The patio tables have umbrellas, but they weren't enough to keep us (or our food) dry. We ended up grabbing the condiments and finishing our meal in the car instead. Obviously, the weather isn't their fault, but a little more covered seating would have been nice. I also would have loved to see Thousand Island dressing offered as a condiment--it would have been perfect on my burger. Fresh avocado as an add-on would have been another great option to take it to the next level. Overall, it's a fun, casual burger spot with good food, a dog-friendly patio, and friendly service. I'd definitely stop by again if I was in the Golden area.

I explained that I was planning to purchase a meal and simply needed to use the restroom before placing my order. The employee who spoke to me appeared to be a teenage boy (African-American/Hispanic) and was working at the front counter during the August 17th around 2:30pm. Instead of politely explaining the restroom policy, he repeatedly told me that I could not use it unless I paid for something first. I explained that I was going to eat there but needed to use the restroom before my meal. His tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. When I asked what he wanted me to order, he said, "Anything you want," but continued acting as though my request was unreasonable. A restroom policy is one thing, but there is no excuse for treating a potential customer with such disrespect. I work at Home Depot in the same parking lot, along with many other associates. Jack in the Box is one of the only nearby options for us to grab food during a break or after work, so the way customers are treated here matters. I will make sure my coworkers are aware of the disrespectful and horrible customer service I experienced so they can make informed choices about where to spend their money. Management should be able to identify the employee working the front register during that shift and address how this interaction was handled. Customers deserve basic courtesy, especially when they are planning to buy food at your restaurant.

This spot may be held near and dear by some folks who get nostalgic from the memories of eating…read morehere as a kid (50s diner vibe) but as someone who didn't grow up in Colorado, i can give you an honest review. Firstly, this place is swarming with a certain political party. It's almost as if they have a facebook group where they post meetups here to eat burgers together. I won't get political in a food review but it's definitely off putting to say the least. Second, while cheap ($10) for a meal -- it's also just not good. Unfortunately i hadn't met a burger i didn't enjoy in my 30 odd years of eating them but this one takes the cake. The burger its self is a smash styled patty but it's so thin i could cut myself on the edges. The bun it's served on is also very large and completely drowns out any flavor other than the bread itself. The toppings on the sandwich leave a lot to be desired as well. My burger had 3 small tomato slices on it (2 of them were ends where the vine sits) and 2 onion rings so thick you'd probably be better off frying them. All in all, growing up in the northeast i'm no stranger to diners but this one is just not good. I'm sure they'll coast on local nostalgia for a long while but i won't be surfing on that wave anytime soon.
