3-18-22 Late lunchtime We are driving North and stop here as hubby wanted Wendy's. I had to use the restrooms first and they were fine. Due to odd time in between meals there was literally no wait. Ordered a double for hubby as a meal with strawberry lemonade. For myself I ordered a fried chicken filet with cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard. I do love that about Wendy's you can order the way you want. Surprised it was a lot of $$$ but all food is these days. We sat and ate our food before hitting the road. Glad I didn't order a meal as I ate hubby's fries which were exceptional with skin on very fresh tasting and definitely better than Mickie D'S not as great there anymore. Also drank hubby's strawberry lemonade it was a real treat but than it is loaded with sugar. I would have given an extra star but not the cleanest place in the world. Actually it is the kind of place you don't want to touch anything yikes. Associate at register was super nice I am sure like everyone they are short staffed. read more

The location is convenient, close to the exit from the interstate and it is easy to get to and from. It was super slow. With only one car in front of me at the drive through, it was close to 15 minutes from the time I placed my order until I received it and was on my way. I am thoroughly disgusted by the service today at the location on Veterans Blvd in Port Charlotte. I am not blaming the workers but rather the bosses at that location. Inside was suppose to be open until 10 pm. When I arrived at 8:01 pm the doors were locked and I saw three other people sitting inside at the restaurant. The only thing that was available was the drive thru...I got in line and ordered two drinks...just two drinks....I sat in my car for more than 35 minutes until I got to the front of the line to get my two drinks... The worker told me that two employees had called off and they were very short handed. This is total crap! It should not take over 35 minutes to get 2 drinks. For years and years, I would stop at Wendy's on the way home from work and get a couple of burgers and a Sm. Frosty. Wendy's had two functions for me: 1:) They were cheap and 2.) They were an accurate way to guage inflation. The taste was good and up until a year before covid, service was outstanding. Now days, your "out standing" er...parked in a side space waiting for your order. Restrooms are no longer available. Today I just so there for the shock value (to see prices) every once in a blue moon. Sit down restaurant pricing are where fast food restaurants are quickly headed. Came from Fort Myers to see my friend. Stopped for a quick meal. I stood for maybe 10 minutes. The Lady in front said she was standing waiting and workers were talking and not paying attention. I ordered baked potato and the lemonade both weren't too bad it just took a while to get it. While waiting I saw a girl breeze by the French fry section and grab a few fries with her hand and hide in the corner to eat them. I will never visit here again. Horrible staff and a Covid breeding ground. Staff on night shift did not use proper food handling procedures and none of the staff were wearing masks. Extremely rude and inefficient getting food orders wrong on top of the unsanitary conditions. Don't know how they pass a board of health visit. Good food. Filthy, filthy, filthy inside. Bathrooms slippery greasy floods, urine smell. Soap dispenser was out of soap and not even working. Automatic paper towel dispenser was not working although towels were in it. They had placed an automatic soap bottle refill on the sink counter, but there was no way to squeeze soap out. Everything in the store looks greasy. From the windows, railings, tables, dining room floor, soad machine touchscreen; all greasy. My youngest even said it was filthy; 6 years old. The tables were also dirty. I will never eat inside again and reconsider doing any business through the drive through. read more

I don't know what the drive-thru attendant's problem is. She's this short haired skinny girl who always gives my wife attitude whenever we go there, and usually gets our order wrong. She has absolutely no idea how to properly handle customers and doesn't seem to understand that her attitude should get her fired. Wow. What a simply FANTASTIC experience! With all due respect to those guys who make crappy sandwiches, this service was freaky fast! Dave would be proud. We arrived post-dinner, pre-late night and used the drive thru, so we cannot comment on the state of the interior. The was only one car in front of us, possibly due to the speed of service. We were greeted by an enthusiastic employee who spoke flawless Enlglish. She asked if we wanted to try one of their new promo items and when we declined, she cheerfully took our order, pausing and asking questions to ensure the order was a accurate. Our beverages, sitting in a drink carrier, awaited us upon our arrival at the window. Our order, which included a special order, was 100% accurate. The person who ordered the frosty noted it was the best one he has had this year. The fries were hot with just the right amount of salt. We also received ample napkins and correct amount of drinking utensils. If we had a complaint, it would be that we didn't stop at this place sooner. read more
