The BEST Buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had. Chicken was tender and the Buffalo sauce had a great kick to it but it wasn't overly spicy. Didn't expect to ever eat here because we're not out in that area often and it's not like a giant blinking sign off the freeway, but it's in my opinion a place you must stop at if you're in the area. Absolutely a hidden gem. An enjoyable time, was very quiet inside. Servers were polite. Chief Demetrius has returned!!! Friday evening, my wife and I greatly enjoyed Demetrius's offerings. My wife experienced an excellent Chicken Piccata while I enjoyed wonderful New Zealand lamb chops accompanied by an excellent risotto. Dessert was a wonderful cherry cobbler a la mode with freshly brewed espresso and decaf latte. My friends and I just made a morning rest stop at Vincent Hill Station restaurant for the very first time. To be quite honest, we didn't really have high expectations from the ratings and reviews. This place really blew our mind with food quality and service. My friend and I split the BLT and Breakfast burrito. A few other friends had the house soup along with a round of drip coffee. Besides the great food and service, this restaurant has the decor and ambiance of a nice vintage lounge. We can't wait to be back and again, I really don't understand the negative feedback. I don't have many interior photos of the lovely restaurant because I was out back enjoying the LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. Whatever band they had playing was super AWESOME! They even asked if we wanted to play or sing, too! Heck yeah! So the folks here were so laid back and just welcoming. It felt like being at your neighborhood bar at home. I loved it! It is a bit more upscale; however, you don't feel like you're in a fancy restaurant! The staff was very helpful even though we sat in the bar area! Originally being from the Antelope Valley, I had always heard of this place but never made the trip out to visit it. Not until this past week when my mom wanted to have her birthday dinner there so she could watch one of her favorite local musicians. I wasn't sure what to expect as we drove into the dark desert but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were greeted by our friendly host who walked us to our table that was reserved. I dressed up a bit but quickly learned this place a little more of a laid back feeling to it. Our waitress quickly greeted us and took our food/drink orders. She was very helpful and I would love to be seated with her the next time we are there. The food was delicious! I highly recommend getting the garlic bread. Save a little of it to dip in your entrees. The Angel Hair Pasta had lots of flavor but didn't feel heavy on the stomach. I would get this again. Not many vegetarian options to choose from here. I didn't try it but other people in our group also really enjoyed the French onion soup. We just went for dinner but this place also has a really great outdoor dance floor where a band was setting up to play. I have heard they do lots of events and parties here. Thank God they have re-opened! We're so happy to be back and eat their food again!!! Check on the hours which are changing as they go through the opening. As of this moment they are open Tomorrow is Sunday and this was always our Sunday brunch spot in the valley; we have other plans tomorrow unfortunately, but if you're looking for the best brunch in the AV, then you need to come here and try the chicken piccata. The butter lemon sauce with capers is phenomenal, a different version than most are used to. It's also on the dinner menu but my favorite is having that as a brunch item. As they have only been open a few days, the menu is smaller than usual, but they are in the process of completing the reopening and expanding the menu back to all the wonderful dishes we knew. I cannot wait to get the duck with Bing Cherry sauce, garlic scallops, and a few other total winners! They will be opening for more hours, but call to check; temporarily now they are limited to Fri 5-10pm, Sat 4-12, Sun 11-9 ... and then they begin weekday dining on Tuesday. read more

The location and restaurant itself is cute but that's pretty much all it's got going. They sometimes have live music, which is nice. Well not sure when you changed your chef or quality in the last month but we last ordered in October it was great homemade quality, now in feb 2025 we ordered our usual we always ordered and for some reason it came out to $90! And on top of that was COMPLETELY different quality and completely different food than we expected. We should've brought it back for a refund but we waited two hours for our to- go order of food by that point our day was gone we wanted to just leave already. The hamburgers we got were worse than dennys. And we hate dennys. The tenders and mozz sticks were not at all big and homemade like they used to be they were straight up freezer burned foster farm cheap freezer food. The onion rings were no longer beer battered they were just gross basic freezer crumbs onion rings. Jack in the box would've been better than these. Better off getting all our fried snacks and burgers from Mel's in Hollywood for better quality worth the long drive for a date night. Did you lose your chef or something and resort to freezer food? But still charging premium prices wow. Unfortunately we will never return here for food because we wish we had our $90 back. We are pretty disappointed about this. It doesn't help that the place is soooo boring and even the same bands that play only play cover songs cuz they don't want to take chances on new bands with original songs and the staff have such bad attitudes. A friend and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Vincent Hill Station last Sunday morning. It started when we got to the restaurant at 10:30 and saw that the posted opening time was 11:00. One of the staff, Angel, noticed us looking in the window and very graciously invited us in, seated us, and brought us our preferred cocktail of Bloody Marys. (They were excellent, just spicy enough, and a good large size in a hurricane glass.) He also brought menus, explaining that the kitchen would open at 11 but we could make our selections in advance. We both opted for the 3-egg VHS omelet with house potatoes. The omelet contained bacon, mushroom, plenty of cheddar, and bacon, and it was quite good. The potatoes were my favorite, though. So many restaurants serve soft and greasy potatoes even when you ask for crispy hash browns. These were a generous portion of 1/2 inch chunks, crispy on the outside and fully cooked on the inside, with delicious seasoning (maybe smoked paprika?), and a few pieces of sauteed peppers and onions mixed in. Service was friendly and efficient but not obtrusive. Our only regret is that it's more than an hour's drive from Tehachapi. read more

Dont remember her name but she was friendly and evenly attentive to everyone. It used to be great. And maybe it's because it was the weekend following Thanksgiving, but the attitude of the server who wasn't even ours, ruined the vibe of an ok brunch. She (brunette with a ponytail) needs to learn to control the eye roll because we see it. That attitude will keep me from going back. Road trip! Let's get out of our rut and head out to the boonies! (That's what she said) Come on. This is an adventure, a destination to days gone by. Mothers Day a special day for Mom. A friend of mine raved about this place. We made reservations for this day, and even with that we still had to wait at least 20 minutes before being properly attended to. The very short Menu for Mothers Day was not impressive by any means. We ordered two filet minion and a scallops dinner and had to wait for at least 40-45 minutes before actually getting our meals. The kind server felt bad for us waiting and offered us some Asparagus soup on the house (very kind of her) but since Mom was the only one who likes that kind of soup, it did not make a difference to much to two hungry guys. There was no bread or bread rolls offered , since they had none available The meals finally arrived and since I had specifically asked for my cut of meat to be med. well done with no blood/slightly pink, I was surprised when I was able to finish about half of this ridiculously small portion that had blood oozing out. The mashed potatoes were about the size of an ice cream scoop (small at that) and not even gravy on them. My mixed vegies looked great if your 3 years old and use to eating them cut up that way. The ONLY good thing here was that Mom at least enjoyed her meal. What a disappointment, my Son and I felt cheated and regretted not going elsewhere for a much better meal. I could not contain my unhappiness and did tell our server that since this place was so highly recommended and it was our first time here, most likely it would be our last after seeing the poor value for the ridiculous price they charged for these meals. I asked for our check and surprisingly a Manager-TROY approached our table to discuss what the problem was, even though we did not ask for the Manager and really did not wish to be confronted on this special day about this, but since he was here, we spoke about it and he apologized, saying that they were so busy on this day, although it seemed much more open after a while (more people left). The Manager did offer a free meal should we decide to return to this place, I declined and did offer to pay for what we ordered. I ended up paying the lovely price of $155.00 plus $20.00 tip. and honestly will never even consider returning for this place that over charges, makes you wait so long, and cannot cook the small portions to the way you like. I recommend the Australian Outback or Claim Jumpers for a much better tasting meal and value to go along with it. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here and I'm sad that it's taken me this long to come back! The food, service, and ambience was amazing. The rustic charm of the restaurant and dim lighting gave it an intimate setting. There was a wonderful saxophone player who played a little melody for my daughter's birthday. The food was delectable! Our meals came with a choice of soup or salad. My husband and I got the romain lettuce with their homemade caesar dressing. My daughter got the tomato bisque which was really hearty. I had the Chicken Picatta which was served with a buttery lemon sauce topped with loads of capers. The skin on the chicken was slightly crispy and the inside was very moist. It's definitely worth getting again! My husband had the 8 oz filet mignon which was prepared medium. It usually comes with a mushroom sauce, but we like to taste the flavors of the actual steak so he asked for it on the side. It was juicy and tender. It was quite enjoyable! Lastly, my daughter had the salmon which came in a vermouth sauce, which she asked for on the side. I was honestly too busy enjoying my own meal that I forgot to taste hers, but she said that she really enjoyed it-which says a lot for a 15 year old! Each of our meals came with a baked potato and a side of sautéed green beans and steamed carrots. After, the waitress found out it was our daughter's birthday so, she brought out a dessert - chocolate semifreddo which was light and airy. Must have been the large party that impacted the capabilities of the staff. The menu was in no way, the one advertised. The waitress informed us of a revision. The food was ordered & was not very timely getting to our table. Staff capabilities? I can't really say what this place is all about. You see my sister who often visited the place recommended it. I was buying. Acton is a smaller, remote area, so people must be grateful for anywhere they can escape the madness of the times we are currently living in. SUCH A SHAME Improvement? Over 30 years patronizing this establishment with date nights. Regrettably today, i must downgrade my love for this place. This was not the first instance, but a series of poor quality experiences over the last year or so. Tonights experience started with warmed up sourdough bread (warmed, because the bread had the dreaded 'refrigerator' taste). The second instance was the ribeye. Cooked to perfection but that lingering refrigerator taste still prevailed my pallet. They advertised Roquefort crumbles but was the common blu cheese crumbles from a big box place. The service was still good, just poor food quality. The third instance was on the way home. My body has an uncanny ability to recognize poor food handling practices. I had to make haste towards my home due to my body rejecting the excessive bacteria content in the food. Fourthly, it seems the restaurant wants to placate to the happy hour crowd rather than that pesky restaurant. Thats my observation. So sad to report the service and food was a joke which was a shame as it was good vibes and music live band was infectious. Have no expectation of proper service or of food having any tatste. I ordered a filet miaon and was told they had no steak so understanding this I ordered the lamb chops . Came back to be advised that with out consent or knowledge the bartender Mary took it upon herself to order the pork chops for me without me being aware.
