Chicken Piccata for my hubs 2 weeks ago and Kung Pao chicken and fried rice tonight. Outstanding! Whether it's fish, Italian or Chinese.....it's terrific . Next time we'll try Mexican! And they are very generous with their servings. We have enough left over for another meal. Lovely family and delicious food. Certainly not fancy but friendly and very clean. Do your family a favor! Try it. BTW! They do lots of take out........ Good to know.

Lunch with hubs. My two ground beef tacos were huge and delish! Well seasoned meat, yummy salsa and topped with generous dollop of sour cream. Disappointed that chips were flour. Could only eat one taco with at least 5 oz of beef on each. But, the ground beef was lukewarm, prefer nice and hot. Hubs liked the fish, really enough for two with 5 big pieces. French fries hot and again, plentiful. I found the fish tasty but prefer a tad less batter. Took a few bites and found more coating than fish. And friendly, friendly. Cook, owner and waitress/cashier interacted with customers with a cheerful tone and smile. But here is the problem. Hubs used the restroom and warned me not to go in there: dirty and the smell was beyond disgusting. This for me is a dealbreaker. If the restroom isn't clean, how is the kitchen and other areas of the restaurant. While the food and service was a solid 3/4, I cannot recommend. ~EG Eats

Bad business. Let a customer know that your soup of the day isn't included in your to-go order, ESPECIALLY when you see them tip you for a to-go order at that. So while a customer sits and waits 10-15 minutes for their order they can at least sip and enjoy the soup. As someone who's been in the food service industry their whole life as well as my family being successful chefs, I got a real bad taste in my mouth with this business. Tipped these clowns $7 for my $10 to-go order. To each his own. This place lost a whole family of customers who are Acton locals. The food? People are lying in these reviews if they say the food is good. I wouldn't say it's the worst I've eaten, but it's within range of being horrible food. They cooked chicken in aluminum foil. Don't do it. You'll get sick. Where's the pork? This is breading in some mystery red liquid that looks like tomato base. Crazy.

    Spaghetti scampi.

I had great lunch at this place in Acton this past Friday. I had shrimp scampi with spaghetti. The sauce was more of a cream sauce then tomato sauce, so just more pink than red. The shrimp and the spaghetti were flavorful. At times though the cream sauce was too heavy. The spaghetti noodle used that's more on the thin side rather than thick spaghetti. Service was very good and attentive. There were lots of patrons, with the dining room really was not large. Will come back again soon.

The people here are very nice. And I was intrigued by a menu that includes Chinese, Italian, and American. The decor is a little cramped for my comfort zone with a TV blaring overhead. They do a booming takeout business. We opted for lemonade and appetizers. The chicken skewers and BBQ ribs from the Asian menu were really good. Hardy servings. Great service.

YUM! Eat here!! The owners are hospitable, kind, gracious, and produce really delicious food. REALLY DELICIOUS. One has choices and your mouth will be very happy! Also the presentations are beautiful. Color and inviting to the eye. Reasonable prices and large servings.

I had went to Wence's not too long ago and it was amazing. So we had to go again and this time not so amazing:( Tables were taken up with employees and their families, we didn't feel welcome. They send us timely but we felt more like a bother at that moment then appreciated. The food was ok . Their machine to pay went down so we had to do something different through our phone to pay, awkward. Needless to say our experience was so bad this time and $40 for 2 meals we won't be going back.

Lemon Chicken, ordered without veggies.. lunch special was $10.99 soda was $1. Good deal

Service was good, food was tasty and filling. I ordered a lunch special for $10.99 + $1 soda, not a bad deal. There's a lot on the menu but I usually order Chinese food.

    Seafood pasta

This place caught us by surprise! The chef really knows what he is doing. The seafood pasta was fresh and hot. Absolutely delicious! Nice & quiet spot for dates. Great menu options. Looking forward to going back for fish & chips. This is a hidden gem in the AV.

The waiters and host were amazing, super kind and accommodating, and the service was perfect. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. Definitely get the fermented sourdough bread with the pesto butter--it was delicious. The homemade whipped cream was delicious and the lavender drink was really good too. The wait time was a little long, but the food matched the price. Parking was easy with a big lot. Not the most dairy-free-friendly spot, but I was able to take off most of the cheese. We'd definitely come back for brunch.

I've been coming to Piccola Trattoria for years, although I hadn't visited in quite some time…read more Coming back reminded me exactly why I fell in love with this restaurant in the first place. Graziella and her brother have created such a special dining experience. My favorite dish has always been the pistachio sauce ravioli. I didn't see it on the menu and mentioned how much I loved it, and Graziella was kind enough to make it for me anyway, explaining that it's now part of their rotating menu. That level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. I usually never order ravioli as a main course anywhere else, but this dish is absolutely incredible and unlike any ravioli I've had. I was on a double date and convinced my friend to order the same dish because I couldn't stop talking about it. She absolutely loved it and understood immediately why it's my favorite. My fiancé and his cousin both ordered the lamb chops and couldn't stop raving about them. My fiancé substituted the seasonal vegetables for the arugula salad. He normally doesn't eat salad, but he finished the entire thing and said it was one of the best salads he's ever had. The dressing was amazing, and after trying it myself, I completely agreed. My fiancé's cousin, who I consider like a brother, was trying lamb chops for the first time and said he felt like he'd been missing out his whole life. I also ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita from the rotating cocktail menu and enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second one. The food was outstanding, but the atmosphere deserves recognition too. The patio is beautiful, romantic, and has such a relaxing ambiance. It was the perfect setting for a double date. After being away for a few years, I'm so glad I came back. The food, service, and hospitality were just as wonderful as I remembered. Piccola Trattoria remains one of my favorite restaurants, and I can't wait to return again soon.

They don't have parking unless you wanna pay for valet otherwise you have to walk a block. Bummer off first impression. Living in San Francisco there's endless authentic Italian restaurants to choose from on a daily. Such as Paradisio. Ordered mojito, Cesar salad, shrimp ravioli and Alfredo fettuccine. That Cesar salad was so tasteless and welted. Informed our waiter he dis absolutely nothing lol joke. The mojito was watered down. However the entrees was better. I would recommend entree nothing else. The service was ok. Just seem like the restaurants these days are trying to cut corners and back on cost which the customer is suffering from lack of quality.

The space is quite large, but a bit cramped. We were seated in a a patio-like space towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered the calamari, Mezzelune di Crostacei, and Tortelloni di Brasato. The calamari is highly recommended. It was fresh, lightly fried, and paired well with the sauce. The Mezzelune di Crostecei was amazing. The ravioli was perfectly cooked and the juices from the shrimp and scallop made it a perfect bite. The only disappointment was the Tortelloni di Brasato. The herb cream sauce was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, the short rib filling was akin to a beef puree and several of the tortellonis had very little filling. Overall, I had a great experience and looking forward to try other menu items!

So I decided to check out this hidden little Italian joint a bit down the street. I wasn't sure is it was open during lunch so I'm glad I decided to stop and take a look. Upon entry, the restaurant feels super intimate- almost a cozy vibe if it weren't for the white tablecloths and linen napkins. Once I was seated, looked over the menu and ordered, I decided to look up reviews on Yelp. Not as positive as I usually look for before selections a restaurant but I am so glad I came in before I made this snap judgement! I also saw that although being open for lunch, they again close to prep for dinner service so I am equally glad I stopped when I did. I selected the tequila chicken fettuccine, at the recommendation of the wonderful man who sat and served me, ( I was thinking about carbonara). I will probably wake up craving this pasta!! Flavorful, chicken cooked perfectly and not sitting in an overly creamy sauce. I also enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and lovely, and upon inquiry, learned it is not available in stores! I'll probably be back for a glass or two of wine at the very least!
