The BEST Buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. Chicken was tender and the Buffalo sauce had a great kick to it but it wasn't overly spicy. Didn't expect to ever eat here because we're not out in that area often and it's not like a giant blinking sign off the freeway, but it's in my opinion a place you must stop at if you're in the area. Absolutely a hidden gem. An enjoyable time, was very quiet inside. Servers were polite. If we weren't so tired, we probably would've walked around the interior more and honestly I wish we had.

My friends and I just made a morning rest stop at Vincent Hill Station restaurant for the very first time. To be quite honest, we didn't really have high expectations from the ratings and reviews. This place really blew our mind with food quality and service. My friend and I split the BLT and Breakfast burrito. A few other friends had the house soup along with a round of drip coffee. Besides the great food and service, this restaurant has the decor and ambiance of a nice vintage lounge. We can't wait to be back and again, I really don't understand the negative feedback. Cheers and ride safe.

2022.03-06/SUN_1600: WOW. I REALLY LIKE THIS PLACE! The ambiance here is laid back. The station and restaurant is lovely. I don't have many interior photos of the lovely restaurant because I was out back enjoying the LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. Whatever band they had playing was super AWESOME! They even asked if we wanted to play or sing, too! Heck yeah! So the folks here were so laid back and just welcoming. It felt like being at your neighborhood bar at home. I loved it! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be able to eat and listen to good music as well as hang out with friends and family. The staff is super nice and very attentive. It is a bit more upscale; however, you don't feel like you're in a fancy restaurant! The staff was very helpful even though we sat in the bar area! They would always stop by and made sure we were taken care of. It was cold outside but they had these wonderful portable heaters that did an excellent job keeping us warm! The food was delicous! We decided to have snacks instead of entrees. Our friends had a couple entrees that you'll see. Wow, they had a lot of good appetizers to start with on the menu. They had Potato Skins, Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Tenders, Soups, Shrimp Cocktail and even Escargot Provencale! There was a good amount to choose from but we chose the Potato Skins, Mozz Sticks and Chicken Wings. All was delicous! The sauce on the Chicken Wings were finger licking good - sweet and tangy! All were also served with dipping sauces. We heard they were known for their French Onion Soup and we wish we had gotten it! Our friends got that instead! Plus they serve you fresh baked bread and butter, too. We had so much fun enjoying the live entertainment and I wish I knew the name of the band because they ROCKED! They played everything from CCR to Bob Marley! They knew how to bring it!

Originally being from the Antelope Valley, I had always heard of this place but never made the trip out to visit it. Not until this past week when my mom wanted to have her birthday dinner there so she could watch one of her favorite local musicians. I wasn't sure what to expect as we drove into the dark desert but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were greeted by our friendly host who walked us to our table that was reserved. I dressed up a bit but quickly learned this place a little more of a laid back feeling to it. Our waitress quickly greeted us and took our food/drink orders. She was very helpful and I would love to be seated with her the next time we are there. The food was delicious! I highly recommend getting the garlic bread. Save a little of it to dip in your entrees. The Angel Hair Pasta had lots of flavor but didn't feel heavy on the stomach. I would get this again. Not many vegetarian options to choose from here. I didn't try it but other people in our group also really enjoyed the French onion soup. We just went for dinner but this place also has a really great outdoor dance floor where a band was setting up to play. I have heard they do lots of events and parties here. I want to come back and check these events out! If you live in the AV or LA, this place is worth making the trip out to!

Thank God they have re-opened! We're so happy to be back and eat their food again!!! Check on the hours which are changing as they go through the opening. As of this moment they are open Tomorrow is Sunday and this was always our Sunday brunch spot in the valley; we have other plans tomorrow unfortunately, but if you're looking for the best brunch in the AV, then you need to come here and try the chicken piccata. The butter lemon sauce with capers is phenomenal, a different version than most are used to. It's also on the dinner menu but my favorite is having that as a brunch item. As they have only been open a few days, the menu is smaller than usual, but they are in the process of completing the reopening and expanding the menu back to all the wonderful dishes we knew. I cannot wait to get the duck with Bing Cherry sauce, garlic scallops, and a few other total winners! They will be opening for more hours, but call to check; temporarily now they are limited to Fri 5-10pm, Sat 4-12, Sun 11-9 ... and then they begin weekday dining on Tuesday.

Had a reservation for my wife's birthday showed up early and they sat us quickly and service was great and fast. Was only one hostess and she was keeping the mood great for everyone. Dont remember her name but she was friendly and evenly attentive to everyone. I mentioned that we had a reservation early on and guess she checked on it later on and saw my note that it was my wife's bday so she brought her a cheesecake. Prices were good and food was solid. Was hoping for full menu but we were too early. Will definitely give them another try.

Food - not great! My angel hair pasta was in 2 inches of chicken broth. With garlic tomatoes and chicken I was expecting maybe olive oil? The chicken broth did nothing to enhance this dish. Sadly, I ate three bites.

Dry omelette (probably too long under the warmer) and the over cooked Benedict

It used to be great. And maybe it's because it was the weekend following Thanksgiving, but the attitude of the server who wasn't even ours, ruined the vibe of an ok brunch. She (brunette with a ponytail) needs to learn to control the eye roll because we see it. That attitude will keep me from going back. Our server, the bartender, worked his butt off and we appreciate it. It wasn't his fault the eggs Benedict were woefully overcooked (they gave us a bit of a discount which was nice) and my Belgian waffle was cold with cold butter. But I was hungry so I ate. Please VHS. Find the good place you used to be. We miss you.

Road trip! Let's get out of our rut and head out to the boonies! (That's what she said) Come on. This is an adventure, a destination to days gone by. It's dark out, on a lonely highway, and suddenly, there are rail cars, an old train station, a saloon and... a restaurant! While coyotes sing, pull up to "charming and quaint". Check out the calendar of events, always a party. And yes the food!!! We lapped up the French onion soup, from the gruyere to the artisan toast and pot liqueur onion bone broth below! Get it! Ceasar salad that came with my mango topped mahi was fresh whipped just for me, I'm sure of it, creamy fresh delicious! Alongside buttery zucchini, comes with choice of potato, "Can I have sweet potato fries?" Yep! Our server extraordinaire, Shannon, said yes to everything we desired. Hubby enjoyed his perfectly prepared burger and trimmings. The house cabernet was perfetto and $6??? Thank you, I'll have another. No explanation needed, but Just spent the day as "party mom" with darling 4th graders... Can you say "happy hour"? Love it! We've already planned a double date with our besties! You're welcome!

    Filet Mignon Dinner
Not Good/ Did not eat what you see!

Mothers Day a special day for Mom. A friend of mine raved about this place. We made reservations for this day, and even with that we still had to wait at least 20 minutes before being properly attended to. The very short Menu for Mothers Day was not impressive by any means. We ordered two filet minion and a scallops dinner and had to wait for at least 40-45 minutes before actually getting our meals. The kind server felt bad for us waiting and offered us some Asparagus soup on the house (very kind of her) but since Mom was the only one who likes that kind of soup, it did not make a difference to much to two hungry guys. There was no bread or bread rolls offered , since they had none available The meals finally arrived and since I had specifically asked for my cut of meat to be med. well done with no blood/slightly pink, I was surprised when I was able to finish about half of this ridiculously small portion that had blood oozing out. The mashed potatoes were about the size of an ice cream scoop (small at that) and not even gravy on them. My mixed vegies looked great if your 3 years old and use to eating them cut up that way. The ONLY good thing here was that Mom at least enjoyed her meal. What a disappointment, my Son and I felt cheated and regretted not going elsewhere for a much better meal. I could not contain my unhappiness and did tell our server that since this place was so highly recommended and it was our first time here, most likely it would be our last after seeing the poor value for the ridiculous price they charged for these meals. I asked for our check and surprisingly a Manager-TROY approached our table to discuss what the problem was, even though we did not ask for the Manager and really did not wish to be confronted on this special day about this, but since he was here, we spoke about it and he apologized, saying that they were so busy on this day, although it seemed much more open after a while (more people left). The Manager did offer a free meal should we decide to return to this place, I declined and did offer to pay for what we ordered. I ended up paying the lovely price of $155.00 plus $20.00 tip. and honestly will never even consider returning for this place that over charges, makes you wait so long, and cannot cook the small portions to the way you like. I recommend the Australian Outback or Claim Jumpers for a much better tasting meal and value to go along with it.

There was plenty of parking in this lot. The entrance is located through their patio, which can be a bit counter intuitive. We came at opening and the restaurant got really busy during our time there. Initially we were looking at the sandwiches because it was lunch time, but then we were going to a wedding that night so we decided to eat something more filling since the ceremony and speeches always delay the eating. All entrees here are served with black beans and rice or congri, and 3 fried plantains. My boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja ($28) with the congri and I had the Lechon Asado ($25) with the rice and beans. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend's Ropa Vieja is a Cuban braised beef. The congri is basically a mix of the rice and beans. This dish was super tasty and the shredded beef was so tender with the bell peppers and onions. I can really taste the red wine and tomato sauce in the base. I took a few bites but in general I preferred my dish more, and vis versa he enjoyed his dish more. My lechon asado is a roasted pork that is super super tenderrrrrr. It was so sweet with the grilled onions and it had the perfect amount of fattiness without being over bearing. SO GOOD! Love the plaintains too. I'm glad I got the rice and beans option because I would have gotten too full too quick with the congri. I barely touched my beans and only got through half of my rice. Both dishes came with this super tasty garlic butter sauce that I poured on my rice and made it even tastier. It was so good. One thing I didn't enjoy about the experience was the flies attacking us and our food. Since the door is open and connected to their outdoor space, it leaves the opportunities for flies to come in. We had to play defense with the flies the whole time. The service here is a little slow. Especially when I was trying to get back on the road I wasn't feeling too patient. I waived down multiple staff members too. Also I got hit with an undisclosed 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I only found out after I got the receipt. I would have paid in cash if I knew. *dislike* LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Might be the best Cuban food I've ever had... and I've been to Florida where there was a lot of Cuban spots. Room for improvement with service, flies prevention, and the disclosure of the credit card fee.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

The decor is "industrial," but it's clean and airy, so there's no sense of being in a "dive" -- in fact, this is a family-friendly place, and I saw some youngish couples playing pool on what seemed to be afternoon dates. The physical bar is relatively small, with only about 8-12 seats, but that's because they're keeping as much space open as possible for game play. The staff was friendly and chatty, and seemed quite intent on making sure everyone had everything they needed. The menu is wider and more interesting than one would expect in a pool hall environment, with creative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads promising a more unique and memorable meal than the average hangout. I opted to try the Pastrami Pizza: a traditional tomato and mozzarella pie topped with what they call "mustard fried pastrami," onions, chopped pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard. It's a good-sized pizza, larger than a true individual pie, and enough for 2 people to share. The pastrami was savory without being too salty, while the pickles, onions and mustard all added nice pops of flavor without feeling like a gimmick. My one disappointment was that the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested, making the crust more doughy than crisp. Also, the temperature in the venue was darn near frigid, so my pizza got cold very quickly, which reduced my ability to enjoy it as much as I would have if the pie had been piping hot. Other food being enjoyed in close proximity to me looked and smelled very good (wings and burgers), and like I said, the people were all top notch hosts. So, while the final pizza prep could use some improvement, I think these folks are doing a very good job of making bar food that's more interesting and memorable than you'll find anywhere else in the area. Definitely stop in and give them a whirl.

We were all very happy with our good and drinks. We were wondering why we hadn't been there more often. The waitress brought me a little tiramisu with a lit candle. We had already been passing our martini's around, for tasting, so we did the same with the dessert. Nice ending to our dinner. BTW we took Lyft home and my daughter, who does not drink, drove her "kids" home. Lucky we all live pretty close.

Our waiter timed our meal perfectly, kept our glasses full and overall pleasant. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious, with a touch of wasabi. I had the lamb - cooked perfectly. Husband had lobster ravioli stuffed with lobster and yummy. Our friends had salmon and pasta, both equally good. The tiramisu was good. We left with satisfied and full tummies.

Greeted by our very kind waiter, we were served the most delicious toasted bread, butter(s) and rock salt from La Boulangerie. As a film nut, of course I ordered the Cinema Paradiso, this is a very imaginative cocktail recipe, like a an Old Fashioned but with a movie theater twist, kindly served with a pinch of candy kettle-corn at our table by the mixologist herself; what a playful and tasty delight! For starters, we are ordered the Mini-French-Onion Grilled Cheese and Hamachi Crudo. Both absolutely delicious. The Hamachi Crudo Leche de Tigre sauce is beyond perfect. The balance of flavors between charriness of the bread and melted cheeses, and tangy onion soup dip...just wow. Then the steak! Accompanied by a delicious Châteauneuf-du-Pape, we shared between two, a perfectly cooked (medium rare of course, don't be basic) N.Y. Strip (au poivre sauce on the side) with au gratin, and it came with nice little on the vine roasted tomatoes and a little leafy salad...like I told Chef when he came to our table post meal: "INCROYABLE!". Every-Single-Bite!! But, aside every dish being perfect and the service being above and beyond, what literally brought me to tears was the dessert. I haven't had "floating islands" since my mom used to make it many, many moons ago (unfortunately ma is now at early dementia), and when I tasted my first spoonful here, I couldn't hold back the tears, memories flooded and complimented by the preceding meal which was perfect...too many feels. Merci Beaucoup! For a VERY special culinary experience to all at La Monique. Please don't change a thing. I rarely ever make the effort to write a review, but this is very much worth every second. We'll be coming back for sure. Feel like I just discovered fire.

This is completely unacceptable and feels like fraud. To make things worse, the food was completely average -- nothing special at all and definitely not worth the prices they charge. I've never experienced anything like this, even at the most basic places. This is beyond unprofessional and extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise others to double-check their receipts and statements after visiting this restaurant.

The chefs appetizer was amazing. The drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. I've always been curious about this spot, and to my surprise, it's actually Santa Clarita's very first speakeasy... how cool is that? We've been loyal fans of their sister restaurant next door for years ...it's our go-to for breakfast, brunch, or dinner ... so trying Sidecar felt like the perfect next step. And wow... what a great choice! The cocktails were excellent. They made my Old Fashioned exactly the way I like it, and my partner loved their gin and tonics. The servers were absolutely wonderful (I feel so bad I forgot their names!) and made the evening feel extra special. The vibe is warm, cozy, and stylish ... perfect for a relaxed night out. Honestly, it was such a sweet way to kick off my birthday celebrations. We'll definitely be back again soon!
