One of the most disgusting places I've ever eaten at. About three employees touched the fries with their bare hands and lean them against the display case of cookies. Went to drive thru at 10:30pm on a road trip and they refused to answer the intercom, workers were off in the parking lot goofing off with friends when I pulled in before running inside and pretending they weren't open even though lights were on and their hours stayed open until midnight. Came through the drive-thru with a mobile order for breakfast. Wendy's stops breakfast at 10:30 AM (or so I thought) but the delusional employee doing back cash informs me that they stop serving breakfast at 10:00 AM. I ask her, "since when", to which she replies, "we always have". I literally have a mobile order receipt from March, 2024 at 10:13 AM ordering breakfast items. Every time I come to this Wendys they mess up my order, then get rude when I ask for them to fix it, they make you wait at the menu for 10 minutes before taking your order (90% of the time there is only one other customer at the window), and then tell you that they're only accepting cash. My visit to this location tonight was my first visit and my last. The sandwich I ordered was not prepared correctly and it was cold. The fries were also not cooked completely. I paid over $8 for food that I didn't eat. There was some sort of verbal confrontation going on with the employee working the drive thru and the kitchen staff when I pulled up to pay for my order. I heard loud shouting and the employee tried to subdue it, but he was unable to. I'm not sure what is going on at this location. But I will not be returning and I recommend that no one else go there either. UPDATE: I contacted Wendy's corporate office, via their website, regarding our experience at this location. She gave me immediate attitude, rolled her eyes and tossed the new sandwich across the counter at me. Yesterday: They forgot my sandwich. Today: My husband and I pull up to the drive-thru, she asks for a moment then says "order whenever you're ready." So he starts saying his order and didn't get a response. He says "hello? Did you get that?" She says hold on just a moment. We sat there for 3-4 minutes and kept saying give me a sec. So finally we get her and he says his order. The only part she gets is the very last item and asks him to repeat his order. Worst Wendy's I've been to in my entire life! Though I must admit the food was OK... But the drive-through took 15 minutes that was the first time... And I was stupid enough to go back for the second time! After about 20 minutes I decided just to give up! These people will stand outside and smoke cigarettes with the line around the building! Management must have their heads somewhere we don't want to talk about! Avoid this Wendy's at all costs! The one in Decatur would be quicker to drive down there and come back then it would to wait in line at this one! There's a Wendy's downtown that will get you fed quicker than this one! I'm shocked they are still in business their service is so poor! Around 8pm on Friday, 9/21/18, at the drive-thru speaker, I ordered two chicken strip and one cheeseburger kid's meals at their after 4:30 price of $1.99 each. I also ordered two large Harvest Salads. The price I was given seemed correct for what I had ordered. At the window, I was handed a bag with one kid's meal, ... then another, ... then another, ... all at a long drawn out pace. He started to hand me the kid's meal drinks and I asked for them to be put together in a cup holder. I was given a tray of drinks, then a salad. He asked if I wanted croutons. I reminded him that I had ordered and paid for two Harvest Salads and yes, I wanted the croutons. He said "they" (meaning the cooks?) only saw one salad on my order. He asked me to pull up and wait. I waited at least ten minutes for my second salad while the first one wilted and the kid's food got cold. When my second salad finally arrived I returned the cold fries and asked for fresh ones. I waited again until he returned with "fresh" fries. It was daylight when I ordered and completely dark when I drove away! Once home I found there was no ice in the drinks; they were warm and flat as though they had been sitting out for hours. Even the taste was off. I dumped them. The cold cheeseburger was more ketchup than burger and the fries were cold again. The salads were okay except for the wilted lettuce - probably in the first salad I was given with hot chicken on top. There was no cheese in either salad. I reported these problems this morning (Monday), thinking they would want to know and correct these issues in the future. I asked to speak to a manager and the girl on the phone said she was a manager. I explained my experience and was told to hold while she got her manager! I had to explain it all again to "another" manager who was patronizing and obviously already irritated with me. The second manager blamed the soda vendor for the bad soda and company policy for the bad drive-thru experience. There was no apology whatsoever. After going through my entire order yet again, one by one, she asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I wasn't asking for either but accepted a refund so that I could use it elsewhere; I know other Wendy's are fast, courteous, and delicious! I expected to give her my address for the refund when she said I had to go back to that restaurant with my receipt to get it; I said I didn't still have the receipt and she said I could have a refund without it. She did not ask for my name or assure me in any way that if I went back to that store they would have any idea what I had been told. No thank you. I'd rather chalk this up to experience than go back to THAT Wendy's. read more

This Wendy's was one of my weekly stops for breakfast or lunch. I visited this restaurant on 11/28/2021 at approximately 5:45 pm, and ordered a $5.00 Biggie bag. I informed the order taker that I only wanted Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion and mustard on it, and she repeated it. When I got to the window, I paid my $5.40, and was given my drink. I was then asked to pull up to the door to wait for my order, because they were cooking fresh fries. I waited for approximately 6 minutes before someone came out with the wrong order. This young lady apologized and said she was just given the order and asked to deliver it to the car outside. The order was actually for the person that placed an order after I did. This young lady went back into Wendy's, and proceeded to play with a young man that was sitting inside the restaurant. She took a cell phone from him, and was laughing, and running from and playing as he tried to get it back. Three other cars were served and had left, so I backed up to the Pickup Window to try to get someone's attention. Someone who said she was the manager and her name was "Tiffany", came to the window, so I asked about my order. She apologized and said she would check on it. She left the window partially opened, so I heard her ask someone about my order. I could see someone making my sandwich, and giving it to "Tiffany", who then placed it in a bag. She gave me the order, and left the window to get ketchup packs for me. I checked my order, and found that the sandwich had ketchup and pickles on it. Since I don't like ketchup and pickles on my sandwiches, I knew that I didn't request that. She told me I did, and I informed her that I did not, and I reminded her that she had repeated my order back to me when I placed the order. She said that she could make a new sandwich for me, and I asked if she would. I watched as she walked over to the sandwich station and proceeded to make my sandwich. She never washed her hands or put gloves on. When she came back to give me the sandwich, I asked for a refund. She said that neither her nor the other manager would give a refund, because it's against company policy. "Tiffany" said that they have had too many people lie about something to get a refund. I was confused by this, because she had literally just given me my meal. I had not left the Pickup Window at all. I asked for a refund again, and she told me that she could not give me a refund, and she added that they were out of receipt tape. When I looked past her, I noticed one employee with gloves on, holding her cell phone and laughing with someone. There was another women with red velvet pants, and a hair covering that did not cover all of her long reddish braids, preparing drinks at the drink station, and the young lady that was taking orders out to customers, came back into the work area, and went directly to the drink station to prepare a drink. So unsanitary... I will no longer order ANYTHING from the Wendy's at Southtown Crossing, because they are extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and from what I did see, they are UNSANITARY. This is not the time to lower your standards on cleanliness, or customer service. This lesson only cost me $5.40, but that's about what this experience was worth. They won't receive another dime from me. read more

I have gone to particular Wendy's twice and overheard the cook asking the front worker if I was black or white. The woman asked, "she's white, what does it matter?" He said something and she looked over at me and started to laugh. I am not racist but apparently the people at this Wendy's is and did something to my food. The woman kept laughing and looking at me. I had purchased food for my family and one of which is a child. I drove off and ended up throwing the food out due to being worried.
