Not only did I get sweet iced tea, but when I called just to get a carb count so I could take the appropriate amount of insulin, no one would answer the phone. Terrible customer service. I came here today and placed an order on the Wendy's mobile app which charged my card upfront, as it normally does. I was told when I arrived at the drive thru window that they temporarily couldn't take orders. The young lady didn't explain nor volunteer why. This location is pretty good, haven't ran into many problems! Went here with the boyfriend at midnight this past Saturday; he got fries and a double stack, and I got spicy chicken nuggets and a small chili. All of our food was very hot and tasted yummy. Horrible. Don't come here. I came in with my family to get food (my son and grandma) and my son accidentally dropped his drink, which is normal for a toddler so we told a worker and apologized and went to sit down. When we sat at a table, it was practically missing a leg and way to wobbly to even eat at. So we moved to the next, the next was almost just as bad. I got up to use the restroom and there was no wet floor sign where the spill was and an excessive amount of water on the floor from the mop. I didnt notice how soaked the floor was until i stepped on it and almost slipped. I had to hang onto the wall just to get across. Once i got into the bathroom i couldnt even go, the toilet had urine all over, it smelled HORRIBLE there was no bag in the trash, hair in the sink so i left without using the bathroom. On my way back i almost slipped again and informed an employee the floor was very wet. he assured me someone was on it and that was that. when we go to leave, im in the front doors to enter/exit and i fell. i slipped on the water being tracked in. come to find out, my son had fallen in the mop water too. This is Wendy's a fast food place so the food isn't fine dining. (But who would expect it to be.) It's generally hot, fresh and tasty. But my reason for writing a so-so review is that I've never been through their drive through where they get my order right. In the last 8 years I've probably been through the drive through a dozen or more times and I come home with half my order, with an entirely wrong order (nothing I ordered) and always come out upside down (e.g. I've paid more than the food I got.) The last two times I've checked my bag before driving through and was shorted food. When I complain, the staff doesn't know what to do and that often means waiting and waiting for them to fix the issue. I'm starting to wonder if shorting customers is how this particular location makes its money. read more

I have had a couple of bad experience with this place. 1) The drive through experience was horrible, when I pulled up to the window to get my food, they threw my food at me and the bag was ripped. I could not even understand the lady of what she was saying. 2) The manager there during the day is very rude to the costumers. A customer paid for something that he didn't order and he notice it on the receipt and asked the manager to take that off that he didn't order it and she was fighting with him about it. She gave him a bad look and the cashier a look like this guy is crazy. I thought it was very rude. During that same time, my family and I ordered and my grandmother went to the ketchup area and she said that they are out of the ketchup and the manager told her that she is just not doing it right. My grandma told her I am, I know how to do this. And the manager did not do anything about it. So my grandma asked for ketchup packets and the manager threw them at her. This place needs new workers. I went there a few days back at around 7:30 PM. There were people inside eating so I tried to go in and order to go as usual. I don't like going through the drive thru because I've had issues with my food and didn't find out until later. I can check my food on the spot while inside. The doors were locked and I tried to get someone's attention to find out why. Occasionally a worker would look towards where I was standing outside and did nothing. So I waited and waited until an older couple that had been seated eating were leaving. As they were coming out I asked if they were open and they stated "yes" and asked what time it was. I told them the doors were locked and they looked confused and said maybe the lock is catching on the door. I proceeded to go in. One of the workers walked past me to check the door locks and I asked him why were the doors locked at 7:30. He stated only the drive thru was open because only 2 people came to work. A woman behind the counter where I was standing to order told me those registers were off and I had to go through the drive thru. Hello?! What?! There were people seated eating and since I was standing there why not take my order, use the register by the window that was unlocked for my payment and give me my food? You want me to go back outside, get in my car and wait in the line when I'm already standing here? "No" she said "go drive thru". My mouth fell open. I was beyond done. I've eaten at scores of Wendy's restaurant locations (and am generally pretty happy with Wendy's), but I have found the Dekalb store to be the worst one I've been to...hand's down. I went there a few times...consistently poor...so we no longer give them our business. My experience has been that the staff is poorly trained, service is slow, and the dining area is a disaster (on my final trip, I couldn't find a clean table and had to clean one off myself before seating my youngsters. There were plenty of empty tables...just no clean ones.). The food tasted fine. The store just seems poorly managed and somewhat unprofessional. It's a shame...because my family likes Wendy's...but not this one! read more
