They only opened at 11am, at by the time we got there around 12:30 it was starting to fill up a bit already. My husband got the "in a van down by the river" cocktail, which I tasted, and we both agreed was delicious. For our appetizer, which we had never ordered one before from this establishment, we got the Wisconsin cheese curds. The sauce it came with reminds me of a good sauce for onion rings and was just as amazing on the cheese curds (it was called Sunny ranch I believe). We both got our usual entrees, my husband ordered a double smash burger and I got the atomic punk sandwich, both of which came with fries. My husband devoured his food, while my anxiety basically required me to wait until we got home to eat. I would definitely recommend stopping by The Brick House and grabbing a bite to eat. The staff began cleaning up and closing down not long after we arrived and the bartender brought us our tab pretty quickly. We attempted to get an uber starting at 9:23 (they aren't kidding about Lake effect winds!), but apparently those are few and far between in St. Joseph. They closed up all around us, so we took the hint and walked back to the hotel around 9:45. The concept was great... (we loved the wheel). The Billy Bird sandwich has turkey, tacos, American cheese, and their burger sauce on sourdough bread. While this was our first time here, and we didn't get any drinks since we got takeout, we had been here when it was still North Shore Inn. They were owned by North Pier Brewing Company across the street, so this restaurant has changed a bit when it comes to the menu but the ownership has stayed the same and the beers they offer are made by their own brand. Their cocktail menu has updated as well and you can take home their beer in 4pk can form if you'd like. Food was fantastic and I will definitely be looking forward to dining in one day to get the full experience. The poutine, bbq pork rinds, and soft pretzel all sound fantastic on the appetizer menu so all of those are going to be reasons to keep going back. My husband got the triple cheeseburger, no pickle, no onion, add bacon.  My bestie and I both got double burgers (hers without pickles).  I was disappointed they didn't ask how we liked rhem cooked they they lost likely would have had we sat in the restaurant.  The burgers all came somewhere around medium well which was fine for me and my best friend but my husband is more of a well done guy.  For 2 double cheeseburgers and a triple cheeseburger add bacon it was $23 which is not bad at all considering each patty is a third of a pound.  My husband, who picked up the food, said it was super heavy (lol).
