I've been in the drive thru line for 20 minutes. This is ridiculous. And when you get to the window, the people working there don't want to hear it. They hand you the food with the window 90% closed, because I'm sure they get tons of complaints. I feel bad for them. They looked like they were hustling, but they must be severely under-staffed. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to and continues to go down hill with COVID/post COVID. They have constant turn over and there seems to be no managerial supervisor. Today was the 3rd time since COVID came to be that I had ordered large fries and they only fill the container maybe 1/2 or 2/3, if your lucky. The fries were also cold. It sounds like they are cutting corners (giving you less for more $), not training the staff properly to fill up the fry containers and to only keep fries for the allotted time before pitching them, and there is no one monitoring quality control. They also gave me the wrong beverage. I ordered a sweet tea and they gave me an unsweetenrd iced tea. It was terrible. Tasted like the tea had been sitting around a while. I ended up dumping it out. Additionally, this location continues to keep their dining room closed. Other Wendy's dining rooms are open, so no idea why this one is staying closed, unless it's because of the constant staff turn over and probably a staff shortage. The people they have working the drive thru are not friendly. No greetings at all and they certainly don't smile. They just take your money. Because my experiences have continued to be negative at this location, I will not be going there again. It's really a shame because this used to be a nice location and it's practically in my backyard. Absolutely horrible food and long wait time. We ordered cheeseburgers and the patties tasted so old both my husband and I couldn't finish them. French fries were undercooked. Stopped here tonight at about 945 PM tonight to grab dinner. Ordered 1 meal and a hamburger at drive thru. Drove 2 min to my house and fries should of been thrown out long before I got them. Opened hamburgers and took a bite and patties were also cold, dry and hard. Obviously also needing to be thrown out long ago too. Spent 15.00 for cold fries and 2 dried out cold hamburgers. I was going to go to burger king but decided that I haven't had Wendy's in a while so I decided to stop. My advise to who ever runs or owns this place is to close around 8 pm or shortly after the dinner crowd I over. Your not doing yourself any justice staying open and serving the quality of food that I received. This Wendy's is by far the worst we have been to. It is close to our home so we have tried a few times but would rather drive farther to get better service. Staff is never friendly. Every single time we have gone there has been missing items, the wrong items, or added items. It seems like they just throw food in a bag and move on. I'm always a little leary of Wendy's. This isn't the Bethel Park location's fault, mind you, but there it is. I recently patronized thus location while having my vehicle serviced next door. I ordered the Double meal which consisted of a two-patty burger dressed with the typical mayo and ketchuo, lettuce and tomato. Also fried and an iced tea. The fries recieved were coated in salt. I had to wipe them off on a napkin to eat a few of them. Also, I got a replacement burger due to the original having not been cooked. Literally, it was ice cold and bloody. Like they didn't even place it on the grille at all. Be advised to check your burgers carefully before biting into them. I am not happy. NOT happy. My 91 year old mother and I came here a few weeks ago, and my french fries were served cold. My mother also said her hamburger tasted like it was 3 weeks old. I vowed never to go back there. Then, last night, I prayed and prayed. I ended up going back with a girlfriend of mine, AND MY FRENCH FRIES WERE SERVED COLD AGAIN! If you've eaten at one Wendy's, you've eat at all Wendy's. It's all the same. What differentiates one Wendy's restaurant from the others is the service. And the service and overall experience at the Bethel Park store is so ridiculously bad, it's almost comical. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was done on purpose so they could capture the reactions of patrons on a closed circuit camera and upload it for a TV show. No matter when you go, no matter if it's drive through or going inside, they manage to screw up the order. In fact, of all the restaurants on Rt. 88 in Bethel Park, I challenge you to find one other restaurant which offers worse service. Seriously, take me up on this Pepsi challenge. I'll give you an example. We were there this past Saturday around 12:30 p.m. (lunch time). The Saturday lunch rush is THE busiest time for all fast food restaurants. Inside, they had ONE register open - and nobody helping out the lone employee working the register. There was 4 people in front of us, and it took them 35 minutes for us to get a simple order. When you call to complain - even going so far as to speak to the regional manager, it's abundantly clear that they couldn't care less. Customer satisfaction is absolutely not on their radar. They can't be bothered to sufficiently staff the place so there are enough people to cover point of sale transactions. read more

There were gnats and flies everywhere and everything was just old, dingy, and obviously has not been taken care of. Aside from the decor, the service is terrible too. We tried to go this evening and despite the fact that there were at least 5 or 6 people working, it took them 15 minutes to serve two customers. Don't go to this location! The staff is very slow and rude. Wendy's as a chain is great, but this location puts them to shame! Someone in front of me asked if a staff member could come out and wipe the table... And you could hear the young boy in the background commenting there's 30 tables out there she can't find a clean one! Waited for about five minutes to be waited on. Two other people were waiting for food. That's all the people that were there. They finally got their food and I was able to place my order. It seemed like the grill was off and they kept restarting it, because it was another five plus minutes until I received my food. Then, as I am eating my hamburger, I notice it is still pretty pink inside. That's a pretty risky situation, to eat undercooked ground beef. Bethel Park, PA location on Library Road. WORST Experience at a fast food restaurant EVER! I took my elderly mother there between appointments today because she wanted a salad. I was focused on her as we entered the restaurant because she walks with a cane and I was afraid she could fall. I asked her what she wanted to order and she looked at the menu gave me her order and then I told her to go ahead and sit down and I would bring the food over. She noticed the social distance signs on every other table and chose one without a sign.I placed my order and paid. I proceeded to get my silverware, napkins and straws and pour my drink from the machine. I took my drink and utensils to the table and sat them down. Then I went back up to the cashier and got the food and brought that to the table. I realized they had forgotten my mother's drink so I went back up to get it and as I did one of the employees came out of the back and started frantically screaming at us. She ran over to near where my mother was and started screaming at her that there was no eating inside and she had to get out. She kept repeating it yelling across the restaurant. Then, she took a sign off the opposite door that we came in from and shoved it in my face and told me "look it says plain as day the dining room is closed." I told her to stop yelling at me and that was no way to treat their customers. At no time before the yelling were we ever told the dining room was closed. The dining room was not blocked off and there were no signs inside saying it was closed. We were literally berated by this woman for making an honest mistake. I finally asked for a refund on the food and we left. We will never go to this restaurant again. read more

Most of the workers have been pleasant, apologetic about the wait times, except one particular drive-thru lady, a woman maybe in her early 20's who is straight up miserable all the time. My daughter and I were at the Bethel Park Wendy's yesterday. When we arrived, there were two other customers in front of us, an elderly woman who placed a large order to go, and another woman who was patiently waiting ahead of us. When the elderly woman paid for her over $25 order with a $50 dollar bill, the Cashier (a surly redhead with dimples) snapped at the woman asking for the "change" that should accompany her bill. The elderly woman asked her to take it out of the $50 and the cashier snapped back, "Now I have to go to the back for change!" We waited until the cashier came back with the change, and then she snapped at the woman again! When the elderly woman left dejectedly, the Cashier grinned fiendishly. At this point, the customer in front of us and my daughter and I decided to leave. If this young woman is who they leave to represent the business and greet the public, their paying customers, then it is clear that our money and patronage is not appreciated. On my way out, an incoming customer asked me if the wait was long. I responded that it was a bit long, but I was willing to wait. However, I was not willing to be waited on by a rude churlish woman who delighted in upsetting people. The incoming customer turned around and walked back out with us. read more

I am beyond disgusted. I took my two daughters to Wendy's this afternoon to get lunch (they wanted chicken nuggets). I ordered two each 10 piece chicken nugget meals, medium sized, with bottled water. Sauces were bar-b-q and ketchup. The girl in the 1st window was laughing at whatever joke was taking place in the store that she had me repeat the order - twice! I think she had trouble understanding the word KETCHUP! I got to the window to pay and the manager was standing beside her and she asked me - again - to repeat my order. She asked did I want water in a cup - it was free - or did I want the bottled water - it was an up charge. I said I want the bottled water. I paid the bill and pulled to the next window. Another girl hands me two cups of water. I said wait a minute, I ordered bottled water to which she replied no you didn't, you need to specify that. I said I did. She looked at me and smiled and said "have a nice day" then SHUT THE WINDOW. I sat at the drive window and would not move, honking my horn until she came back. I told her to get her manager. She argued that the manager was busy (He wasn't - remember I had seen him at the first window). He was standing around the corner watching and listening. AND I said - no he is NOT busy he is standing right there! At that point the "manager" walked around and I said, look I ordered and PAID for bottled water. He said "no you didn't" you should have specified. I was livid. I said what is you name to which he said "John". I looked at him and said are you REALLY the manager of this store?? (Was stunned). He replied, well no, I'm on loan from another store. At this point, I noticed that neither he, nor the girl who had shut the window in my face were wearing name tags. I looked at him and said - you heard the order - you watched her put it in. I want my receipt. To which he replied you needed to ask for that when you checked out. I said that girl told me I'd have it at this window!! The guy said, well you ordered water and you got what you ordered. OH MY GOD! I said I will be calling your district supervisor. He sneered and said "go ahead". Then shut the window. I start to drive off and then I see - the receipt in the bag. And--- what does the receipt say 2 10 pc nuggets, sweet & sour, ketchup packet, small fries $5.50 - BOTTLED WATER $1.39 TWICE!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I turned around and went back into the store. There was no one NO ONE at the counter in the middle of the day. They were all laughing it up and joking at the drive through. Really!?! I yell back - HEY JOHN - I want to talk to you. He looked over - then looked like he was going to dart - then came over. I said hey John, you did give me the receipt. AND you charged me for bottled water. He was like well, that was part of the meal charge. WTF are you serious? NO, NO, it wasn't. STILL HE HAS NOT OFFERED ME THE BOTTLED WATER I HAVE PAID FOR. Enough! What is your last name. He says what? I said WHAT is your last name? He replied "mead.....". I said I'm calling your disrtrict manager. To which he replied, no problem, I'll dial the number for you. AND GUESS WHAT - to this point - HE HAS STILL NOT GOTTEN ME THE BOTTLED WATER THAT I PAID FOR!!! EPIC FAIL EPIC EPIC FAIL. This place has been going down hill for the last two years. ENOUGH!
