Horrendous!! I've been waiting over 40 minutes. 12 minutes, so far, just sitting in front of the speaker. I started to give my order and the guy asked me to hold on mid order. I turned my car off at the speaker because it was taking so long. Absolutely terrible! I'm typing this while sitting in front of the speaker waiting to complete my order. Finally got to order. The girl taking money must have been new because she had to have assistance twice to figure out how to get money out of the cash register. The guy at the next window was the most professional. I have waited in this drive thru for 30 min- 1 hour before on a regular basis. They are absolutely horrible and will disappoint you every time. The employees ruin this location and don't seem to care about anything. Also, they will never give you a receipt unless you specifically ask for one. When you go to the Wendy's website to report about your visit, they ask for info from your receipt. I'm sure this isn't by accident. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else. MY MESSAGE TO WENDYS CORPORATE: Start paying your employees enough to care and you would probably see a huge increase in sales. But instead you'd rather pay them the bare minimum so of course they dont. So after waiting in line for 20 minutes my food was cold and not how I ordered it. I ordered a Dave's Original combo. The meat was cold, dry, and drenched in mayo with a couple pickles. The only thing I said I didn't want was onion. So there should have been lettuce and tomatoes on it. You would think that after waiting in line for 20 minutes the food would at least be warm. One of the cooks yesterday threw 2 bags of chicken nuggets at another employee and they all fell on the floor and he was still about to drop them until a customer said something. I've been refused service mid day where an employee told me "we are only doing drive-thru today" Another time all the employees were sitting in the lobby and no one was behind the register working! The bathroom is very hazardous, broken napkin dispenser, no soap, completely unsanitary and right next to the kitchen! The homeless people use this bathroom to there convenience. I never write bad reviews. NEVER!!! However, this Wendy's is TERRIBLE and deserves some bad reviews. This is the second time we have gotten food WRONG and the staff was extremely rude. I don't expect much from fast food joints. A friendly person to take your order, maybe some napkins, maybe a correct order, and some hot food. That's it. I guess that is asking for a lot. There is a definite lack of fast food/drive thru options in Five Points, and I am happy about that. But sometimes you just need a quick bite, quickly, and I've found myself in this drive thru a few times over the past couple of years. The service is always short and rude. This location doesn't even deserve ONE STAR. The worse fast food joint in all of Jacksonville. Me and my family only come to this location we when visit riverside to take our kids to the park.... every damn time we come they take at least 5 minutes to acknowledge us at the speaker then we have to repeat our order at least two times before they get it right. Get to the window to pay and get our food and the employees are on their phones or talking inappropriately to one another. AND each time they get our orders wrong. Today topped it off, we ordered a salad paid for the salad then they tell us their out of salads AFTER we pay for the food. This Wendy's location used to be down right horrible. It was falling apart everywhere you looked. It is in such a prime location - sitting in Riverside Five Points. They shut it down, then knocked it down! They built a nice modern location that is far superior to the original. You can see it with the staff who have a sense of pride in where they work - Spence of urgency with the work they do. The front counter is much in a much smaller area due to new design. When I first came through the drive through to order my food the young girl on the other end of the receiver made me wait for a long time just to order my food on top of having a bad attitude, mind you there was only one person ahead of me and I could see they only ordered a 4for4, just like I planned on ordering except with a chicken sandwich that instead of a jr bacon cheeseburger. After making me wait forever they give me my food. So I reach in my bag to take a few French fries to discover they are soggy and digesting. I check the rest of my order to see a cold chicken sandwich, burnt chicken nuggets and worse of all COLD FRIES. When I pulled back around her tone had switched up and she politely said order whenever your ready. This made me feel as if she knew she was trying to pass sub par food to me. I asked for a refund and she said pull around. I wait behind 2 cars this time to get to the front. Know her manager is next to her and she asked me if I wanted to get some new fries that where fresh and right out the fryer. I declined and got my refund. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to. Today, I drove through and placed my order, as I have done many times before. After paying at the first window, I drove to the second window to pick up my food. They gave me my drink and told me that a new batch of fries was being prepared. They told me to drive forward a bit, and they would bring me the meal. I did as instructed and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. In the meantime, cars were passing me by and cussing at me with all the worst expletives. Finally, after 25 min, someone came out wit a bag containing fries only. I asked about the rest of the meal, and she gave me a blank stare. After another 5 min, the manager came out and asked me to move forward. I said I'm not going anywhere until I receive my food. She apologized and went back inside. Another 5 min passed and she finally came out with the rest of the meal. She apologized again, but I told her that it was way too late for apologies. I said I would never go to her store again. This is NOT the first time this has happened to me at this Wendy's. Once before they told me to drive forward and wait for them to bring me my food. I work nearby and have eaten here for 3 years. I haven't really had too many issues until the past few months. Lately, the drive through line has been really long, no matter what time of day. I normally eat a late lunch, 2pm - 3pm and have been waiting 20 minutes or more in the drive through line. As you pull up to the place to give your order, there's no greeting or recording, you have to ask, "hello?", that issue has been happening to me repeatedly. I've received the wrong order once recently and yesterday, massive food poisoning. I realize that food poisoning may have been completely out of their control, if it came in to their store like that, but I think overall there is a management problem there.
