I was visiting my friend Tyrone in Conway. His girlfriend Kelly and her husband, some 500 pound heffer, joined us for a meal at Wendy's. I scarfed down my baconator, but had just one little piece of the burger left. Being the toddler I am, I flicked it off the wrapper and it landed on the cheek of the big man. I don't know what you put in your beef, but it stuck to his cheek, nothing would get it off. He was so angry he pulled a PlayStation controller out of his pocket and chucked it at me. Thankfully I ducked just in time to miss it hitting me. To this day, the piece of desiccated beef is on his cheek. He often plays with it and sniffs his fingers after. Gross. My friends Richard and Kelly (smelly kelly) recommended this place for its 5 star Chilli, not only did it disappoint but they were giving me advice on something they knew nothing about! Then outta no where a kid by the name of Sean ranklin told me about a v6 mustang give away if you beat the Chilli eating challenge. i love Wendy's but the location in Conway SC is the worse Wendy's I have ever been in. the Service is absolutely horrible. I've been it it three times. average time to get food, 40 minutes. Each time there was only one person ahead of me. My last visit I placed online with the pick up time of 625. I got there at 6:20 finally got my mail it's 650. Will never go back to this Wendy's. Was ordering a triple told they could not supply it, due to meat shortages. The person on the window informed me that they didn't do triples because they didn't have the meat. I could order 3 single combos though which makes not a bit of since. I've also been told by not just staff of Wendys but other fast food that they are; holding food back from the public unless it's ordered and delivered via Grub Hub, Uber Eats and delivery businesses. I asked why and was told that the delivery people were giving the order takers a percentage of the sale. I can't verify this independently but have no reason to doubt it. I do know that the portions of food got much smaller 17 French fries in a tub of fries at McDonalds. At $4.99 + 14.5% tax. I feel that these business owners have used this as a bypass of the emergency laws against price gouging. It seems only Non-Corporate & Franchises did this type of thing. Corporations for a change followed the law and did their best to maintain the proper thing. I normally don't eat fast food a lot and even my Son was a fast food junky feels they pretty much raped us by taking advantage of an emergency situation. In addition I never saw 1 person wash hands, proper mask or even put on gloves. Food at Mexican markets were cooking tacos on grills outside the stores, these were not restaurants and never inspected or operated as such. They never got a ticket or fine. But served who knows what meat sourced from who knows where with no sanitation. The city of North Myrtle Beach was aware since I saw police officers eating outside the door. The city lost taxes and restaraunt fees. Who knows if anyone became ill from the meat sitting outside. It appears that the Governors orders had no power people coming from states that were the so called ground zero did not isolate for 14 days We had head shops an kite shops open because they were able too get a few surgical masks or CBD gummies to cure COVID as 1 employee told me. read more

Horrible attitudes of employees working Oct 15 2023 @ 1:20pm. Walked in to a long line of customers who already ordered and waiting on their food. I said "Hi,How are you?" To the cashier and she just stared back at me. After waiting over 15 minutes she held a bag out and again just stared at me, so I came up to get the bag and noticed there was no spoon or napkins to eat my chilly with and asked her for a spoon and napkins. With no response she grabbed a stack of napkins and slapped them down on the counter in front of me just out of reach intentionally. Then begrudgingly handed me a spoon. I said thank you and have a good day, she ignored me and turned her head. Other customers were treated the same way by other employees and no employee took pride in their jobs. I never review anything but I had to Lea a review in hopes someone in management would come in unannounced and sit and watch how horrible this shift of employees treats customers who have better customer service than the employees themselves. I went to Wendy's drive through when I was rear-ended by some guy who had clearly just hit a deer. He was laughing like a lunatic saying something like "I can't TAKE this $hit no more!" when I overheard the Wendy's worker tell him they were out of chili. I was terrified. He then proceeded to get out of his Mustang (this took approximately 20 minutes) and he huffed and puffed from the exertion of standing up. He then shoved his wife and told her to get away from him because he was live-streaming the incident, from what I could see. He muttered something about "Syndicate ruined my sex life" and "PKA owes me 10,000 dollars". I was confused. But it was then he saw me staring at him. He yelled "I'll beat your ass like I beat the surgery!" I have no idea what that meant. I walked very slowly away, and he could not keep up with me. I was traveling up from Florida to North Carolina last weekend to visit my mom and along the way, I felt hungry so I stopped to get something to eat along the way at this Wendy's in Conway, South Carolina. As I waited in line to order I noticed a larger man get into line behind me. I didn't think too much of it albeit for a few impatient and labored sighs coming from him. I ordered a cup of chili with a small Sprite, got my number and sat down at a nearby table to wait. From the counter I overheard "Sorry, we just sold the last bowl of chili to the man in front of you." Suddenly, I heard a fist slam into the counter and looked up to see the man standing in my face. "Look here, look listen, I need that bowl man, I need the bowl so f***king badly." I was taken a back for a second as this was a lot to take in for a road weary traveler. When I found my voice again I just mumbled no. He got really mad and started yelling at the cashier who then asked me if I could "find it in my heart to give him my bowl and that I would be compensated." Again I said no and the man then proceeded to leave while yelling the whole time. "Whatever man I hope your family dies in an automobile wreck real talk." This made me particularly upset and I followed to confront him but he said he "wasn't here to conversate" before driving off in a Mustang that clearly had a broken axle. I talked to the cashier who chided me that this man (she called him Richard) usually comes in everyday to get this chili and that I should have respected local customs and people and given it to him. "Especially," she remarked "because he just had surgery and needed all the support he could get." Other than my unfortunate experience with that customer, they had excellent service and the restaurant was clean and tidy. I was trying to enjoy my meal in the parking lot when a 450 lb man waddled to my car with his "thick six" exposed. He appeared to have a lot of orange stains on his shirt and I noticed he was consuming a beverage cup full of chili through a straw. After refusing his advances, he hit me with a maglite and I'm currently at an emergency dentist getting my teeth repaired after the fact. Be on the lookout guys. read more

Went here for a quick to-go lunch... watched as the cashier, Liz, took our money then went to bag our food, putting her dirty fingers inside the fry nd nugget containers before bagging. We asked for food she hadn't touched and she got rude about it saying she didn't touch our food when we clearly saw her do it. Then we had to wait for fresh fries to come out of the fryer. This "quick lunch" took over half an hour to get. Common sense says that if your going to touch someone's food you either wash your dirty hands or put on gloves. Don't go. I know this is fast food and you shouldn't expect much but even with that said, the place is a total disappointment. I tried the late night menu when there was no crowd, should have been no waiting and the food should have been fresh and edible. Apparently for late night customers, this place does not have the Value Menu available. You have to buy the pricier items. To me, that indicates you should get better quality if you are paying more. That is not the case with this place. I stopped in late night on the way home when I had a craving for a hamburger, fries and chicken nuggets. I ordered all three items and my total bill was $12.12. Each item was not only cold, they were all disgusting. This food had to be hours old and it couldn't even have been under a heat lamp because nothing was remotely warm. The buns on the burgers were tough, the meat was like shoe leather and the fries were ice cold and chewy. The chicken nuggets were inedible and that's a compliment. Late night menus and drive throughs should realize they are catering to people who are basically starving but still have standards as far as their food is concerned. This food would have been terrible if I had paid $3.00 instead of $12.00. I threw almost all of it in the trash. I fed the chicken nuggets to the dogs. Fast food is not my thing but I do get that occasional hunger pain that requires something that comes from a drive through a window and is hot and edible. It's a late night craving kind of thing. If you ever have one of those, don't go to this place. There is no level of hunger that could make this food remotely satisfactory. read more

I've had to his this Wendy's up a few times when on the road for work. Around lunchtime, the drive-thru like gets really long. I didn't have to wait a long time though. The employees had everything going in a timely fashion. I did get an extra bag with a burger and let the drive-thru worker know; she was very appreciative and said most people just leave with extra food. Hope karma is coming my way! It was a dark, gloomy 28th of October, Thursday to be precise and it was raining, quite heavily at this point, and I and my wife Brenda have been travelling for 15 hours straight. We have come from London, England, to see the wonders of the US and travel throughout the entire US on our motorcycle, we ended up settling down for some dinner at this Wendy's, it looked welcoming enough and we were like sure, we haven't eaten for around 6 hours so why not? We got off our Harley and slowly made our way to the door, when we were barged out of the way by a 450lb man, he literally pushed us out of his way and his sidekick wife laughed, whilst holding their miniature dog. I thought nothing of it, I am not a confrontational man, but that was the tip of the iceberg, my wife Brenda now had her back up and it wasn't going to be a good meal already. So, we waited in line after ordering our baconater's and watched in awe as this hefty chap was going around asking people what their favourite video game was, it was surprising, but he would even ask the children for their Gamertags on PlayStation, which I and Brenda found bizarre at this point, it was like the man ran the entire Wendy's and he wasn't even an employee. He then scoffed down an entire chilli bowl in one sitting, saying he wished Wendy's had a Pepsi machine, I told him that Co Cola is a drink close to Pepsi, and he replied "I'm not here to conversate, man", which I found odd, as he was talking to little children but wouldn't take advice from me. He then proceeded to pick up his 4 gallons of chili he said he will freeze and stockpile, all the while "the wife" as he referred to her, picked up their daily meal of 20 chicken tenders and 4 portions of chips, where I and Brenda were just in amazement, as we've never seen a meal so big. I accidentally dropped my drink on the floor and was like "dammnit, can I have a refill, please?", in which the employees said "most certainly" but this hefty chap said "consequences have actions pimp", in which I replied to him, "what is your name?", his response was astounding "Muh names not fucken Richard dood, it is Samuel Jordan McBucket VBang!" then I looked at Brenda, I gave her the eyes to leave, so we did. All in all, a somewhat new experience for me and Brenda, the food was banging and the staff was amazing but Samuel was a bit of a nuisance speaking to children. read more

I was recently in Conway with my family and wanted to stop and get a quick bite to eat. We had decided to dine in the restaurant as we had been in the car all day long. I had gotten a chili and large Diet Coke as I've heard good things about Wendy's chili. As we sat down to eat I heard sound of a V6 Mustang come hauling ass into the parking lot. A man who appeared to be 450 pounds stepped out of the driver side and was visibly upset. I'll never forget him yelling into wha looked like a microphone. "Look here, look listen" he screamed. "Appearing offline does not f**king stop it. So quit giving advice you know nothing about". This had shocked me and my family as we don't hear language like that very often. That, however was nothing compared to what came next. He had come barging into the restaurant (stomach entered first I might add) and became very aggressive with the staff. I will say it looks like he was a regular customer and that the staff had put up with this behavior from him before. He demanded to get a large chili now. The staff had this terrified look on their faces as they knew what the next sequence would be. "We're sorry Richard, but we're out of chili". "Oh come awwn" Richard had yelled out. "I just drove my salvaged V6 Stang from my modular mansion all the way down here for some delicious Wendy's chili. Real tawk". The Wendy's staff looked terrified. They even offered him $5 worth of food for free for the inconvenience. Richard wasn't having it though. He seemed insulted by the amount they had offered him. "This Wendy's run is $10 an hour. You want to see me in this Wendy's its gonna be $10 an hour" I couldn't believe the audacity of this man. As the Wendy's staff tried to calm him he got visibly more upset. Even throwing what appeared to be a PlayStation 4 controller at the wall. As the manager had come around the counter to talk to Mr. Richard he began telling him "I hope your family dies in an automobile accident". The whole restaurant sat stunned as no one could believe he'd wish such a horrible thing on someone for such a minor inconvenience. The manager had then asked Richard to leave and to not come back. Richard however had a few more things to say. He pointed at an African American male employee and said "And you.... You "blacked" my ex girlfriend Brandy". He then pointed to an innocent looking guy and said "you!...... you didn't help me loose weight in boot camp". And then the most terrifying thing happened to me and my family. He waddled over and TOOK my Wendy's chili. "This is mine now pieemp. Big ups" he exclaimed proudly. He then waddled out the door and got into his V6 mustang. As he had pulled out of the Wendy's parking lot I got a look at the hood of his car. "Conway Conman" was painted onto his car hood. As a result of this me and my family will not be returning to this location. read more

yes Wendy's is a fast food place and I'm sure they can't please everyone but this mama is so pleased right now. I went inside to get a to go order. asked if they still jad the 1.99 kids meals which they said no they have discontinued those. to say I was disappointed was an understatement. and I think the cashier could tell. I order 5 plain burgers for me and my kids and ended up having to take one off as I only had 5 dollars. not only did he give me an eztra burger for free he alsogave me a large fry and sone chicken tenders. I offered to give them another dollars for all the extra stuff as that's was all the money I had and he said no and to not worry about he understood what its like to have 3 hunger kids. While I love Wendy's this store is one to avoid. It appears ownership simply chooses not to staff the store so there is a chance of getting reasonable service. The manager was extremely rude when asked for extra bbq sauce(my favorite condiment) when we asked for it when we placed our order at the speaker in case there any extra charges for extra sauce which would have been fine. Got to the window, no one had on masks & during this epidemic I feel it's almost a necessity. The manager in the window, who had her hair down, refused to give us the extra sauce we asked for. We we're given the wrong size drinks, there's mayo on my burger which I'm allergic too, and above all else, we did not receive straws for our drinks. During this epidemic? Really?!!
